It was a very straightforward process changing from AGL to 1st Energy. Still waiting for the app to populate with data from our smart meter but the app looks great and we should save $100 per month.

I got a call from 1st energy about…

I got a call from 1st energy about their company, they got my details but I didn't sign up for anything, next thing I got a message welcoming me to the company so I got in contact with them to stop but they said they would call me back, never got back to me, rang my provider to stop them, don't give your details to them,

This company will over charge you and…

This company will over charge you and use estimated bills rather than actual reads. This company also charged me full rate during 2022 Floods, when I had turned power off before evacuation and wasn't able to get home for 4 months. Will never go with this mob. Be careful dealing with this company and make sure you compare your meter to what they are charging x

Silence Was Deafening

Was overcharged $200 and then S100 or so. Complained, and received a letter stating that I was $25 or so in Credit. That was some months ago. I HAVE NOT received any more bills! I record my Meter Reading every couple of days. Today I spoke with Jenny. Apparently the overcharging has been cancelled and the Account is $63.64 in Credit. This is very surprising news. Quentin

Worst Energy Provider I've had the misfortune to deal with.

Absolute incompetence by the consultants and the person who was supposed my online complaint. I am the authorised rep for a tenant in a building and this is regarding a meter upgrade. After numerous emails backwards and forwards between myself and this person who was supposed to be handling the complaints, she then tells me legally, I have no authority to advise her to contact the Managing Agent. The person gave me authority to speak on his behalf as he has poor English skills and it was recorded in their system I'm the authorised rep. If they needed legal proof that was never advised in the first email. Also, previously during COVID, they sent him an exorbitant invoice something like 6 times the average usage and when I complained, their answer was to pay for it anyway. I refused to do that and I lodged a complaint with the Energy Ombudsman and they reissued the invoice with the appropriate amount based on his usage.

Great customer service

Great customer service. Very happy with 1st Energy, have recommended them to family and friends. We had a hassle free transition from one property to another.

Very smooth signup experience

Very smooth signup experience, quick to provide online account with status of transfer. Only issue was the email welcome pack referred to a different plan name ‘zero discount’ than what we had signed up for ‘1st Saver Online’..also did not show the plan reference code which both combined I wouldve used to validate we were on the correct plan as requested. The conditions and charges were however correct.
