High Performance Elastic Waterproofing Elastiflex is a water-based, highly elastic acrylic coating developed for robust waterproofing across a range of surfaces. Designed to bridge cracks and prevent water ingress, it is certified for cracks up to 0.9mm and offers effective resistance up to 1.5mm. Suitable for both vertical and horizontal applications, Elastiflex delivers a semi-matt finish and long-term flexibility from -20°C to 60°C. It creates a durable and breathable layer that enhances energy efficiency and prevents carbonation. It is ideal for waterproofing interior and exterior façades, rendered walls, partition walls, and light wells - particularly where microcracks and moisture penetration are concerns. It is also effective on horizontal surfaces exposed to the elements or where access is difficult. For reinforced systems, it may be paired with suitable primers and meshes to strengthen protection in high-risk areas. VOC content of less than 30g/l – compliant with environmental standards. Application Guidelines Apply by brush, roller, or spray to a clean, stable, and dry surface. Cracks smaller than 0.6mm can be filled directly with undiluted Elastiflex. For cracks larger than 0.6mm, widen them in a wedge shape, remove dust, and apply Primerlite or Hidrocril. Always read the relevant data sheets before use, or contact us if unsure. Avoid applying in temperatures below 5°C, during rain, or when the surface is excessively hot. Allow surfaces to dry fully before applying to prevent blistering or the ‘snail effect’. Apply 2–3 coats depending on the porosity and exposure level of the surface. Stir thoroughly to ensure an even consistency. Recoat after 24 hours minimum. Unlimited maximum recoat time. Restrictions and Limitations Do not apply to wet, frozen, or excessively hot substrates. Not suitable for surfaces with standing water or poor drainage. Do not use solvents or non-compatible tinting systems. Surface temperature must be at least 3°C above dew point and below 80% RH. Not suitable for trafficable roof surfaces unless otherwise specified by the technical team. Do not dilute on horizontal surfaces. On vertical surfaces, can be diluted up to 10% with water. Preparation and Maintenance Remove old membranes, contamination, or poorly adhering coatings using paint remover or sandblasting. Level surfaces exceeding 1cm irregularity with appropriate mortars. Treat critical points like chimneys, drains, or wall junctions before full surface application. Avoid creating puddles and clean tools immediately after use with soapy water. Store in a dry, shaded location. Do not allow the product to freeze or overheat. Keep containers sealed and upright. Follow all environmental disposal guidelines.
