Such a great company. Buying a car from an auction seemed like a real gamble but I am glad I went through with this. Anyone who has an issue with them, my advice, just do your research first. This way... See more

Worst company ever. Money has been sent, but they said didnt received it. Not willing to help me to get money back. No communication at all. So lost all money and car. + got a fine of 1200$ for car relisting.
The kings of bad business practices, preying on the ignorance or inexperience that comes with those often using a broker. They attempt to deceive, manipulate and straight up operate with zero care or repercussions for advertisement fraud, and gaslight at every chance they find. Many facets of their business model revolve around deception, whether it’s their paid advertisement on copart for a “Transaction Fee” of 199, meanwhile being charged 7k in the same “Transaction Fee” with your deposit held ransom, or them charging you non-corporate Copart fee rates despite them paying high-volume rates (which for an expensive auction can amount to a different in thousands of dollars) which they hope you don’t notice. Websites such as Reddit are riddled with clearly fake, AI generated reviews/referrals.
Most miserable week of my life trying to deal with these people. The day where the FTC serves them papers will put a grin on my face.
I recently subscribed to the premium membership with A Better Bid, believing it would allow me to preview vehicles at auction yards at no extra cost. After paying $180 for the premium membership and visiting the yards, I was shocked to learn there is still an entry fee. This fee applies whether you have a membership or not, making the premium membership completely pointless.
I felt misled and taken advantage of, especially since I could have opted for a free membership at Copart and just paid the entry fee. When I requested a refund after just seven days, I was informed the membership is nonrefundable.
A Better Bid's practices feel deceptive and unfair. I urge others to think twice before subscribing.
I have the proof this site operates with intent to defraud. I've caught them manipulating costs from Copart and from checkout to invoice, Cost numbers presented are not equal to invoice numbers, transaction fee on invoice is 299, on checkout 199, and hidden doc fees, shipping is not from quote but a fixed number they update, add on to copart costs based on what copart told me the cost was. I will be reporting to copart corporate office and Florida AG. Never pay these guys with bank or direct debit you will loose your money, use credit card so you have recourse if you still want to buy through them.
You have to read all their requirements. I have bought 2 cars through them now and everything went as smooth as I could have asked. Questions were answered within 10 minutes of emailing. I will use them again in the future.

UPDATE: 3/27/24 After several calls, texts, & emails, confirmation was given for the successful delivery of the Porsche. It should have been a simple process and the original commitment should have been executed. Still awaiting paperwork...will see if is accurate or needs editing. Right now 3 stars with room to improve. I will consider bidding with this broker again. [END] At the time of this posting, the auction went fine for a 2000 Porsche, although their computer systems sent mixed emails on the "BUY IT NOW". This was rectified. They confirmed the BID, they provided a shipping amount to the destination in California and then proceeded to arrange the shipment to my home address in Yellowstone WY. Everything has been documented and committed by them twice, and the transporter. Three days later they call me and tell me it will be delivered to Yellowstone WY, not CA as was agreed. They want more $$. This is currently happening.... I will update as things progress.
This is the only company that requires you to use their shipping and their shipping costs about double what load board spot rates are. You can choose not to use their shipping but then you have to send them a lot of documentation that you will never have access to because you have no legal way to access to them outside the industry. If you're in the industry it can take days to weeks and by then you're paying $30/day for storage. Not only that. A Better Bid can never be party to the contracts and policies they require from your 3rd party shipper. They have zero legal jurisdiction to require them. They will point to their contract with CoPart but you can't read this contract and you're not party to that contract. You are not bound by it. No other broker has these requirements and if they do, their shipping is more in line with actual industry rates.
You get the car in the end. Its just they charge you 3k in fees. I won an auction for $3550 and ended up paying $5997 total. The delivery driver was nice, but I really went over budget. Just get a normal car unless you can really make good profits from flipping the car.
Upsold to a membership to save on their purchase fee for a winning bid. The seller refused my winning bid and re-listed the car for more. I asked abetterbid to contact seller and offer the old "buy now" price as the seller had raised it by $1000. They said they could not do that even though copart the auction house offers this option. I ended up having to use a competing service autobidmaster.com they successfully did what I asked and I got the car i was trying to buy. When I contacted abetterbid to ask for refund of the $200 membership as they failed to do the service i requested (only 3 hrs after I paid) they refused saying memberships were not refundable even though they failed to do the service.
(This site is a big time scammer) I had won a car and after I got my invoice it says *This vehicle is ineligible to be registered in State of Arizona. If a State of Arizona resident purchases this vehicle the title will be stamped with “Export Only”.* and I live in state of AZ .. so now they are telling me I have to pay 20% of total win bid. Now they want me to pay them fees of 4,780.00 . 10% for Copart + 10% for Abetterbid 20% total I can't afford paying that for some message I never saw when bidding.. I had thought by buying in my state would be cheaper to deliver.. so guys be careful of buying through Abetterbid .. unfortunately I have read Member terms and conditions and states following (In the event a Member fails to pay for any invoice and the debt becomes uncollectible, you agree and acknowledge that we have authority to and so may apply the Security Deposit to the debt without recourse to you.) my deposit is $3,040 dollars
That just got flushed down the toilet .. ***injustice*** now my question would be "would it be settled by taking my deposit or ABB decides come after the remainder?" to satisfy re-in listing fee $4,780.00
We just bought a new camper with this company. I have 3 stars for right now because everything has gone smoothly so far. We are picking it up next week and from there I will update my experience accordingly.
Really good company. Good service. Definitely buy again.
This is the best online service! They charge reasonable fees, everything is transparent, and you know exactly what you are paying for. Fantastic customer support as well. I had tons of questions and they answered them all without hesitation.
I had to mark a star ! They stole 2400 dollars from me by awarding me a bid on a 71 f100 that they never had ! I got my 1800 $ deposit back thanks to PayPal but the wire transfer I sent from my bank the 2395 $ was never returned to me after finding out there was no truck at the Montana lot and copart had no suggestions on what to do ! Copart did nit care that a broker of there’s was selling vehicles they did not have ! Better business bureau never heard back from either of them and I’m still out 2395$ ! There positive reviews are fake !!! There crooks a scam it’s why there site looks just like coparts site and a better bid sounds like part of the coparts sales pitch !
The Hidden fees are a tad bonkers, but the amount of paperwork they prepared makes up for it all, and I was able to request a refund on my deposit. Would recommend to use again. The paperwork was almost all ready to be refiled almost instantly.
Worst online car dealer to ever work with!
They will take all of your money and you will get worst customer service and client support ever!
They will never work with you and will never advocate in your behalf.
They place photoshopped pictures on their website so you think you're buying good car in a good shape.
Instead they sell you junk cars.
This company is going to go bankrupt after i file a ckass action lawsuit on behalf of countless other customers as well as myself.Mark my words Im going to shut you down "abetterbid" and i clearly can not trust "trustpilot" anymore because their is no way in hell that abetterbid rates as high as this site claims.
Some of the most responsive and helpful customer service I've seen. They make the process very easy
User-friendly website that works well even through the phone. I enjoyed my time working with them very much. Nice online car auction platform.
