I've been coming to Tenpin Bristol since I was a kid, and it's definitely improved over the years. It's now one of the better bowling and entertainment venues in the area, even if there are still a few things that could be better.
The bowling itself is solid. It's nothing groundbreaking, but the lanes are well maintained, the equipment works well, and it's consistently a good experience. I'd probably rate the bowling itself around a 7/10.
The arcade has a decent selection of games. It could be a bit bigger and have more variety compared to some dedicated arcades, but there's still enough to keep you entertained. The games are a little pricey, although that's pretty standard these days.
The pool tables are one of my favourite parts. The tables themselves are in good condition and are always fun to play on. My only complaint is that the pool cues aren't great and could definitely do with being replaced.
I've also played table tennis and air hockey, both of which are great fun. The table tennis equipment was just there to use, which was a nice surprise, although I'm not actually sure if you're supposed to pay for it. I haven't tried the karaoke or escape rooms, so I can't comment on those.
The food is okay—perfectly edible, but nothing you'll be talking about afterwards. Portions are about what you'd expect, and while the menu isn't huge, there's enough choice for most people. My biggest criticism is the pricing. The food feels quite expensive for what it is. Drinks are also on the expensive side, but they have a good selection and the prices don't feel unreasonable.
The staff are generally friendly. They can sometimes seem a little unsure or get confused when there's a problem, but to their credit they've always managed to sort things out in the end.
One area that's noticeably improved is cleanliness. Years ago it wasn't brilliant, but it's much better now and the venue generally feels well looked after.
The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a bowling alley. The music isn't really my taste, but the lighting works well and gives the place a fun feel. It can get fairly loud, although I've been to much noisier venues.
The seating could definitely be improved, especially around the pool tables. If you're waiting for your turn, there isn't really anywhere comfortable to sit apart from a few stools. During the recent heatwave it also felt quite warm inside, so better air conditioning would be welcome.
Booking is easy, queue times are usually reasonable, parking is convenient thanks to the retail park location, and it's very family friendly. I've been visiting for years, and it's nice to see how much the place has improved over time.
Overall, I wouldn't necessarily tell someone to travel across the country just to visit, but if you live nearby and haven't been before, it's definitely worth checking out. I'll certainly keep coming back because, despite a few flaws, it's one of the better bowling and entertainment venues in the area.

Venue was clean and a nice atmosphere, all staff I interacted with were warm and friendly.
My only criticism was the bar, no fault of the staff working. With so many orders being made both at the bar and in tables there was a back log throughout our visit.
But when I checked at the bar after a delay on my table order they explained and apologised.
Like I say the staff were great, just busy.

I booked a karaoke room birthday party for a group of 9year olds, the room was spacious and the machine easy to use although it didn’t have very current songs on it. There was only 3 inflatables in the room for a group of 10, 1 microphone wasn’t working, i took this back to reception twice and kept getting the same broken Microphone back. The children enjoyed the food and icecream.

This venue has a better layout than other brands and it manages the different spaces and services on offer very well. The toilets both male and female had a terrible stench and could have been cleaner.

Brilliant experience. Lane was ready for our time slot, no glitches. We enjoyed it so much we had another game. Staff were really helpful to keep us on the same lanes. Great service.

Bowling was good, although I didn't feel it was great value for money. Worst part was we put 10 in the change machine and only got £8.10 back. Went to the till to tell them where they told me it's a different company and they would have to take my details and address so the company can investigate. Not happy, was my little boys first time bowling and we missed out on a few games because of this. Drinks and food were pricey too. The young guy at the till was however great and was great with my young son.

Staff were really helpful when I booked the laser tag party! When we had the party the staff organising the event and bowling, and the guy serving food to us all were really great. Definitely recommend.
