My Vauxhall combo had a re call from Vauxhall. I had to take it to Vospers commercial.
Word of advice- never use them
It is now 4.5 months on and I don’t have the van. Then it is finally worked on and I am told it’s ready Wednesday or Thursday. The I rang to check and was told Friday. Then I rang and am being told Monday. They are a very unprofessional company with very little contact.
You have had your warning. Don’t use them
I booked my Transit Custom in to Bospers Ford in Exeter to get a drive shaft replaced. I knew it was the drive shaft but had to go through their £180 diagnostic anyway. After carrying this out I was told I needed near and offside drive shafts replacing but they didn’t find anything else wrong. I left the van there first thing Tues morning and I heard nothing by Friday morning. I contacted the garage and was told the parts had not arrived and that they had no idea when they were going to arrive! I decided to pick the van up and I’m taking it somewhere else with competent people. They still charged me the £180 for the diagnosis .. even though I knew what was wrong and then a further £11 to replace a headlight bulb that I had supplied them with anyway despite not being able to carry out the work.
No apology, no ‘would you like to re-book, nothing. They may be family owned but they don’t have family values. Avoid.
Couldn’t thank Zoe enough for making all of my experience so easy and not one bit stressful! She sorted everything that needed to be done and explained everything I needed to know

When I bought my MG at Vospers I was happy with the service. Now I have a fault with the car not so much. I thought Vospers were a one stop shop. Buy a car with a warranty, peace of mind if you need to have vehicle in for repairs. Courtesy or hire car replacement while you have repairs carried out. But the hire car seems to be a totally different company Phristy ??. So now I have to wait for them to contact me for this service. Vospers have kept me waiting on the phone for a 1/2 hour waiting to speak to someone so I put the phone down and start all over again. When I manage to speak to somebody I’m told waiting on a part. Not got a problem with that but then I’m told they will instigate a hire car and someone will call me but it won’t be from Vospers but another company. What ever happened to the courtesy car from the dealership you bought the car off. When I get my car back I will be trading it in for a different make from a different dealership. Customer service is very short of mark. All phone calls were made by me even tho Vospers said they would call me back.

We were allowed to make our own decisions on what we wanted and did not feel under pressure.
Zoe was patient and professional during our deliberations

Picked up our new vehicle on the date and time stated. Jenny the sales team looked after us very well. The car was perfect and they made sure we had enough fuel. We were introduced to the service team we already knew Mark. We had a slight issue on the 3rd day but Mark sorted it with a phone link with Emily in technical service, all sorted.
We highly recommend Vospers Exeter the sales and service team are very professional. Thank you

I purchased a brand-new Ford Ranger MS-RT from Vospers Exeter on 20th Aug and, shortly after taking delivery, identified multiple issues with the vehicle, including paint/bodywork defects, an electric window fault, software/screen issues, significant window rattle and, most seriously, an issue with the rear seat locking mechanism.
I formally rejected the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and provided photographs and video evidence. Vospers initially acknowledged the issues and arranged for the vehicle to be inspected (4th Sep).
I cooperated fully with their requested inspection. The vehicle was subsequently inspected and Vospers confirmed that the rejection had been submitted to Ford and that the case had been passed to Ford's Misbuild department for a decision.
Despite this, the matter has now been ongoing for several weeks without a substantive decision. Vospers has told me that it is waiting for Ford, while Ford Credit has separately acknowledged my formal complaint and advised that it is investigating.
I appreciate that some aspects of the process may be outside the dealership's direct control. However, from a customer's perspective, being left for weeks without a resolution after rejecting a brand-new vehicle is extremely disappointing.
The biggest issue for me is not simply that the vehicle had faults; it is how difficult and prolonged the process of resolving them has become. I expected a significantly better level of customer service when purchasing a new vehicle from a main dealer.
I am still awaiting a resolution as of 2nd Oct.

I recently purchased a car and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Robert Cosford was excellent—friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout the whole process. He provided great service, answered all my questions, and made the purchase smooth and stress-free.
I’m very happy with my new car and would definitely recommend the dealership to anyone looking for a great service and a hassle-free car-buying experience.

I have used Vospers Peugeot multiple times and have generally been happy with their service in the past, but my recent experience has been incredibly disappointing.
Issue 1: Ignored Online RequestsBooking a vehicle in online is simple, and the system allows you to select optional add-ons like wiper blades or key fob batteries. However, the last two times I used this system, my requests were completely ignored. On this most recent visit, I specifically requested new batteries for my keys, and nothing was done. Why offer these options online if the service team is going to ignore them?
Issue 2: Expensive and Incomplete RepairsI booked my car in for a service and requested a full health check because the battery had been flat for over a month. After replacing the battery, the car exhibited several severe electrical faults: the auto door locking activated randomly, the key wasn't recognised, the touch-handles failed to open the doors, the dashboard falsely claimed the driver’s door was open (preventing the car from starting), and the alarm went off constantly. The health check flagged these issues, and I was quoted £1,048 for the repairs. Due to ongoing health reasons, I couldn't get the work done immediately. When I booked it in, I waited two weeks for an appointment. When the parts arrived, they were the wrong color. Worse yet, after leaving the car at the garage and paying the full £1,048, I discovered upon collection that only the door handle had been replaced. Every single electrical and alarm fault remains completely unresolved. When I contacted the garage to complain, I was told they couldn't fit me in to look at it until October 7th. This completely disrupts my upcoming holiday.
Issue 3: Appalling Treatment Over Payment System Vospers has introduced a new online payment system through a company called Bumper. This system requires a direct bank transfer. No one explained to me beforehand that this was mandatory. When I arrived and preferred to use my debit card—which is entirely legal tender in the UK—I was belittled by two members of staff simply because I didn't know I "had no choice." While they eventually relented and accepted my card, they made it plainly clear that they would not do it again. To be belittled over a payment preference and to pay over £1,000 only to receive a car that is still completely broken is entirely unacceptable.

Initially I gave a 5 star review with regard to our purchase of a brand new Omoda 7 on 8th September 2026 that stands for Ollie whom we dealt with, However....
We drove the car out of the showroom, but 10mins later we were back. There was a high pitched noise which could not be stopped.
We were advised, after several staff shaking their heads that it was likely to be the amplifier, and, the car needed to go back in for the Tech team to look at it.....we were provided with a courtesy car.
Forward to 14th Sept call received yes it had been looked at over the last few days and all appeared good but they were just going to check it by linking it to a phone to make sure all ok...
.30mins later , surprise the noise was still there so would be checked again by Tech team.
All of this we were told was a priority but today another call stating it may be looked at Wednesday or Thursday .
This is a brand new car and we're not filled with confidence as to the "priority" that this is being dealt with.

I enquired online about a Mazda 3 that had just come in for my son. Communication was good, he paid a deposit and waited while it was prepped, serviced, polished etc. The person dealing was Matt from Truro branch. Kept him informed of progress and a few videos of it. Was delivered on time. Was a bit dubious of buying online without viewing but as they are a reputable Mazda dealer and the car had warranty all felt good. Hopefully will not need to test their after sales service 😁.
Thank you, he is very happy.

I was able to get a genuine Ford part for my car online, for which I am very grateful. My car is now fixed. Thank you.

Dan Passmore was really helpful and answered all of my questions while helping me to choose a car. The whole team in the used car department were friendly and knowledgeable and I would recommend buying from the Exeter branch.

I have tried to email the company on several email addresses putting none of them seem to work and they get returned, hence me writing the review on here to enable some reply.
So whilst it would appear that the sales team have elicited a seemingly overwhelmingly positive review on here, unfortunately the Motability service I received from the Vauxhall showroom was completely the opposite.
I dropped my car off and had previously requested a courtesy car. I was told there would be an insurance charge, which I hadn’t been informed of and was told I could hire a car from Hertz across the road for much more if I didn’t like it. I intended to pay when I returned the vehicle.
While driving the courtesy car, the windscreen became dirty, and when I tried to clean it, I discovered there was no washer fluid. So, I had to stop and buy some myself just to drive safely, and I kept the receipt. When I returned the vehicle and explained what had happened, I was interrupted and told, “I don’t want your life story.” which I found both rude and dismissive. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told I already was.
During the conversation, he challenged me to go outside and fight him. I found this completely unacceptable, intimidating, and threatening. I’m 62 years old and walk with a stick, so this was particularly distressing. I still await the reimbursement of the cost of the washer fluid. I wonder what action they will take to ensure other disabled customers are not subjected to similar treatment.

Went to there jaecoo branch and no one took us on or even acknowledged us. We walked round outside and went inside and still nothing so we decided if this is the service they give then we would go else where. Shame as we went else where a purchased a brand new car.
Customer service shocking and not all staff were with customers but not even to say hello. But then I had also inquired via email and there website and never got any response

**Very disappointing after-sales service and customer care**
I would strongly recommend thinking carefully before buying a car from Vospers if you expect good after-sales service and customer support.
There are currently three members of my family, including myself, who have had poor experiences with Vospers when faults have developed on cars that are still under warranty.
The biggest issue has been the length of time it takes to get a vehicle properly diagnosed. In our experiences, we have been looking at seven or eight weeks or more before the car could actually be inspected. Being without a car for that length of time is extremely difficult, particularly when the vehicle is still under warranty, and we have not been provided with a courtesy/hire car to cover the waiting period.
Unfortunately, the level of professionalism and customer service we experienced was also extremely disappointing. On one occasion, we simply asked whether we could have a copy of the warranty so that we could read the terms ourselves and understand exactly what was and wasn't covered. Rather than providing this or explaining the situation clearly, we were repeatedly told, “I already know what it says,” and that there was no higher level of coverage.
We weren't asking for anything unreasonable — we simply wanted to see the warranty documentation and understand the terms for ourselves before accepting that a fault wasn't covered. Instead, we felt repeatedly dismissed when trying to ask perfectly reasonable questions. The interaction became very uncomfortable.
Regardless of the circumstances, customers should be able to ask questions about a warranty on a vehicle they've purchased without feeling dismissed or made to feel like a nuisance. Good customer service means explaining things clearly and professionally, particularly when there is a disagreement about whether an expensive repair is covered.
Even after eventually getting vehicles diagnosed, we have experienced disputes over whether faults are covered by the warranty, with the customer potentially being expected to pay for repairs.
What is particularly frustrating is that these aren't isolated experiences within our family — three of us have now had bad experiences with Vospers.
I appreciate that dealerships can be busy and that not every repair will necessarily be covered by a warranty. However, waiting seven or eight weeks simply to have a vehicle diagnosed is, in my opinion, completely unacceptable, particularly when customers have purchased their vehicles from you and are relying on you to support them when something goes wrong.
By comparison, I have had much better experiences with BMW. Their servicing and customer support may sometimes cost more, but there is far greater confidence that problems will be dealt with promptly and that you will be supported while your vehicle is being repaired.
Based on our experiences, I would personally recommend that prospective buyers look beyond the initial price and specification of the vehicle and seriously consider the dealership's after-sales service.
Buying the car is only part of the experience. How a dealership treats you when something goes wrong matters just as much — and unfortunately, Vospers have fallen very short for our family.

Overall was excellent. Very pleased with the car I purchased and how the purchase process went. The customer advisor (Alan) was very professional and knowledgeable. He took account of my severe/profound hearing impairment and made sure I understood everything that was said. Was very reassured I made the right choice of car and purchasing it through Vospers and would do so again in future.
