**My $4,000 xTool F2 Ultra UV is unusable, with no practical repair solution**
I bought an xTool F2 Ultra UV for approximately $4,000, but its engraving performance has deteriorated significantly over time. I previously engraved glass at a speed setting of 150 and 90% power. Now, I cannot achieve the same result even at a speed of 50 and 100% power.
After I contacted xTool support and completed the tests they requested, they confirmed that there was a fault with the machine.
I purchased the machine in the UK and brought it to Turkey, where I use it. At the time, xTool did not sell its machines in Turkey, although it does now.
xTool offered to repair the machine but required me to return it to the UK. When I asked about having it repaired in Turkey, they initially told me they would arrange something with their Turkish partners. A few days later, however, they told me this was not possible and that I would still need to return the machine to the UK.
I explained that my UK visa had expired and that travelling with the machine to the UK, waiting for repairs, and bringing it back to Turkey would be extremely expensive and impractical.
I am now left with a machine that cost approximately $4,000 and that I cannot use for its intended purpose. Although xTool has offered a repair in the UK, it has not provided a practical solution to my situation after initially indicating that local assistance could be arranged.
I am asking xTool to help arrange a repair in Turkey or provide a practical alternative that does not require me to travel personally to the UK.

What can we buy next!
We love both of our XTools! We actually have 2 machines the S1 and the F2, that we love and my office mate is actually waiting on his Omni so we will have 3 in the office! what can we get next is the real question! They are easy to navigate and work with.

Xtool is a great company that has a great product. I own the Xtool F2 and decided to buy the Xtool S1 because I wanted a larger laser for bigger projects. This machine should have all the power I need for what I’m wanting to do. This machine uses the Xtool software which makes it so much easier to use.
I only wish it had a camera or a way to add one after market. I knew it did not have the camera when I bought it.
I considered buying the even larger CO2 laser. The cost was a bit more than I wanted to spend at the time and I felt the machine was larger than I had space for in my craft area.
I’m still learning all I can do with my S1 and I’m still using my F2 for smaller projects.

I just purchased an xTool F2 Ultra and AP2. I am a complete newbie to laser tools. I did the tutorials then I started exploring the laser in priority order of how I will actually use it. Being a metalsmith I started with Engraving. Did test arrays, and started getting used to the workflow. Then I did some deep embossing. Had to learn about SVG files, STL files, what they do and how to convert them. So far I'm getting reasonable results and i haven't had to contact xtool for support. The Studio software is pretty easy to learn. And the downloadable projects are an easy way to just make stuff right away without too much fuss. Even though I was really dreading the learning curve, it has been quite enjoyable. The tool itself seems very solid. It's pretty quiet. Unboxing and setup is easy. Now I am going to learn how to cut metal... keep your fingers crossed

I've had nothing but a positive experience with my Xtool and the Xtool company. The M1 Ultra is an amazing tool, but the best part is the ease of operating the machine and the studio. Having the Xtool Academy to learn the tool and reference when needed, is such a great benefit to owning this machine. This has been earlier to learn than a Cricut machine.

I own the P2S, the F1 Ultra, the M2, all the accessories for each one plus i own the DTF printer Combo with everything you can get. I am a believer in XTool and their incredible ecosystem. Each morning, I start my day by checking the XTool webpage to see if the new embroidery machine has been released so that i can place an order for the XTool Omni premier combo with the SE1. I feel reborn after a career in the Army, an ongoing career as an attorney and my new found career in the Maker World.

I have been using xTool equipment for my small laser engraving business and have been very impressed with the quality and capabilities. I started with the P2 CO₂ laser and later added the F1 Ultra with the conveyor, rotary attachments and air purifier.
The P2 has been excellent for cutting and engraving wood projects, while the F1 Ultra has taken our business to another level with fast metal engraving, detailed customization and the ability to engrave products live at events. The machines feel well built, produce professional results and give us the flexibility to create everything from layered wood designs to personalized knives, cups and customer-provided items.
xTool Studio is straightforward to use and continues to improve. There is definitely a learning curve with advanced settings and different materials, but the available resources and community support make it manageable. Overall, xTool has provided reliable equipment that has helped us expand what we can offer through G&M Laser Engraving & More. I would confidently recommend xTool to anyone serious about starting or growing a laser engraving business. Would love to part of the test team!

I’ve recently purchased the F2 Ultra UV and it’s been great. Super simple to set up and use. The entire ecosystem they’ve built has been great. The software, the hardware, and the material selection has just been awesome. I look forward to purchasing more machines in the future.

The program needs more lessons on basic functions specific to the f2 ultra dual and i can no color engrave on any thin stainless.

Hi love XTool as a company and the products. Their customer service is top notch. I had to contact them several times for M1 Ultra and they were extremely helpful. Currently I own the M2 and I love it. It is an amazing craft laser and a perfect companion to my Cricut. It has a great entry price. Looking forward to making many more projects

Setup was a breeze. Like both the F2 Ultra UV and the F2Ultra. Very pleased XTool Studio works well on both machines. I use Atomm for designs and XTools materials work great.
Only drawback, and it’s minor, is the XY orientation in the XCS. Would be wonderful if I could setup my design from the center on XY. Calculations of the offset confuse me.
On my CNC using Vectric, the option to use the center for XY zero is an option. It would really help me to have that option available. No doubt y’all can make that change.
Thanks

I wished I could own everything that x tool has. I love my xtool apparel. I love my xtool f2 ultra uv. I made 600 dollars today with my xtool apparel.

I received my M2 and associated extras in a timely manner. I am loving my M2 and it's ease of use very nice results on my finished products. The M2 is a great compliment to my M1 Ultra. I really like the CMYK inkjet printer. It is too bad that the M2 does not have a honeycomb plate or something similar that comes with it.

F2 Ultra was delivered on time and was packed very well. AP2 works so-so, problems running at high altitude (Denver) causes faults every time it's run. Poor design for running at altitude.
I bought an F2 and it works great. The Xtool software is powerful and easy to use. Because of the software I am sure the next machine I will buy will be an Xtool also.
It would be a better experience if the team was able to fix issues directly. Unfortunately we had a misunderstanding on ordering the machines that we needed. Upon discovery, I had to cancel 2 of my orders. The people who are answering the calls have been exceptionally pleasant. However, they have to send emails to the "superior after sales team" which is where the problems are occurring. I tried to the O1 Omni Dual UV with the DT+UV exchange but it was too late because some items had already shipped. That is understandable. So instead of canceling the item immediately so I could purchase the correct machine it was not canceled. Instead I was lead to believe it could be fix. The 2nd machine I found out was the incorrect one because my husband wanted to purchase the xTool F2 Ultra UV 5W UV Laser Engraver not the xTool F2 5W IR & 15W Diode Portable Dual Laser Engraver. I am still waiting for cancelation on that. The problem is dealing with emails instead of a live agent to clarify and finalizing the issue. Yes, I did make 2 purchases by mistake so that is definitely my fault. However the machines were not shipped out yet and the problem should have been resolved in a more timely and a much better way of communication.

This review starts off rocky but gets better.
I bought the productivity F2 Ultra Dual/F2UltraUV bundle a month ago. LONG story short, but the F2 Ultra Dual MOPA completely died within 6 hours of unboxing. I was completely devistated because not only had I experienced logistical issues with the delivery of my the unit, but it was now a giant paper weight.
These 2 problems compounded and I took to social media to: 1) vent my frustrations and, 2) ask if this was a common place issue with others.
Forewarning> I learned VERY quickly that there are several mean spirited members on the xTool F series official Facebook group. However, THIS HAS NO BEARING ON MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE XTOOL CUSTOMER SERVICE TEAM, although I would like to warn others before expressing concerns on the official Facebook page, many "know-it-alls" will attack you if you experience issues and paint you as the bad guy. HOWEVER, the moderators were good about deleting hateful replies and ultimately locking the post from further comments being made.
Now, to my actual experience with tech and customer support- I sent my message through the xTool chat option on a Sunday night, at 11 PM. It was immediately answered due to the fact that they are 12 hours ahead (it was Monday morning - 11 AM there).
I was asked to take several pictures and videos to prove my unit no longer worked, and to prove I went through their troubleshooting process. I was told that the information I provided would then be forwarded to the actual tech support agents for a diagnosis. Given the time I waited to initially receive my machine, I feared this would be a terrible, long, drawn out process.
By this time, it was 2 AM and I was wound up about having just spent $10,000+ on a bundle which only half of it worked. So I made a Facebook post, explaining my issues, displeasure, possible distrust, and asking if this was par for the course.
I went to sleep and by 7 AM (my time) I had an email stating that xTool Technical support deemed the best course of resolution was to replace my unit due to a manufacturers defect.
I was offered that the exchange process could be sped up by submitting a 100% refundable deposit equal to 70% of the total cost of a new machine. Otherwise they would have to wait until my returned unit arrived (North Carolina to California) and THEN they would issue my replacement.
I was afraid that it would take at least a week to ship back, wait another month to get a new one in stock, then another week to ship the new one to me. 4-6 weeks.
I expressed my fears of time frame, and that I didn't feel comfortable depositing 70% of $5,200 just to receive what I should already have, a working machine.
The next day, xTool reached out and explained that due to the extenuating circumstances of the issues I'd experienced, they'd apply on my behalf to have the new machine sent out immediately upon the scanning at UPS of their RMA Return label. This was not a guarantee, and I understood that. I dropped off the return and it was scanned in and on its way across the country.
I supplied the shipping submission receipt of their prepaid shipping label to my on going ticket that evening and called it a day.
The next morning I had an email stating that xTool had approved the immediate shipment of my new machine. By the afternoon, I had another email with a tracking number. Not shipped, but label creation.
xTool reached out by mid-morning to tell me the unit was on the way. Although it still only said "label created". I was then asked if I minded giving a review about the experience I've had.
Well... so far so good, all things aside.
As long as my replacement machine ACTUALLY ships soon and starts to move across the country, instead of just a label sitting and waiting to be placed on a box, this review will remain a 5 star rating. Otherwise I will adjust accordingly.
All in all, xTool is a great company, and they try to accommodate everyone.
Great products, tools and software. I started with an F2 Ultra and some accessories for my small business. After a short month it's looking like I'll be getting a P2S CO2 or P3 CO2 to handle all the acrylic patches I need to make. Thank you!
