1st Choice Properties are a family run business that look after you as if you are part of that family. We have just moved into our second property with them and in particular Kelly was great. She was always available for questions with great communication all the way through the process and often went above and beyond.

I would have no issues in recommending them to anyone who is looking for a new home.

When emailing or calling about a problem with the property the agent/agents are quite rude, when matching there tone things get done.

Danny Lee is the most experienced, systematic, reliable expert in Drainage and Repairs. He surveyed the entire drainage system and correctly located the blockage. A 7 meter long fat burg was identified and he unblocked our pipe and saved the entire household from a potentially super costly and even unaffordable bill. After failure by BG contracted Dyno to identify the issue on 4 separate call outs for the same problem, I am so glad we found the right man for the job!

This estate agent calls itself 1st Choice but it should more accurately be called Last Choice. They were a semi online/rented office type setup and they had different prices for different services. I opted for the initial flat fee for getting clients and showing them around my property. After six months in a sellers market, I'd had one ridiculously low offer from a buy to let company. My impression was that I was being sent a lot of made up names of potential clients, few if any being real people. In the end I had a quite low offer which I accepted to get rid of the property and this began a nightmare of a process trying to get contracts exchanged. I have text evidence that they actually lied to me about the completion date. The estate agent seemed to be working more for the buyer than me even though I was the one paying him. When the contracts were finally exchanged, the estate agent actually handed over the keys before the finances had been cleared. This could have caused major problems if the transfer had failed for some reason and is very unprofessional behaviour and not looking out for my interests. I also discovered that 1stchoice-properties VAT number was registered with HMRC to a wrong address and that their business address was also wrong. The only positive was that they were cheaper than high street estate agents but honestly if I'd gone with a reputable agent I would have probably got a higher selling price. They've now fled the county. Not recommended!
