Ableworld are the largest mobility retailer in the country and believe this is because we genuinely care about our customer’s well-being. We employ professional, caring and knowledgeable staff to work in our stores, and provide quality mobility aids at value for money prices.
We pride ourselves on being an ethical trader who will not pressure sell items and if we feel a product should have an assessment we will not sell these online, as we want to ensure our customers that they are getting the right product for their needs, not just the most expensive mobility aid.
Our stores stock all types of mobility aids, including Mobility Scooters, Walkers, Powerchairs, Bathing Aids and Stairlifts. You can be assured that in all of our stores we provide the same caring approach to looking after our customers, and the same range of quality mobility aids.

Abdul was very helpful and explained everything to both myself and husband. I never actually went in to buy today but after talking to Abdul decided to buy a mobility scooter there and then. He was very patient. Topped it up with a stool for the shower. I find all staff here very helpful having previously bought a riding recliner chair from the same store.

Mr Lovelock.
I bought a mobility scooter from Dan at the Thatcham Ableworld today 4-3-2025. He was excellent in all area’s and very knowledgable. A very pleasant person to talk to, I asked lots of questions and he gave me full and truthful answers. Well done Dan and Ableworld

From my first phone contact the staff were extremely helpful.
When I arrived at the store Dan had the Quickie Q50 R ready for me to try out. He explained how to use the control stick and gave me the opportunity to use both inside and outside.
He answered all our questions and made the whole process purchasing using the finance option very clear. He printed out the cost and what we would pay back with the interest rate. Everything was clear.
Thank you so much Dan for all your help today and helping me to be independent again.

I attended the Thatcham, Berkshire branch today with a 94 year old who has dementia and Trevor, who served us, could not have been more helpful or friendly. He was so kind to my elderly companion.

Used Ableworld for mobility scooters services for last 2 years and stairlift installation this year. All work carried out professionally and courteously, at times going the "extra mile" to give great service. Many thanks to Dan (Thatcham), Martin (Scooter Services) and Indy (Stairlift Installation). And of course the ladies in the office!! :}

Having spent over £3000 over 5 years I was appalled by the attitude of the service Manager at Head office and staff at Thatcham branch in a recent incident where my powered wheelchair failed whilst on holiday. The chair had recently been serviced at Thatcham and I returned it there for the repair which I understood was under warranty. However after three weeks I received a phone call from the service manager who accused me of damaging a cable and he wanted £300 to carry out the repair. I requested the local engineer to demonstrate how it was possible for me to damage this cable. No satisfactory answer was forthcoming. I requested photos of the damage which I eventually received. I collected the chair for repairs elsewhere. On dismantling the chair to access the cable I noted that several screws nuts bolts and washers were missing. I requested these were returned immediately and was informed by the branch manager that Ableworld refused to serve me and I was banned
