I want to be transparent about something: this is my third negative review in three months, and I take no pleasure in writing it. I am not, by temperament, a man who enjoys public complaint. I am, however, a man who has exhausted every private alternative.
I have called. I have spoken to reception. I have raised a case on the portal, engaged with a representative until they apparently lost interest and closed it unilaterally, and attempted to reply directly to a named individual, only to receive an automated notification informing me that emails from outside the organisation to actual human beings are not permitted. Whether this policy exists to protect staff from difficult customers or to protect the organisation from a paper trail is, I suppose, a matter of interpretation.
The underlying issue is this. I hold a paid rental agreement for an office. I possess a key. On the one occasion this month that I needed to use the space, having continued to pay for it throughout, without complaint, I arrived to find another person's belongings on the desk and in the drawers. Branded stationery. Medication. Photographic evidence exists.
The receptionist, to her credit, achieved an impressive shade of pale upon my enquiry, denied all knowledge, and then, in a gesture that rather undermined the denial, and to avoid contact with the owner of the belongings, swiftly relocated me to an office on the opposite side of the building. The speed of that relocation suggested a level of institutional awareness that the subsequent silence has done nothing to confirm.
I have paid for a space. Someone else was simultaneously occupying it. This is, at minimum, a breach of contract, and at maximum something a solicitor might find interesting on a slow afternoon.
Matthew T, if the algorithm surfaces this to you before my emails do, do get in touch. We have unfinished business, and I remain, against considerable odds, open to a reasonable resolution.

We have been with Spaces for over 4 years having used their services / offices in the UK and South Africa (Johannesburg and Cape Town) but received absolutely shocking aftercare service. We have waited over 60 days to get back our deposit!! What is worst is that they had the audacity to charge interest on any late payment but refused to acknowledge that the deposit was due. As an avid member of EO (Entrepreneurs Organisation) it is shocking how badly their accounts department treats business owner who are ultimately their target clients. Extremely shocking.
