I purchased my current M2 from BMW here last year and have continued using them for servicing both this car, my wife’s X7 and my daughters 1 series. The service department has generally been very good — they regularly ask for reviews and for that side of the business I would happily give 5 stars.
Unfortunately, the sales side of both MINI and BMW has been far from helpful or professional.
Sytner offered to value my wife’s X7 for a potential part exchange. I was given a valuation over the phone and told that someone would contact me shortly to discuss options. However, I never received any follow-up call or message.
We then visited the dealership to discuss part exchanging the X7 for a new Mini Cooper. After browsing the showroom for around 15 minutes without being approached, we had to knock on a glass office to ask someone to assist us. I explained my disappointment that BMW had not returned my call. The Mini salesperson apologised and said the departments are separate.
He was able to locate the Mini we were interested in, but could not find any record of the part exchange valuation that BMW had previously offered. Instead, we were given a lower figure. When I asked to speak to the person who had originally provided the valuation, I was told he was on annual leave.
Despite this, we still wanted the Mini and left with the promise of a call back within the hour to see what deal could be arranged. Several days later, we have still received no call or message.
To me, it feels like inflated prices are quoted over the phone simply to get customers through the door, only for the terms to change once you arrive. Had either salesperson simply followed up as promised whether or not a deal could be reached, this feedback could easily have been avoided.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend Sytner Sheffield BMW or Mini.
I’ve now made a deal with Stratstone who offered£500 more for the part ex and have access to the same car from mini snyway.

Worth travelling from West Yorkshire to South Yorkshire to buy a car.
Jody was very professional and business like throughout. He knows the cars he’s selling. He’s very informative and easy to follow. We were grateful he came to meet us from the Meadowhall train station too, first when we came to view the car and the second time when we came to collect it.

A delight to deal with
It was a very pleasurable experience dealing with Sytner Mini Sheffield. I was sourcing a used car for my mother and having never bought one over distance before, they could not have made it a more straightforward experience. Prompt, efficient and extremely courteous customer service by one member of the team in particular (J.Brown) who could not have been more helpful. My mother is thrilled with her new car which was delivered by a delightful young man who guided us quickly through the paperwork on the day. Overall, fantastic service and I could not recommend them highly enough.

The whole process from initial enquiry through to taking delivery of the car was very efficient and Adam kept us informed of the progress with the car and the handover was very slick and painless.
