I recently purchased the HG2 soft armor panels along with two 8x10 Level IV rifle plates. Here’s my unbiased review after receiving and inspecting everything. First, the positives. Communication from Safe Life Defense was excellent from start to finish. They were responsive, answered my questions, and kept me informed throughout the process. The order shipped in about a week and a half, which was within the expected lead time, and transit took approximately six days. Unfortunately, my disappointment started when the package arrived. The box looked like it had been through a lot during shipping. There was very little protection inside, and the rifle plates were essentially just placed in the box without any padding or secure packaging. While the soft armor panels were unaffected, one of the rifle plates had a small tear in the corner of the fabric covering. It appears to be cosmetic rather than structural, but it’s still frustrating to see on an expensive piece of equipment. I contacted Safe Life Defense, and they immediately offered to exchange the damaged plate. Their customer service was great, and I appreciate that. However, after seeing how the plates were packaged, I decided not to go through the exchange process because I wasn’t confident a replacement would arrive any differently. Again, the damage appears to be cosmetic, so I chose to keep it. Would I recommend Safe Life Defense? Yes and no. For soft armor, absolutely. The HG2 panels are excellent. They’re lightweight, extremely flexible, very thin, and fit perfectly into my existing carrier. I actually preferred using my own carrier because I found the one they offer to be much thicker than I personally like. As for the hard rifle plates, I’m much more hesitant. The products themselves seem well made, but the packaging and shipping left a lot to be desired. Whether the condition of the box was entirely the shipping carrier’s fault is impossible to know, but the plates should have been packaged much more securely to protect them during transit. When you’re spending a significant amount of money on ballistic protection, you expect it to arrive properly protected. My advice to Safe Life Defense would be simple: if you’re going to produce quality products, package them with the same level of care. A little extra protection inside the box would go a long way toward preventing cosmetic damage—or worse—during shipping. Had one of the plates broken through the damaged box or been lost in transit, the outcome could have been much worse. Overall, the products themselves are impressive, and the customer service was outstanding. My only real complaint is the packaging and shipping process. I don’t know if declining the optional shipping protection had anything to do with how the order was packed, but regardless, I was disappointed with how it arrived. As an active police officer, I sincerely hope I never have to rely on this armor in the line of duty. However, I’m grateful to have the added protection, and I trust that if that day ever comes, Safe Life Defense’s products will do exactly what they’re designed to do.

I have never had so many issues with a finance provider. Since the beginning of the year, I have made three transactions using my Fraser Plus account, totalling £220.48. I have also made manual payments towards this balance, and according to my bank statements, I have paid a total of £172. However, these payments do not appear to have been properly reflected on my account. Based on the figures available to me, I should have approximately £48.48 remaining before interest. Even allowing for interest charges, which appear to average around £7 per month, the balance shown on my account still does not make sense. Assuming £7 per month since January, that would amount to roughly £49 in interest. This would suggest an outstanding balance of around £97.48, yet my account currently shows that I owe £141.43. I would appreciate a clear explanation of where the additional £43.95 has come from, as I have not been charged any late fees or other additional charges that would account for the difference. I have already contacted Fraser Plus by email and provided screenshots from my bank statements showing the payments I have made, which do not appear on my account statements. I hope this can be investigated and resolved promptly. Unfortunately, my experience with customer support has also been disappointing. The support channels have not been helpful in resolving this issue, and I have found both the app and the process of obtaining assistance unnecessarily difficult. This is the first time I have felt compelled to leave a review of this nature, but the lack of transparency regarding my balance and the difficulty in obtaining support have left me extremely dissatisfied.
