I have been with 1st Call for five years they rented my property out from day one and then when I decided to sell it they sold the house at a time when it's difficult to sell houses. I would highly recommend this company!

Richard is a wonderful landlord. If there was any problem he came to fix it almost immediately. He is personable and I did not have any problems with him. I cannot recommend him enough.

I cannot recommend this man enough. The sheer effort, and dedication he puts in for his tenants is second to none. Our sofa broke, and within 2 days he had taken it out for repairs. The property itself that we rented from him was in very good condition, and was a pleasant living experience for our third year. After having bad experiences in the past with other landlords Richard is a breath of fresh air, cannot recommend him enough.

Richard was my landlord in my second year of university. We knew were going to a have a great stay when he took time out of his day to come and meet us at the property and introduce himself. Richard has been onhand to solve the very few issues we have had this year, washing machine and fridge. He accommodated the removal of a desk from my room so I could use my own as well!

I managed to lock myself of the property on two occasions, one at 2am, and he arranged for me to get back into the property.

To sum up Richard has been an outstanding landlord, my brother passed through 2 landlords at uni and Brighton and he said he wished one of them was like Richard.

I have the pleasure of staying with Richard again while I continue my studies and hope to do so again next year!

Richard has been such a relaxed landlord, repairing and/or replacing anything thats been broken without a fuss or charging us. He’s a really friendly guy as well, probably the best landlord we could have found!

Richard is very nice bloke. Any problems he'll sort out straight away. Will never try and pull fast ones with fees and stuff that other landlords may do. He's just an honest down to earth bloke. Cant fault him in any way.

Richard was my landlord for my 2nd year house while I was at university.

The most incredible landlord I think you can you can possibly have. All issues we ever had with the property we're sorted out in a matter of days, including broken appliances, and even people locking themselves out at 2am (where he came and let them in himself).

I cannot sing Richard's praises loud enough, but if I ever need to get a student house again, I hope I can choose him again as my landlord.

Richard is always quick to respond to any issues in the flat, and even attended to undertake maintenance late night or at weekends when required. Very friendly and hospitable, kept the property in good condition, and even left gifts at Christmas!

Genuine and trustworthy landlord. Hands on approach and always helpful when needed. Was a tenant for a year and had no problems what so ever. Moved out due to relocation.

Couldn't ask for a better landlord. The property itself is kept to a very high standard in the best part of Southsea. Richard responded to any message the same day it was sent. He hung a large mirror in 5 mins which would have taken me over an hour and was always there offering help and advise whenever needed. Only moved out as bought a property for myself.

Everything about renting from Richard over my 18 months of tenancy was effortless. The viewing was efficient and the contract and admin was quickly and easily arranged. Any questions or maintenance issues I had at any time was always resolved swiftly and effectively. A fantastic place to live, clean, modern and well furnished and excellently managed.

Richard has been my landlord for the past three years. In this duration I have found him to be a very approachable and fair landlord. Without exception Richard has always responded in a timely manner to resolve any issues within the property without delay and never seemed to look put out by having to come round to fix something. Issues where always fully resolved to a high standard. I will miss him as a landlord!!

I had Richard for a landlord for two years and he has been one of the kindest landlords I have ever met. He has been very attentive, understanding, and responsive to his tenants. He truly cares about his tenants and is very easy to talk to. Richard is also quick to help regarding house problems as he fixes many of the problems himself. I would definitely recommend Richard to other students.

I had very good support from Richard Hemingway and his response for any situation or help was very prompt and fast. As well my screening process for letting his Flat was very fast without any hassles. The initial deposit amount was release within 2 days after me vacating the flat and the same was conveyed to me by Richard. Thanks Richard for the help & Support.
Richard was courteous to lend lot of stuff like Flask, Toaster etc during my stay when I landed in UK for first time.

Had Richard as a landlord for 12 months.

He was a flexible and understanding landlord when it came to arranging the contract and any issues that cropped up during the year. The property I rented was kept at a very good standard, with any major issues fixed within a couple of days. Richard visited only for house maintenance tasks, and when he did would always ensure suitable notice of his visit, so no constant feeling of being checked up on that I've found with agencies. No exorbitant charges from the deposit at the end, which was returned hassle free within a week.

Richard was a great landlord and always looked after his tenants. If I ever had any issues he would sort them out as quickly as possible and could always be reached by phone or email. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone!

I would highly recommend Richard as a landlord. He has been very attentive, and present throughout my whole 2 year tenancy. He is very quick go respond to issues and is a good handy man! Rent and payments have been fair. Overall lovely guy
