ABC Legal Services Reviews 

I hired ABC Legal to serve a citation on a party in New Jersey. According to the process server, the property seemed to be vacant, posted in notes on 4/11&13/26. Order was put on hold and then cancelled on 4/14/26. I got a Return of Service stating the citation was posted on the residence 4/15/26, Return of Service dated 4/22/26. This after the order was cancelled. Obviously, no one seems to know what is going on. I then sent another citation to be served at a different address. Yes, I had to pay again. 1st attempt no answer. 2nd attempt spoke with individual who said they are a resident who did not know her, it is a group home, person to be served is a Nurse who works at the home. No other attempts were made. No affidavit of nonservice were posted. Informed ABC I need three attempts. They sent another process server, who then provided an unsigned Proof of Nonservice, stating the exact words the first process server posted in his notes. They told me if I want the same process server a need a letter from the Judge informing them. Yes, I was going to have to pay again for the same crappy service. I tried to work with customer service, which was a joke, impolite and did not care about helping or resolving my issues. I am done with them.

I hired ABC Legal to serve legal documents at a commercial business address in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The process server reported that service could not be completed because of a “No Trespassing” sign and later described the location as a “hostile environment.”
This was not a private residence, not a gated community, and not a dangerous location. It was a normal commercial office building with a public parking area. When I asked ABC Legal to provide a photograph of the alleged “No Trespassing” sign that prevented service, they refused to provide one. They also refused to issue a refund.
After the first failed attempt, I informed ABC Legal that I wanted to transfer service to the Sheriff’s Office because I had already lost valuable time. I specifically requested a refund and clearly stated that I did not want additional service attempts based on the same reasoning.
Customer support informed me that my refund request was under supervisor review. However, before providing any decision regarding my complaint, ABC Legal proceeded with another service attempt and charged additional fees. Unsurprisingly, the second attempt resulted in the exact same explanation: a “No Trespassing” sign and a so-called “hostile environment.”
At that point, I had already contacted the Sheriff’s Office myself in order to move the case forward. The repeated delays caused significant frustration and unnecessary loss of time.
From my perspective, ABC Legal appeared more focused on documenting additional service attempts than resolving the issue or addressing my refund request. The second attempt added no new information and produced the exact same result as the first.
I paid for professional process service but received delays, inconsistent explanations, refusal to provide supporting evidence, refusal to refund, and no meaningful resolution.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend ABC Legal. Potential customers should carefully review service notes, evidence, and billing practices before hiring this company.

I've had a great experience with ABC Legal. They provide timely Process Serving with on point notifications. I am also able to get notified while at home, which is what I love. Excellent service with excellent timing. I recommended them to all legal professionals. As office manager, we only use ABC legal at our office.

Please be aware of this process service. They misrepresented themselves as the only authorised process server in the United States and claimed to be backed by the U.S. Marshals. Despite these claims, the service are never completed. I strongly advise others to exercise caution and verify credentials before engaging with them.

hair, 5'9", 175, 50, brown eyes claims that she and or anyone on the premises is not authorized to accept at this location. Claims there is no forwarding information as to were legal papers are accepted by the company

I have had an absolute nightmare experience with ABC legal and do not recommend using them at all. This is a terrible company that just puts in canned responses and doesn’t actually address anything. They are slow, and even double charged me on one service and refuse to go back go service to prior address without charging me a third time. Completely non responsive to service request messages and seems like AI or canned responses being sent frequently without ever addressing the issue… so do yourself a favor and find someone locally who can help you and avoid ABC legal

"I recently had a dispute regarding a refund for an order (VP-70592) with ABC Legal Services. Initially, there was a system error that caused a delay in the refund reaching my account.
However, after escalating the matter, I worked with the Accounts Receivable team, specifically Kassie Williamson, who took ownership of the issue and ensured the funds were re-issued via ACH. I also received clear communication from their customer support team, Wendy H. and Erica D., who kept me updated and confirmed the filing of my service documents.
The refund arrived in my account today, June 22, 2026. I am satisfied with the final outcome and appreciate the team's professional efforts to correct the error and resolve the matter completely."

The company tried to serve a party after the date given even though they were provided ample time. They refused to refund the cost, even though service was not made. Will not use in the future again.

We were unsuccessful with 3 attempts, over nearly 4 months, to have these documents served by a Sheriff (outside of our state.) We even had to reschedule the court date twice because of service issues. Once we contacted ABC, the Return of Service document was received within 3 days! The cost for the service was very reasonable, and the process was done quickly online. We can't thank you enough.
