Basic functionality works, lacks a lot of finishing and polish
I'll try and make this short - I preferred to have sent my feedback to the creators directly, but they have no contact options whatsoever on their platform (what will we do if there's a bug or error?)
The platform fails to meet the competition, by failing to provide some level of functionality that makes a music streaming app an enjoyable experience.
The algorithm, if it exists at all, certainly does not work; I can play the same song, or artist, dozens of times (I tried it), and yet the auto play feature will consistently present me with a hoard of random song types that have no relation whatsoever to the style I had been listening to, and by artists I have never heard of (are they paying for better exposure?).
Same goes with the home page - forever the same unchanging content that I"m not interested in, forcing me to scroll wayy down just to find whatever song I was listening to beforehand.
Sefardi music is wholly missing from the app - the huge majority of Sefardi music that IS available, is sung by Ashkenazi artists...
EDIT - I removed the part about buggy web app functionality...whatever issues were there before seem to have been fixed, and now the web app works fine.
Regarding the search terms themselves you have to be VERY exact. A song called "V'al Doh" on other platforms, won't show any results here. You have to search exactly for "Dah" rather than "Doh"... and similarly with the general searching experience. This is a basic need I would have of a Kosher/Jewish version of a music streaming app - song names are a basic issue that we face, and yet Youtube Music and Spotify seem to have a better idea of what I'm looking for, whether I'm typing in Hebrew or English, to present me with the right results.
Also the selection is rather limited. Many live versions of songs or performances, or older selections, are simply not available.
In all, yes the app does what it's intended to do, it plays music fine, allows you to shuffle auto play thousands of songs, whether you like them or not, and offer a plethora of preexisting playlists to try out; And most of all, it's kosher, so we don't have to worry about random goyish songs popping up and messing with the atmosphere you might be trying to preserve. However, I wouldn't consider it a contender in the greater scheme of alternatives, unfortunately. I'm so hoping for future improvements because I really do want to give this app 5 stars - it is so needed!
