Left that clinic feeling very disappointed the doctor was rude and arrogant and ended up giving me the same medication that I get from the doctors that doesn't work they are just there to give you a quick over priced consultation with no real help if you suffer from eczema your better off staying with ypur GP or getting them to refer you dont wast your time paying for it yourself they do not actually help or they will drag it out for a long as possible so they can charge you more

I never leave a complaint about anything as I always choose to put it down to experience, but on this occasion I am so disappointed I feel I should warn other customers!! I have added all the email I received so you can your own mind up!! However two points to consider - an organisation that holds you to terms and conditions that you never signed or agreed?? But they failed to provide me the service I paid for but no consequences for them? All I wanted was the service I requested! Over 2 months later and three chaser calls this is the response!! I am appalled! I will be taking further action - but please prevent yourself being in a similar situation.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for affording us the opportunity to investigate the concerns raised in your complaint dated the 17th of October 2025. Following a full review of the concerns and having completed our investigation with the relevant internal teams, I hope this response provides clarity and reassurance.
Firstly, we would like to acknowledge your frustration and apologise that you feel your experience did not meet the standards we aim to deliver. It is regrettable that you felt the need to raise a complaint, but we are grateful that you did — feedback from our clients is crucial in helping us improve our service.
We understand that you raised concerns regarding your Laser Hair Removal packages for upper lip and chin that you purchased at our Edgbaston clinic on the 16th of July 2025. Our records indicate that your first treatment was scheduled for the 30th of July 2025, but unfortunately, this appointment had to be cancelled due to staffing issues. We also understand that you were expecting a call from the clinic to reschedule your appointment, which regrettably has not yet taken place.
We have since engaged with the Edgbaston Clinic Manager, Ms. Maisie Wilkins, and the team at the clinic are working diligently to ensure smooth operations for all clients. The team would like to extend their sincere apologies for the lack of communication and the handling of your previous appointment.
We fully acknowledge how frustrating this must have been, especially with the expectation of attending a clinic to receive timely and effective care. While we recognise that the scheduling inconsistencies you encountered at our Edgbaston clinic has fell short of both your expectations and our own, outlined within our Terms and Conditions we state; “pre-paid course treatments are only refundable for medical reasons which require approval of the Clinical Services Director. Any refund agreed is calculated by deducting the cost of all treatments already performed, from the total price of the course of treatment paid by the patient.”
In light of this, we must respectfully decline your request for a refund of your current package.
Whilst we have no contractual obligation to do so, as a gesture of goodwill we will provide an extension of your package of three (3) months. To confirm, the package expiration date for your Laser Hair Removal packages will now be the 16th of October 2026. Thereafter, any unused treatments will be redeemed.
While we cannot change your previous experience, we remain committed to supporting your treatment journey to a successful outcome.

I attended sk:n Clinic in Birmingham today for a dermatology consultation with Dr Andrew. The consultation itself was fine and I was happy with the advice given at the time.
However, I was issued a private prescription which cost £45. When I went to the pharmacy, I was told I would need to pay again for the medication, as the prescription fee only covers the paper, not the medicine. The pharmacist then explained that the same items could be purchased over the counter for much less, which I did instead.
I feel this should have been clearly explained by the doctor. Had I known the product was available over the counter, I would not have paid £45 unnecessarily. This lack of transparency made me feel misled and taken advantage of, particularly after paying for a private consultation.
sk:n Clinics should be upfront about prescription costs and advise patients when cheaper over-the-counter options are available. Transparency is key, especially for private patients who expect honesty and value for money.
I had a great experience for tattoo removal at the Edgbaston branch. The staff is very friendly and Cody has been very informative about the treatment. I’d certainly recommend this place for laser tattoo removal.
I wouldn't touch this company ever again, not with a bargepole, I saved up my universal credit money for years to get treatment for scarring on my lips, they told me that I needed an appointment with their dermatologist,at Birmingham, I seen the so called dermatologist, and he hardly even looked at my lips, and then he told me that I had Fordyce spots around my lips, I know that this is a complete lie because I've been to see lots of NHS doctors about this scarring, and none of them ever said that it could be fordyce spots, and I also knew that he was completely lieing because he said that I had the same as he had, and that you can't remove fordyce spots with lasers, this I know is a complete lie as well because I've watched fordyce spots being removed with lasers on TV , and then they had the nerve to charge me two hundred pounds, for just being lied to, and no treatment, just a cup of tea and a biscuit to make it look good on there part, I've been in touch with head office about it quite a few times now, they promised that I would get some money back, but I've never heard anything since from them, the company is just a big con ,
I was worried about this consultation as I've wanted to do this for myself for a while but never plucked up the courage to. From booking the initial consultation to filling the forms, to doing the test patch, the whole experience was super quick and the staff were super friendly and made me feel extremely comfortable. Larissa was absolutely amazing, she answered all my questions and was simply great!
I am very happy to hear that the Harborne Road branch is back open for business. I’ve been going there for years, and I was sad when it closed temporarily. I’m thrilled to see them back and was pleased to receive first-class treatment again last week, which was my first visit since they reopened.

I think £200 to tell someone they can't help them is a bit much. Then when complained about he claimed there was nothing there. I understand it's a business but £20.00 a minute ?. Normally if a business can't do a job you've been asked to do you don't pay, as they're not doing the job. To charge full price is unforgivable.

This has caused massive financial and emotional stress. No contact, no email nothing. Just vanished with our £11000. I WANT MY MONEY BACK
