I phoned Hearing 2020 this evening to try get an appointment for my 12 year old grandson who was having difficulty hearing, Tim managed to shuffle his appointments around to fit him in within an hour. I by-passed the GP because, 3 generations of my Family have had treatment with Tim over the years and have been really happy with the service, the out come and the price. Tim is extremely knowledgeable, a pleasure to deal with and gives exceptional service. This evening we got a diagnosis in 2 minutes that would have taken months going down the NHS route . Whats not to love. I would be more than happy to recommend Hearing 2020 to anyone.

I can’t recommend 2020 Hearing in Leeds enough. I took my 11-year-old son who couldn’t hear out of one ear and was in pain from pressure against his eardrum. The doctors were no help at all and just told us to use olive oil, refusing to refer him or do anything. Other places wouldn’t help either because of his age.

Tim was amazing. He was so helpful, knowledgeable, and immediately put us both at ease. He even noticed that my son’s second ear was blocked too, when a doctor had said it was clear, which was completely wrong.

It was such a relief to find someone who actually listened, cared, and knew what they were doing. Highly recommend and would recommend to anyone looking for honest, professional, and caring support.

Absolutely fantastic service cleared both my ears and it only took about 5 minutes. Chris is a top guy too. Surprisingly remembered me and my Mum from two years ago. Would highly recommend.

Really good service walked in off street after work and was seen straight away I was seen to within 10 mins I had a lot of blocked hard wax in ear which another ear place could not dislodge Chris managed to remove with no mess or fuss and most of all no pain highly recommend

Superb staff, they were so helpful and made me feel comfortable. I was seen to very quickly too.

The procedure was explained to me prior to extracting the wax. The wax was removed over two visits to the clinic. It really took sometime, following the final procedure, for my ear to overcome the trauma of the wax removal. There was no complimentary post-examination booked by the audiologist - to assess the quality of my hearing or the need for ongoing treatment.

Excellent advice in preparation for my ear wax removal. Easy to book and first class result from friendly clinician. Competitively priced. Free parking too. Would thoroughly recommend!

Came in for the micro suction ear wax removal. It was a great experience - was treated by a lovely guy (who’s name escapes me… sorry!) he was friendly and knowledgable and put me straight at ease. The procedure although loud was pain free and happened really quickly. Would absolutely go there again if I needed to ☺️

I have attended quite a few times for micro suction of the ears. Chris is very transparent in the work he is carrying out which puts you at ease in every step of the way. I feel so relieved when dry skin/wax has been removed.
Olivia’s customer care is excellent, she’s so warm and friendly.
The shop/clinic is organised and clean keeping any viruses to a minimum. Plenty of sanitising products as you walk in and spare mask if you happen to forget yours.

There are many positive reviews of 2020 Hearing in Leeds and I don’t wish to detract from anyone else’s experience. My experience however, was far from a positive one.

Having developed loss of hearing and pain in my right ear, I saw a doctor who ruled out an ear infection and advised that my ear was blocked with a build up of wax. After using drops there was no let up so I decided to look for a specialist to help me. I came across 2020 Hearing, phoned and got my first appointment the same week on 23rd July. Olivia the receptionist was friendly and booked me in.

My first meeting with Chris Scire was positive. He gave me re-assurance that a historic build up of wax could be removed to resolve the problem. He also looked at my left ear and although my hearing was perfect in this ear, advised that there was a similarly large build up of wax to the right. He then used the microsuction technique in both ears to start the treatment. He was hopeful with another weeks of drops in both ears a second visit should likely clear my ears.

Second visit came and went and by the time the third visit came, Chris advised that there was only a little bit of wax to remove and it had released from the ear drum. It was after this visit that I became mildly concerned, as I now couldn’t hear very much at all out of the left ear and there was an increased amount of tinnitus. Chris re-assured me there was probably a small amount of residue on my ear drum and another visit and clean would remove this. All fair and well I thought.

By the time the fourth visit came, I was confident this would be the day. Chris gave my ear a wash and was confident my hearing would return. It didn’t. It was at this point that I took a closer look round the clinic and saw a build-up of dust on a number of surfaces and the skirtings. In addition there were dried tea stains on two of the units. Small points you may consider but I am under the impression that this should be an impeccably clean clinical environment. It wasn’t, that is fact. I was then re-assured that all wax had been removed and my ears were completely clear. Chris told me how happy he was for me they were now clear and what a positive experience it’d been. He then requested that I leave a ‘five-star’ review, to (I quote) “remind people that we’re open for business”. When I came to the clinic I could hear in my left ear. When I left after the fourth visit I couldn’t hear and was suffering tinnitus. To be then asked to leave a five-star review when left with this issue, I found a little insulting.
I then received an e-mail from Olivia, asking me again for a ‘five-star’ review. I e-mailed back highlighting that this was assumptive, with my on-going hearing loss.

I became concerned about the legitimacy of this practice. As my anxiety grew over the coming week or so, I decided to book a visit to a rated ENT specialist at Spire private hospital. I’d become highly anxious that there may have been an inner ear issue or something more serious that hadn’t been investigated. This was compounded in the unequivocal reassurance from Chris Scire that my ears had been completely cleared.

My visit to Spire was with Mr Lindsey Knight, who asked whether my ears had been cleared. I advised him (upon consultation from Mr Scire) that they had. After a much easier process (in a much cleaner setting), Mr Knight quickly re-assured me that there was an abundance of wax in my left ear. This had categorically been missed my Mr Chris Scire. I instantly walked away from Spire with my hearing back (as it has been) with the tinnitus relieved.

2020 Hearing have asked me twice for a review so here it is. I would find it impossible to recommend, but would however not hesitate to recommend Mr Lindsey Knight.

I would like to add that this is not an issue about money. Chris provided the last 2 sessions at no charge. The issue is, I was told my ears were completely clear. An ENT specialist advised that they were not. This is objective fact.

I hope that the multitude of 5-star reviews aren't used to undermine my experience.

Very pleased with the service. I had a blocked ear which I lost 90% of my hearing over night. It was quickly returned to normal.

I had a wax extraction from both ears. Good quick service, the consultation was only 5 mins. Went back the next week after applying drops to soften the wax. My ear was so full with wax it was uncomfortable. The wax was suctioned and I was out of there in no time feeling relieved. I could feel the difference it made straight away.
