I would give it a 0 rating if there was one. Waited 4 hours for no one to come, left the vehicle, made an appointment for the next day, here I sit another 2 hours later when I was supposed to have one of the first appointments of the day. The membership fee has been increased, but the service is terrible. Unacceptable! This isn't the first time this has happened either and we rarely use the service so obviously its a pattern. Have been a member since 1985, will look elsewhere, I'm furious!
Called in for a jumpstart/battery…
Called in for a jumpstart/battery replacement. Was told a tech would be out in 4 hours or less. By the 5th hour no one showed up. Called AAA to see what’s going on and after an hour of being on hold and bounced around to numerous different people finally get told that no one will be coming as they were just too busy today. My original call was placed at 8:24am and was told this at 3pm. AAA completely wasted my time and basically are stealing my membership fees if they can not hold up their end of our contract.
Waiting for Nothing
I placed a call around 12:40 p.m. because my car would not start. When no one came by 3:15 p.m. I called back. The driver had canceled the call because he said he did not see the car (It was in the garage.) and could not contact me. I told them I was calling from a landline and not to text me. Evidently he was too tired to get out of his truck and ring the doorbell. I wasted a whole day for nothing. I placed another call at 3:30 p.m. and hoping someone will get here.

We had to have a second AAA battery…
We had to have a second AAA battery installed. The first one would not hold a charge. The Armada tech Stephen ID # 176937 was very thorough in diagnosing the problem and explained everything to us. He was very kind and patient and made sure the new battery stayed fully charged before he departed. Kudos to Stephen. We appreciated it very much.

I called at 730 in the am at -9defrees outside they said they’d be here in 12 minutes. 5 hours later I had to call back and the TICKET WAS NEVER PUT IN!!! So I had to wait another 2 hours! Incompetent and disgusting customer service! There are going to kill aomeone! I will never sign up for them everytime you call its al least a 5 hours later wait!
AAA made stuff up
7 degrees today, car battery dead. Completed battery order for home install and new battery (if needed) and battery testing. Completed this on their web sight. AAA called me afterwards to assure me the road service would test my battery before installing the new one I ordered. I was contacted by the road service AAA gave the order to, Jaes Towing. I was informed by them, they DO NOT have battery install services on weekends and AAA knows, and continue sending weekend battery install work orders to them. They could only offer a jump. Jaes was very apologetic without fault on their part. There are many AAA service companys in my area and they sent this order to the one that does not provide needed service. I called the phone number AAA provided for issues, waited 20m to speak to someone regarding the issue, tried on line, they have no live chat services, gave up. When you are requesting or purchasing from AAA, they are available but afterwards, Good Luck! This is my second not good experience these past years regarding their services.

Rude customer service, unreliable service
My daughter's vehicle broke down while at work last evening, prompting her to call roadside service for a tow. My daughter called numerous times for follow up as the wait time was becoming unreasonable and the staff woman became rude. It came to the point my daughter called a tow service she had used in the past, who agreed to come once the staff woman submitted the requrst..My daughter called again to relay this information, hopeful to be towed soon as it was getting late in the evening and she was im downtown Charleston SC, but the staff woman never put the request in. As a result, my daughter had to leave her vehicle. This example of customer service is unacceptable and deliberate, in my opinion, because my daughter kept following up on a simple task the staff woman apparently couldn't carry out. For an organization built on the foundation of provide reliable roadside assistance within a reasonable amount of time with a paid membership, you failed to meet these expectations. I would not recommend this company to anyone,nor consider purchasing a membership.
Horrible service

I am a AAA plus member and I’ve been trying to get my car towed for 2 days now. I’m very very dissatisfied with my service. I had it towed yesterday and the AAA it was towed to could not do the service. I then tried to get it towed elsewhere and was told only one tow per day. This after having to take off a whole day of work to deal with this. Then I had to go to work this morning so when I got off work I got an uber to my car. The AAA office it was parked at was still open so I contact roadside service to get a tow. I sat in my car in the cold for almost 3 hours waiting for said tow truck just for them to call me to tell me they can’t tow my car from a private property business that is after hours. It is not my fault they couldn’t get a tow in time. I then had to pay for another uber to get home after sitting in the cold for several hours. I was told that I couldn’t get a tow again until Monday morning when the business opened. I work Monday and cannot afford to take off anymore time they will probably fire me. I’ve already missed enough work due to not having a car or being able to afford Ubers everywhere! This is absolutely ridiculous! I am very dissatisfied with my AAA service and have not had any issues until now. The last several days have been a nightmare. I really hope you can make this right!

Roadside assistance is HORRIBLE. I called for a tow over 20 miles and was informed that I had to upgrade to the next level that covers up to 100 miles (and costs another $100). I did but then the tow truck driver requested another $131 that I paid. Now AAA claims that the $100 was for this tow only that covers 7 miles and not 100 miles that I was told on the phone. Talking with both sides of their mouth and get away with it.
Trying to explain your location to a dummy (automated system) is next to impossible. It was better back in the day when you could actually talk to a live person but these days are long gone. Texting them returns auto messages saying something about you being in a safe location. Pretend to care, not! Good bye AAA. It was nice knowing you when you were acting normal. I will cut my membership card in pieces and don’t recommend the so-called AAA auto club to anyone. There are better choices.

If I could give AAA zero stars, I absolutely would. This has been, without question, the most disgraceful, good-for-nothing service I have ever encountered in my life, and I need to warn anyone even thinking about signing up. Proceed at your own risk.
I had AAA for my family for 11 months—never called them once. Not once. But the moment I finally needed them for something incredibly simple—a basic tow—everything fell apart like it was their first day in business.
I called AAA at 10:30 PM trying to get help so I could get home. You would think this is exactly what the service is designed for, right? Wrong. Completely wrong. Instead, I found myself in a nightmare.
I waited over SIX HOURS.
Not 30 minutes.
Not an hour.
Six. Full. Hours.
I had to keep calling them for updates—because they certainly weren’t calling me. Then, magically, at 5 AM, they suddenly decided to call and tell me they finally found someone to pick up my truck. At that point, the sun was about to rise, and I had already wasted an entire night dealing with the most incompetent roadside assistance on planet Earth.
My membership still has two years left, and I’ll tell you this right now: I will never, ever use them again. AAA has lost my business forever, and I wouldn’t trust them to tow a tricycle, let alone a vehicle.
To anyone considering AAA:
Don’t. Just don’t.
Think twice, three times, and then walk away. I genuinely do not know how they stay in business. They are unreliable, unresponsive, and absolutely useless when you need them the most.
AAA is, without exaggeration, the worst service I’ve ever dealt with.

Run! Terrible company, waited over six hours for a tow
I had been a AAA member for 20 years up until yesterday, after having my vehicle break down in a very unsafe area in New Orleans I called AAA and was directed to an automated system, I was never asked where my vehicle needed to be towed, instead the automated system decided to assume I wanted to have my vehicle towed to a Speedy Oil Change a mile away, after being told twenty minutes to an hour I waited an hour and a half for the tow truck, a tow truck from United Towing arrived and loaded the vehicle onto his truck, I then told the driver I needed it towed twenty minutes away to my residence, the tow truck driver said he would not and that he’d only tow it to Speedy Oil Change, he then said to call AAA, upon doing so I was told I was covered for tows up to 100 miles away, the driver then refused angain and refused to speak to AAA, he then unloaded the vehicle and left, I then had to wait over six hours for a second tow truck, I called for a refund of my membership and was declined by a rude supervisor so I cancelled my membership and will never look back

I got my vehicle towed to a shop on Saturday. I paid $300 for new belt/labor. I picked up my car...before I got anywhere literally My car broke down.
I called AAA today and deny pickup because my car is "Still at the shop".

This service is horrible especially if you live in the Griffith Indiana area! The customer service is terrible and the tow companies they are contracted with, especially Alamo Towing is a disgrace. The workers are ignorant and not empathetic to the consumer whatsoever!!! Matter of fact I did not feel safe whatsoever with the person they sent to my home and I felt like I was in danger and AAA did nothing about it. Matter of fact they sent them to my home when I requested service a second time. Although they said they would not send them back.

Well if you live in Clermont, FL DO NOT USE AAA to get towed. My husband waited 3 hours on Highway 50 to be towed. He broke down in front of Costco in turning lane, so he was blocking traffic and AAA marked this URGENT. I am wondering if it was not urgent how long would it take for AAA to come and tow you 10 hours maybe.... Sorry to be sarcastic but this is HORRIBLE!!!!! AAA kept telling him they were coming. I called three times and the last call I was told they dropped the ball and nobody is coming with a tow truck. This is after 3 hours of him waiting. What is the point of having AAA if they do not do anything to help their members. They breached their contract with us by not showing up. I called them and informed them of this they DO NOT CARE!!!!! This is horrible. We have been members for 37 years and I DO NOT THINK WE WILL RENEW!!!! BE FOREWARNED!!!!!!! Well the police showed up and they called their tow truck company and it only took them 20 minutes. This does not give AAA a good name at all. I just want to make sure everyone knows what a horrible job AAA did this morning

Since aaa got rid of own trucks and own employees, the companies they send are worthless. They send a big tow truck. Guy with a jack and don't have a lug.nut wrench that fits the lug nuts.

I’m a AAA plus member and I’m not sure why. I asked if they could tow my car as towing is included on my membership because my car needs to be towed while I am traveling abroad and the first customer service person I spoke with said yeah shouldn’t be a problem at all. Just get us the addresses and we can submit the request so I get all my ducks in a row, pay for the new parking spot and call back and the supervisor just says outright No. Because the car is already in a safe location, they won’t tow it. I said well it’s not gonna be safe in a couple days because it’s gonna get towed if we don’t move it and I am out of the country and have no way to do it on my own. He said that I would need to enlist the help of my own towing services for that and they won’t get involved with that. Don’t waste your money with this BS service.

I’ve been waiting more than 5 hours for a tow truck and AAA still hasn’t arrived. They don’t update anything, they don’t call, and customer service keeps saying “the driver is on the way,” but nobody comes. Completely unreliable service. If you depend on AAA roadside assistance, be prepared to be abandoned. Worst experience ever.
