The local provider in Marrakesh was a scam. They didn´t accept my credit card for not being "embossed" and afterwards they also didn´t accept my other embossed credit card. All tricks to sell a very expensive insurance to be paid for in cash. Avoid this company and CD Car Hire in Marrakesh.

Old car

Rented a car in corfu airport for a week. 600 meters away from the airport (and not 150 as described). Got an (very) old car (60.000 km) not really reliable and not always adapted to climb hills in the island. Had to come back to their office to show some maintenance signals getting on.

Worst kind of weaponized small print

Worst kind of weaponized small print: Payed in advance with my Visa card to rent a car for two weeks. But when picking up the car they ask for a deposit of 500€, which is OK. What's not OK ist that they don't accept any kind of card that says "Debit Card", unlike the rest of the world (and every other car rental I ever used). They apparently make it their business model their customer miss that
to blackmail you into buying a 300€ extra insurance plus 150€ deposit (wtf???). Of course, they have no problem accepting Visa for either of those rip-offs, proving that it's pure scam.

Catastrophic car rental

It is catastrophic. Please don’t rent a car there. Despite a very low services and unpleasant staff, they didn’t have us our car. We rent one for three weeks through a broker. But when we need to withdraw the car they ask to give the deposit with a credit card that is not an Amex. Of course we had only that kind of card as credit card, and they refuse to take it and give us the car. Apparently we are the only one to have this problem everybody has a credit card … but I am quite sceptical as most European countries have by default debit card. So they didn’t give us the car but they took the money. And for the moment we don’t have get it back. They are assuring us all the money is blocked by the brocker but that’s not what the broker is telling. I have a big lack of confidence on this entreprise and what they are saying. I really advice you to put a bit more money on a more decent car rental.

AVOID AVOID SCAMMERS

I regret not checking online reviews before booking with this company. The reservation was paid in full. I have arrived at Kuala Lumpur Airport Terminal 2. When I contacted them they advised I proceed to Terminal 1. Upon arrival I was met by a representative from Paradise Car Rentals who accused Abby Car of providing a false booking and that there was no car available. They attempted to offer me a new reservation at an exorbitant rate of 130 RM per day. This was a highly unsatisfactory experience and I believe they were exploiting a vulnerable situation.

I have contacted Abby Car the person in charge on 0023059038030 and they have agreed to refund the full amount. However, when I contacted him on 08/08/2025 he changed his words. I strongly advise against using this company.

Fraudulent Practices with Abby Car Rental ject

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction and frustration with the service I received from Abby Car Rental, booked through Expedia. I feel compelled to warn other customers about this company’s unethical practices and how they operate.

When I booked my rental through Expedia, the advertised price was reasonable and appeared to be a good deal. However, once I paid upfront and arrived at the rental location, I was informed that Abby Car would not accept the new version of my credit card, claiming that only the old, embossed versions would be accepted. This was never mentioned during the booking process. If this condition had been communicated to me earlier, I could have taken appropriate action, but instead, I was left stranded with no car.

Initially, Abby Car promised that a representative would be waiting for me at the airport with my name on a sign. However, no one showed up. I called multiple times, but my calls went unanswered. Eventually, I was left waiting for 40-50 minutes in the heat, in a car park, with no assistance. When I finally got in touch with someone, they introduced new, arbitrary conditions, stating that my new version of the credit card was not acceptable despite being fully valid and within the required limits for the rental deposit.

I explained that the design of credit cards is determined by the issuing banks, and that my card was fully valid. Despite this, the agents were rude and dismissive, clearly aware that I had no other options, and used my position to force additional payment. In the end, I was coerced into paying an additional £150 in cash to release the car, which seemed to be a scam to extract more money from me.

Unfortunately, I had no choice but to return without the car and without a refund, which ruined my holiday plans and left me with unnecessary financial loss.

Given the company’s behavior and the way they treat customers, I am left with no doubt that Abby Car Rental is running a scam. They mislead customers by advertising low prices, then create unreasonable conditions at the point of collection to either extract more money or refuse service entirely. Their practices are dishonest and deceitful, and I am deeply disappointed that Expedia continues to partner with such a business.

I strongly urge Expedia to review their partnership with Abby Car Rental to prevent others from being subjected to this kind of exploitation.

They gave us false information

They gave us false information, they said that we can drive it to unpaved roads but not offroad. When we returned the car they charged us 500€ because we used unpaved roads.

You also need to Wash the car inside and outside or else they charge you extra 20€.

Horrible horrible horrible!! Kos rip off merchant

On collection I was in the office for 30 minutes looking at all the signs. My son also looked. There was no sign warning of a €200 charge for cars that are returned dirty or sandy but it was displayed on return.

I was no more than 3 minutes late at 21.03 on return and this man was waiting outside. My son and I were removing all items and luggage. This man was clearly impatient. He said whiles emptying the boot, can I start? I said yes, sure.

He then proceeded to say the following. The car has a lot of sand. I cannot accept this car. This needs to be biologically cleaned! €200. I said no way does it cost €200. I said I will clean it. He said no it is too late. The car is also dirty. He went on... THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! I DON'T KNOW IF YOU LIVE IN A STABLE AND THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CAR BUT THIS IS OUR CAR AND YOU HAVE DISRESPECTED OUR PROPERTY.

This troll of a man went on to inspect the car and take pictures so I had a break to sort out my things into bags with my son. Also a brief break from being shouted in very close distance to my face. After 7 minutes or so he proceeded to shout at me whiles walking into the desk, repeating himself over and over again! I will be making a formal complaint about this man. He would NEVER speak to a single man with a child in this way. I feel this behaviour was intolerant to women or perhaps he is racist against foreigners. What a bad agent for this company and ruined the holiday. I will never return to Greece or Kos ever again because of this man.

Really poor!

Used these for a trip to Rhodes. Firstly you have to leave the airport and look for a guy carrying a Abbycar sign. This was not told to us so we had to ask at the airport. For us this was a nightmare as we just couldn't find him amongst the people leaving the airport. When we did eventually find him, I realised that the reason we couldn't is because he was using the sign as a rest for him crossing people off his list rather than holding it in the air. Then ensued a nightmare of nearly 2 hours of waiting, this guy being followed around by loads of people complaining that they didn't have their car/didn't know what was going on/had been wating for hours. The guy just didn't care or have a plan, just seemed to bumble about and hold his hands in the air. Eventually a mini bus turned up and drove us to the abbycar rental place. we then got in another queue of angry customers all trying to get a car for another 45 minutes. So yeah avoid like the plague.

Absolutly idiotic company

Absolutly idiotic company. Nit reachabla, and if you catch one of them its very rude, agressive encounter. Stay clear unless you want to pay for an SUV, get a Fiat Panda amd get threatened and insulted if you ask for a different car. This clearly is a rip off

Absolutely SCAM

Absolutely SCAM! I tried to rent the car but at the airport the car was not available. I booked 2 times, so paid to times but the car wasn't there!!!!

Please stay AWAY from the company. I'm trying to get my money back but I don't know if I can.

I will call the police tomorrow morning to fix the issue.

They said that they will deliver the…

They said that they will deliver the car at 12.00 at Mykonos airport. They didn't. They didn't even pick up the phone to say they were gone. The employee on the phone was very rude claiming that we were lying despite the fact that we had screenshots. They tried to say that we were crazy despite providing direct evidence. Not just bad service but rude to the extent of a scam.

I deeply regret not checking online reviews before booking with this company. The reservation was paid in full, they had my flight number, and I even called the local operator to inform them of the flight delay. I arrived at 8 p.m., expecting a smooth pickup. Instead, there was no car, no staff, and no communication.

Despite being informed, they *unilaterally* canceled my fully paid reservation. Then, shamelessly, they tried to offer me a “new reservation” at an outrageous €50 per day. It felt like an outright scam, preying on late-arriving travelers.

Customer service is abysmal. No calls answered, no emails returned. Avoid at all costs.

The process was very easy

The process was very easy. The site is about 5 mins drive from the airport and the driver is about every 15 mins. It was not clear where to find the Abby Car shuttle bus in Athens Airport on the instructions but everything else was pretty good.

AVOID at all cost! We had no car and no customer service

AVOID at all cost!
I rented a car in Chania (Greece). My plane was late and we arrived at night and they simply left us there (with a kid!) with no car!
I called multiple times as soon as I knew about the delay, and they had my flight number. So SHAME on them. All the other car rentals were waiting for the other passengers!
Plus, I am trying to reach them for a refund (I had to pay for another car, since I had to do 50+km to reach my destination) but they NEVER replied to phone or email.

Worst rental company I've used

The worst rental company I’ve encountered in over 30 years of renting cars! To accept my payment card for the deposit, they forced me to pay an additional €100 for insurance (even though I already had full coverage) and €200 as a deposit. The car (a Skoda Citigo) was in terrible condition—covered in dents, the remote didn’t work, the seatbelt was damaged, the fuel tank was empty (despite the contract stating it would be full), the dashboard lights were unreliable, and the interior was far from clean.
The staff member didn’t even accompany me to inspect the car. When I returned to the airport to point out all these issues, he had already left. I also had to pay the airport exit ticket myself—something I’ve never had to do with other rentals.
When returning the car, not knowing exactly how much fuel I had used, I left the tank half full. The agent then blamed me for a small scratch on the passenger door (which I absolutely did not cause) and charged me €484 for it.
This is completely unacceptable behavior and shows just how unprofessional and dishonest this company is. Avoid it at all costs!

La peggiore compagnia di noleggio in oltre 30 anni che utilizzo il noleggio auto! Per accettare la mia carta di pagamento per la cauzione, hanno chiesto 100€ di assicurazione supplementare (avevo già la copertura assicurativa completa) e 200€ di deposito. L'auto (una skoda citigo) era in pessime condizioni, piena di ammaccature ovunque, telecomando non funzionante, cintura di sicurezza danneggiata, serbatoio vuoto (il contratto prevedeva serbatoio pieno), luci del cruscotto che non sempre si accendevano, interno non proprio pulito. L'addetto non mi ha accompagnata al ritiro auto e quando sono tornata in aeroporto per fargli notare i problemi riscontrati, non era più presente. Ho dovuto anche pagare il ticket di uscita dall'aeroporto (mai successo con noleggi precedenti). Alla riconsegna, non sapendo quanto carburante avrei consumato, il serbatoio era mezzo pieno! L'addetto mi ha contestato un lieve graffio sulla portiera passeggero (non causato da me) e mi ha addebitato 484€. Un comportamento davvero inaccettabile che dimostra la non serietà di questa compagnia di noleggio da cui stare assolutamente alla larga!

Looking to rent a car in Morocco

Looking to rent a car in Morocco? I strongly advise against the unreliable Abbycar company in Marrakech. I rented a car from Abbycar through the CarJEt website for 92 euros, with CarJet insurance, and pickup from their office in the city center. It turned out they don't have an office in the city; they only pick me up by phone at the train station. I waited an hour for them, which is how late the company employee was with the car, which was supposed to be new, clean, scratch-free, and with a full tank of fuel. When the car finally arrived, it was filthy inside and out, as if it had been used for transporting piglets, and scratched in two places, contrary to their promises. Of course, I took my own photos, and when I pointed out the car's condition to the Abbycar employee and asked him to get out of the other car and take notes, he said he could refuse to give me the car and leave if I didn't like it. However, I had sightseeing plans with my family that I couldn't change, and there was no time to look for another car. However, instead of a refundable deposit, AbbyCar charged our Full credit card for additional insurance for 189 euros, without even informing us. The agreement, of course, wasn't in Polish. We only learned about this when we returned the car to another employee from the company, who was supposed to explain it and call us back, but never responded. As a result, the rental cost us over 800 PLN more than the CarJet reservation we paid for. Abbycar is definitely a bad choice! I will never rent a car from them in Morocco again, and I advise you not to either. A very unreliable company.
