No reply on the email at all!!! Set up the direct debit in online banking from day1, and deduct the payment every week straight from my account. All the sudden, just send the email said the payment was overdue and need to charge for late payment. Turns out the amount I set was the promotion price. And after the promotion, no email notification for the price change which is fine.
But after receiving my payment, which is not same as the amount, cant not be allocated to my account and not letting me know which is not fine!!! And 7 days after that payment, charging for the late charge without letting me know whats going on and not bother to explain? Thats ridiculous. I think thats is the way they run the business. Not to mention they never reply the email, even you try to let them know you are moving out:)

Manager called me a lier. Said he had no facility to take payment for DHL, even though they’d done it 3 times in the previous 3 weeks. I even showed him the receipts. I was being gaslit by an ignorant narcissist… it’s near abusive.

I booked online and had a call with Paul Flynn, the storage consultant at Safestore - though there was no availability of the storage size I wanted, but Paul helped me to locate the best available option and spent quite tangible time to explain all the details I needed and how to process the booking further- which I did.
Great support from Paul, and understanding for the customer needs with professional attitude.

After trusting the store reassuring me that by relocating me to the ground floor,I would not have the issues again with access, as it was agreed that their was a issue with the lift, unfortunately here I am logging a complaint with out of office staff again, this time not BEING ABLE to ACCESS the unit via even the gate!, have proof and absolutely outraged. Unbelievable.
I was not happy with the level of service that I had been receiving as a consumer receiving from one of your members SafeStore in Nottingham. So many discrepancies and now yet again another access issue. I really believed the service was going to improve and had some faith, but after today I doubt it. Will be registering complaint officially with SSA as not happy with the code of standards. The poor level of service not only breaches the terms of business and contract but also affects interrupts my business, loss of my personal and business time, massive inconvenience, meant to be 24/7 clearly not, staff will now have limited access to equipment.
In past felt staff member associated with Safestore have not been honest, transparent and professional in their management, operations and customer service support overall all. I have been appalled by the level of unprofessionalism, limited access to the unit which ultimately affects my business.
After logging a complaint was informed that their was issue with the lift at LG floor.In good faith I trusted the service to not cause me disruptions, was relocated so issue with lifts will not affect me, instead now I can not even enter via the gate.
I have used safestore Nottingham just over a year and no end of issues, but after today's experience I am left with no choice but to express my views again on how appalling this store in the overall service.
Waited for the lift to attend and taken video of my experience with so much products to take up to the unit the lift would not attend at all, had no access. No notice of any lift issues either.
In past called CS spoke to Brinda to be further disappointed who had taken my contact number and requested me to give her a postcode of their store, which I'm sure she could of retrieved herself. Only to be then told, the engineer will be informed and as a customers I will not be notified, she will not call me back to update and not sure if I can get access in any-case. I was only told she will speak to her manager and end off. Explained I am at site, I need to know do I stay or go or will I get a call back etc, was told not sure, she can not comment. I was not asked once what my business details were etc.
Logged a complaint but was not given a complaint reference number, this is a serious matter of business interruption and inconvenience of time and money.
Other major concerns were unauthorized amount taken out of my business account, which finally were resolved.
Today 11/5/2022, I had no access to my unit today, have a recording, logged with out off office team, they offer no resolution, one minute I was told they will get me access straight away then told no access sorry.
This is not good.

Was helped by Jenny at the Nottingham branch. She was friendly and really helpful. Even when I had a issue to raise she was highly respectful of my concern and dealt with it amicably.

Absolutely disgraceful price increases. We have been with Safestore for a year (on an annual contract) and they have just increased the price of our second year of storage by 115%.
When there is competition for spaces this company (and many others) are surprisingly able to increase their prices to whatever they like, without any repercussions from consumer watchdogs or the government - Taking advantage of the covid pandemic and exploiting their long term customers. Very sneaky pricing and deliberate poor correspondence/lack of transparency of these increases.
The staff at the store were really lovely and helpful but the company absolutely stinks. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
(Am just waiting on the response from Safestore, as promised in a generic email from them, since this review was posted.)
