No pressure and lots of help in the Shoreditch branch
Natalie assured us we could try out all the beds. No worries about our shoes as each has a fabric cover to protect them. We spent a long time literally trying every bed on the ground floor.
The staff never hassled us, just checked in how we were once or twice. I asked lots of questions and Natalie Olasoji had all the answers. It's easy to sell a mattress when it has a 10 year warranty and the customer nearly fell asleep while trying it out! The staff even kept the store open a bit late so that I could purchase the mattress I had fallen for.
The mattress were all 'worn in' so they better represent what it will be like to live with. One of them was very new and did feel a bit stiff. Natalie explained it takes about a month for them to settle down. Also gave us advice about turning and flipping them so they stay in tip top condition for longer. (Care instructions are attached to the e-mail order confirmation.)
My property has quite a narrow staircase. The existing mattress is the same size but the Warren Evans one is noticeably thicker. Natalie assured me if it doesn't fit they will return it, rather than forcing it as that would risk any damage. In this situation they would refund everything, even the delivery fee.
You can change the mattress within the first 120 days if you don't get on with it. Really can't say fairer than that. My friend started considering swapping her recently bought mattress for a slightly more expensive one. The staff advised keeping it a bit longer so it can settle. There is no rush as 120 days is very generous.
My friend has owned a Warren Evans mattress for some years. They can seem expensive but they really last. Spreading the cost over a few years made me realise it costs just pennies for every comfortable night's rest. Some of the more expensive ones have a 10 year warranty making the value for money surprisingly good.
Really looking forwards to the delivery this weekend. Hope it fits!
