I'm sharing this quickly as a warning so that IT DOESN'T HAPPEN TO YOU with the agencies "Golden Island Cruises" and "17Tour Agenci".

I booked a 4-day boat trip from Lombok to Komodo with them for two tickets, costing over 500 euros / 10,346,000 IDR.

A few days before, there was a strong earthquake in Flores with dozens of fatalities and official advisories against traveling. I asked about their refund policy given the situation, and they flatly refused, saying the boat would depart anyway.

The weather improved, and I showed up punctually at the port to board on the day of the trip, as they instructed me.

The result? They denied me entry without justification and refused to give me any paperwork. I never canceled my reservation, nor did they provide me with a cancellation notice.

When I contacted them immediately, they confirmed that they had canceled my two spots on their own and resold them to someone else.

A TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!

I really don’t recommend using this tour company, the price is so much higher than booking it directly, I felt I was seriously ripped off as they provided absolutely no service to me whatsoever except a QR code voucher which they never asked to see on arrival. Others in my tour paid 900k IDR less for the exact same package, which is huge.
