A very productive and knowledgeable meeting. Very friendly and gave good advice. Still considering my options as the financial consent side of the divorce is very expensive.

Divorce is a complex and emotionally challenging process, and it is never something you expect to find yourself navigating. There are so many factors to consider from different angles, and understandably I was experiencing a high level of stress and anxiety when seeking initial legal advice.

Once you get used to the remote communication, it all works very well. The process cost more than I'd hoped but that was due to circumstances beyond Stowe's control i.e the other party

Timely contacts, clear billing, effective action.

The legal representation was overall very professional regarding the Divorce, the NMO and the Financial Agreement. Although I did find one omission myself regarding the financial agreement which I then pointed out to my solicitor. Sometimes there were delays in hearing from the solicitor due to her other commitments in court which I found somewhat frustrating at times particularly given the high fees involved. It should be noted that the fees were rather expensive as £27 was charged per email even if it was just one line!

Joanne has patient and thoughtful throughout. Strong and helpful advice was offered with empathy and knowledge.

Very quick to keep asking you for money to keep your account topped up but extremely slow & very sloppy service overall. Another firm that probably piles cases & expectations on their solicitors who then have limited time to deal with your case proficiently. My solicitor was cleary knowledgeable but everything was rushed, the names of the other parties involved in my case were spelt incorrectly in every single correspondence so can't believe any cross checking or proof reading was going on and largely my queries were not answered sufficiently leaving me to chase up for answers. Often significant delays in responding to the other party always meant my solicitor was always ten steps behind, became a complete waste of my time providing them with instructions. Was sent a price increase notification, then told it was sent in error, only to then receive it again twice more.
I didn't realise you had to be a mind reader to know what your solicitor's schedule is at this firm as she often informed me why she wasn't available after the fact which clearly isn't helpful. When you're paying £240 plus p.h then it's shouldn't be unreasonable to expect better. I would encourage anyone to deal with issues without going to people like this if you can because all you do is line their pockets & you may have very little to show for it. Failing that, try and find a component law firm that actually give a toss about providing a proficient service to their clients. Wouldn't use again if they offered their services for free.
