We have been with Spaces for nearly a year. They have been very easy to deal with and the team on reception does an excellent job.

Extremely poor experience

Extremely poor experience - and they don't like to hear about it. Things that in particular stand out.

1. Confidentiality. Working in a day office that is designed to maximise offices and not for confidentiality - I had the unfortunate experience of a 2 sided glass office turning around to find 2 individuals from another office looking over my shoulder visibly trying to look at what was on my screen. This was reported to management. The offices walls are very thin and one can hear everything their neighbours say - and there are no communal sound booths etc. at the facility. If one can hear everything from next door then it is only reasonable to anticipate that they can hear you.

2. Unauthorised Charges. Their complex bills (and when you have to write in bold letters words to the effect of "HOW TO READ YOUR BILL" have been incorrect with us over multiple sites - and we have had to seek credit notes. Additionally they have issued an "additional ordered services" form to us (and charged us) with no such services ever being ordered. We have asked clearly and politely multiple times for Spaces to identify whom exactly ordered these services and of course there is absolute silence.

3. Incorrect charges - repeatedly. Despite a clear contract for months there have been incorrect charges on multiple location agreements - all of which had to be challenged and were credited. One should not have to watch things like a hawk - but one does.

4. Noise. Understand that the noise in these day offices is extremely high - from the corridors etc.

5. Cleanliness. The bathrooms need to be serviced - seriously....... enough said on that.

Perhaps rather than wasting time on sending now well over a month of 'we are looking into it' emails you actually fix the problems. This has happened to us on multiple sites and we have gone from being a 10 year + quiet client to just an incredibly unhappy one - terminating all services and counting the days until we no longer have to deal with Spaces.

The staff are very pleasant at 60 Martin Place - but the rest of it is just disappointing.

Spaces spent more time getting a previous genuine simple review taken down than on actually fixing the billing problems. Let's hope that the integrity of Trustpilot is there to allow this one to remain so other potential customers understand the issues.

Hi Nicholas,
I’m so sorry for your dissatisfaction.
We have noticed that you have posted 2 reviews for your centres in Sydney and Melbourne; our clarification to your concerns is as follows.
You signed four Virtual Office agreements with the same start date at different locations within our network as part of your business expansion.
You added your payment card for automated deductions to three of the accounts, except for the account in Dubai.
You informed us that when the payments were processed for your invoices, your bank temporarily froze your account; an issue you mentioned occurs each time payments are deducted.
We requested written confirmation from your bank to help us rectify the issue, but you declined to provide it. We advise you to please check this matter further with your bank.
Your account in Dubai is currently being handled by our collections team due to non-payment. Please add your payment card to the account and settle the outstanding balance. This will resolve the situation.
For the convenience of our customers, we provide three flexible mail handling options to meet your business needs at an economical flat monthly rate:
• Store and Collect – Store your mail safely to collect at your convenience.
• Monthly mail forwarding.
• Weekly mail forwarding (this is the default option if you do not select one).
As you don’t wish to use any mail-handling option, the service has been removed for your account, and related fees have been credited.
You also wanted us to cancel all your agreements due to the payment issues. Please be informed that a signed agreement is a formal business commitment, and it cannot be ended before its expiry date.
We are also ready to help you with the payment issue, but you’ve declined to provide the details we are requesting.
Your agreements will end according to their expiry dates.
You should confirm the end of each agreement through your online account (myspacesworks.com) by going to Account > Products and services > End Agreement. This will ensure that your agreements are not renewed for another term.
We apologise for any inconvenience you’ve experienced following the closure of the Regus centre in 567 Collins Street, Melbourne. A centre closure can be a frustrating experience for customers, and it’s something we try to avoid wherever possible. We understand that you'd have appreciated greater notice. Unfortunately, on this occasion we were unable to provide it, but I will make the relevant enquiries and take steps to prevent the situation from happening again.
Your Virtual Office agreement under this centre will end on 19 September 2025 in line with the centre closure date.
Your concerns related to the centre facilities have since been addressed by your centre team.
Thank you,
Lorraine Brule
