Working with 3LM has been a transformative experience, both personally and professionally. The 9 day in-person course I attended in February 2020 has had a huge impact on my thinking, and provided the impetus to envision a regenerative farm model here in County Durham.

Since then, Chris and Sheila have helped to guide our project and tailored their training to work with our tenant farming family. We have also undertaken ecological outcome verification and begun to understand our land in a much deeper way.

Chris and Sheila are experienced and empathetic trainers, helping us to navigate, thoughtfully, the theory and practice of holistic management.

We hope to continue our learning and our journey with 3LM, and using holistic management as a guiding principle - and we are genuinely optimistic about being part of a global regenerative revolution in agriculture.

We took part in the holistic management classes parts 1-9. It was a very high quality event. For us it was an eyeopener and we are still changing a lot in our lifes since then. The trainers are truly likeable - we hope a lot of people will get on the holistic management way.

Great course, location and teachers!

I attended 3 modules with 3LM (Fundamentals of HM, Holistic Financial Planning and Holistic Planned Grazing) and I have had a really great experience with them. Very knowledgeable and experienced tutors and great support both on and off line. I would definitely recommend 3LM to others.

3LM has created a course in which there was a good balance between theory and practical work, applying what was learned in the field or on paper, making plans for your own farm or for another farm if you hadn't any. They planned enough time to really be able to touch on all the aspects and also spend enough time on the foundations, on the holistic frame work and the quality of life statement. A well planned course in a really nice location, given by Chris who is very knowledgeable about the subject and knows how to teach it. The right course for every farmer who wants to get on with holistic management, who wants to get more profit out of his work and regenerate his land at the same time. Do the full course and team up with others!

My father and I did the 3LM Holistic Management suite in the later half of 2019. I would recommend the course to any new farmers or those who are looking to change they way they farm into one more in tune with nature. Sheila is a great teacher. I had just moved up to the farm when we took the course and it was a brilliant induction for me and has also helped with succession planning - Dad has a lot of knowledge in his head, HM helped get some of this down onto paper. The HM course does a great job of setting on the right path but - and you'll stuggle to believe this when you head is exploding with all the new ideas - it is only the start. HM provides decision making framework and it is up to each of us to apply that framework to our own context, and to keep on learning.

Sheila and Christopher are excellent facilitators. I have attended a number of 3LM live events and webinars and find their style of delivery to be very engaging and supportive. They are a great resource to have in the growing HM community in the UK & Ireland.

I am very gratefull that I have had the opportunity to learn about Holistic Management by educators /mentors Sheila and Christopher Cooke at 3LM. The HM course in Lismore was exceptional, very inspiring.
Since then my wife and I are on a HM journey, each at their speed, but our holistic context is guiding us.

The Holistic Management Funadamentals course is an exciting and inspiring introduction to the tools of Holistic Management. Well organised and thoughtfully paced and designed it gives you a great foundation to pursue the other parts of the HM framework. These are such powerful tools and yet the course is taught with an easy and accessible approach. Thoroughly recommended.

If you are interested in improving your life; your land and your profit then 3LM courses can help you on this journey. I completed the following online courses with 3LM: Foundation, Holistic Planned Grazing & Holistic Financial Planning. All 3 were extremely well put together and Sheila is an excellent teacher. You will learn a lot and it will get a lot out of these courses

Hello, holistic planning is the missing link in all our lives and I've felt this from a young age, though not had the vocabulary nor confidence to really express it.
As a former chartered landscape architect and environmental consultant, as well as other roles inc farming and farming management, I really felt there was a point of view we were all missing and this lack of insight was ironically causing all the problems we were actually trying to solve!!
I really am so pleased to finally have found this course, 3LM, Sheila Cooke and the Savory institute. It is extremely well presented, very professional yet feeling familial, (small interactive classes).
I fully recommend them and tge training for all walks of life. It gives me the confidence now, the insight, the vocabulary to finally kick on in all that I really believe is so important.

The training was very powerful and was delivered in a way which meant I am able to remember many aspects of the learning a considerable time later.

Simply put, a must do course for everyone if we are to solve our problems as a species

I have taken part in four trainings with 3LM, 2 in person, 2 online. I can honestly say I'd do it all again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend anyone who is interested to go for it, don't hold back. While the information is not simple, the courses are well structured and thought through, with real life case studies, good reflection time, and opportunities for queries and support.

I enjoyed the training in Holistic Management very much. It changed the way i thought about my life and how to live it with enjoyment. The Financial planning course is a must for any business or to-be business owners. It’ll help you to assess all of your ventures and enterprises and ensure you’re focusing on the mist profitable one. It’ll help you to discover which enterprise is most profitable too. The skills learnt in this course are invaluable if you want to make a living from something you love. I’m not a farmer myself, and it helped me to make a quick decisions in our business and which direction to grow it.
I particularly enjoyed the online version. I have done also the physical course. Albeit you can see directly on land the principles talked about, there is a huge amount of new information and perpectives, making it hard to absorb it all in in such a short space if time (a few days). On the other hand, the online course gives you bite size information that is well worked on along with the group, helping you to assimilate it. And it’s spaced over many weeks so you have time to churn on it and if questions pop up in your head, ask at the next online lesson.

It’s worth the investment of money and time, thoroughly recommend Sheila’s courses and approach.

All round this was an incredibly inspiring and informative course. I can only recommend it!

Holistic Land Management is the future whether you are into farming, forestry, equestrianism, species conservation, gardening or simply have a window box. The principles are all the same, and I highly recommend Christopher and Sheila to give a solid foundation in understanding how every one of us can contribute practically in our joint effort to protect the environment.

I took Holistic Management training with 3LM, doing the Fundamentals module in person and the other modules of Finance,Grazing, Ecological Monitoring, and Land Management online. I found 3LM very helpful & patient and the training has helped to change my mindset and my farm for the better. It gave me the freedom I felt was beyond me in conventional thinking/farming. 3LM were also open to bringing in outside Speakers via Zoom to give presentations on HM, Permaculture, and other interesting topics. If you choose to take training from 3LM it will be a serious investment in time, but it's an educational investment that's light to carry and will last a lifetime.
