Absolutely appalled by the treatment I received as a visitor

I recently visited one of the companies based in the Maylands Building. Upon arrival, I approached reception to inform them of my visit. Despite clearly marked visitor bays being completely empty (around 10 spaces), I was told I was not allowed to park there. I explained that I was a visitor, exactly who the bays are meant for, but was told that due to internal arrangements with the company I was visiting, I could not use the visitor parking. Instead, I was advised to park over 10 minutes away in a Tesco car park.

I made it very clear that I am disabled, and walking long distances is extremely difficult for me. I also drive a high-value vehicle and prefer not to leave it in areas without cameras or places I cannot be in close distance to my vehicle.. Despite all this, the two receptionists were dismissive and completely unwilling to help. They showed zero empathy or willingness to make a reasonable exception.

As a business owner, I had actually been considering this building as a potential location for one of my companies. After this experience, I will absolutely not be moving forward with that, and I will be sharing this experience with other professionals I know.

Shocking lack of accessibility, poor management, and disgraceful customer service.

I’m sorry you had this experience and apologise for any inconvenience this caused.
The building management of the centre you visited have ownership of the visitor parking; it is not controlled by us. The front desk is also manned by the landlord’s team so it’s possible the interaction you refer to was not with our team.

regret to share my recent…Disappointing Experience with Spaces

regret to share my recent dissatisfaction with Spaces' services. The prolonged heating problem over nearly three months has resulted in subpar working conditions, compounded by a lack of acknowledgment from your team. Attempts to communicate concerns were met with ineffective solutions and a notable lack of responsiveness.

Furthermore, when seeking an early contract termination due to the evident breach, my request was summarily refused, showcasing a lack of accountability.

My experience with Spaces has been regrettable, and I caution others considering your services. I hope this feedback prompts a reevaluation of your practices.

I’m sorry if you felt the need to escalate this.
Your grievance is relating to the heating in the coworking section of the centre. The current temperature in the office averages 18C and suggests that the heating may not be working at its optimal levels. The local team already initiated a repair request and will keep you updated on the status. However, all the emails you have directed to the centre have always been answered in a timely fashion so your comments regarding “a lack of acknowledgment from your team” are not accurate. You have already been offered an alternative desk or even a private office but you have refused.
We have several options on terms, products and locations to try and suit everyone’s circumstances, but we also have a business to run and cannot cancel an agreement earlier than its specific end date; your agreement ends 30 September 2024.
The local team have contacted you again with offers of alternate spaces; they are your primary contacts and will be happy to discuss your options.
