Do not bank with this bank

Do not bank with this bank. Do not open a famous footwear credit card. They routinely mailed statements so there was no chance a payment could be made on time. Charging multiple late fees. Even after I paid the balance and closed my account I continued to receive payment collection notices. When I called they said it takes 7-10 business days to process, in the meantime it seems like they added new charges even though I've not purchased anything new and my account is closed. More fees??!!

Just stay away.

This is the worst bank card I’ve ever…this cannot be a real bank!

This is the worst bank card I’ve ever dealt with! Even making a payment is a hassle, they’ve messed up my checking account twice by charging an amount different than what I paid. When i made a payment of 65.00 they took a full payment of 2,500 out my account! Glad my bank notified me and sent it back unpaid, after starting to mail payments to them they waited until it was past due then put it through for payment, this last one I sent a 100.00 check and someone changed it to 7,000 which I don’t owe!! At this rate I’m not paying anything take me to court!

Commenity bank are thieves

Do not do business with this bank. They are definitely thieves.I actually closed every account I had with them.
I had a credit card with Wayfair and then community Bank took over. I have never ever missed a payment or sent it late and at the time of the change to Commenity I owed just over $300. I have not made any purchases when the change was made to community Bank and now I apparently owe over $900. I did contact them to find out what was going on and one of the operators told me that due to covid they did not have this there they needed and their mailroom was way behind and processing payments.
When all the problems happened with the post office that was causing severe delays I believe Commenity bank took full advantage of this to collect late fees. I usually pay all of my bills on the same exact date and the only one that I got charged a late fee was commenity bank and that went on for several months. I have zero control over the issues that were going on with the post office. Everybody in the world knew of the problems with the post office and the extreme delays. It is extremely upsetting that I actually overpaid these thieves and now I have a court date that they want to assume a for almost $900. Luckily I saved every receipt and documented everything. I was harassed by telephone for months on end. I am not sure but I did hear that Commenity bank changed their name which I will look into further because I do not want to be associated with them at all.

I had fraudulent charges

I had fraudulent charges. They did absolutely nothing to assist- not even putting a freeze on my account UNTIL I COULD FIGURE IT OUT. I spent a lot of time and money on this which should have been handled by them. Don’t waste your time on this bank..

Wow, Just Wow

These guys bought servicing for Dell Financial, whom I was making automatic payments every month on the exact same day/time through my bank auto-pay. Comenty sent me a bill, and when I went to change the auto-pay to the new servicer the bill didn't have the full account number visible so was unable to set it up, tried getting on their website to set things up there hit some "we're sorry we're having technical issues" so I set things down to pick up later - when I have time. I never have "time"!! Shoot.
Flash forward to November 1st my autopayment went to Dell. OOPS!
The payment was due 11/1 and TODAY I get a call from Comenty COLLECTIONS department threatening legal action. What a freekin joke.
As soon as the payment gets reconciled I will be closing this account out. I have absolutely no intention of doing business with a company this shady!

Be very cautious when doing business…

Be very cautious when doing business with MIDAS. I had multiple issues with my vehicle’s engine and went through a few different repairs covered by warranty and some not covered. I applied for a Midas credit card through Comenity bank and assumed it was a normal credit card. Little did I know there was a “promotional” period, and when it expired I was charged the full APR on the current balance at the end of each pay period, incurring exorbitant fees which were not disclosed to me via notifications and only appeared on credit statements. I only found out because my credit score went down, despite not missing a payment for several months, then finding out that these charges were billed to my balance and that was the cause of my credit balance decreasing. I closed my account on 10/26/2023 and paid the full balance due, but they left a balance of $1 on the account and then have charged me $25.52 for the new billing cycle after assuring me the account had been closed. Be very careful doing business with MIDAS as their partner COMENITY bank engages in these predatory, shady, and harmful practices and please let your loved ones know to READ the fine print so they do not meet the same fate I have suffered. This review would be zero stars if possible.

Comenity Bank ruins your Credit, Modern Day Scamming

Comenity Bank is responsible for incorrectly reporting late payments on my cards. I have had one account open for 8 years, and another for 3-4, they offer no resolution or dispute assistance claiming you can only mail them directly! A very convenient way to get rid of any documentation, since they claim they have no email.

When I have mentioned that I have no history of late payments, and two credit bureaus have accurately reported a history of no late payments and one has not, they said it was older than 12 months ago, so it cannot be checked and agreed I have no history of late payments on their end but would not send me documentation to confirm the above for a dispute with the credit reporting agency.

This is the address they said to mail, which has changed with each phone call. Their customer service has a habit of blaming the consumer and acting like the consumer has no idea what credit is, or how it is managed; or simply providing wrong information and hanging up.

Comenity Box P.O. 182782 or 182789, Columbus Ohio 43218 - 2782 — Credit Bureau Billing Dispute

Do yourself a favor, and go with a traditional credit card and banking institution. This company uses a combination of bureaucracy, inefficacy and plain scamming to keep you indebted or involved with them, wasting time, money and opportunity. Unethical would be a compliment to them.

I haven't been late at all

I have not been late or have had a payment come back. So, they too a $700 credit limit and lowered it to $100. Gee, I get get one earing for a hundred dollars. They did this to all of my Comenity accounts. But, they are not the only ones that do that. Synchrony Bank does that too. Again, they lower the limited then close it.

I will NEVER do business with this…

I will NEVER do business with this credit card company, Comenity Bank again! You get credit with them and all they do is CLOSE your credit cards if you don’t use them within a month! What a joke! It’s unbelievable and should be illegal for them to do this! All this does is damage your credit due to closing your credit cards! Good riddance!

Financial Losses and Collaboration Concerns: My Struggles with Stripe and Comenity Bank

I would like to share my unfortunate experience with Stripe, which has resulted in substantial financial losses exceeding $22,000. This ordeal has had a profound impact on both my personal life and the viability of my small business. It is my belief that this situation has arisen through a questionable collaboration with Comenity Bank. I am writing this review not only to document my own grievances but also to extend a call to action to others who may find themselves in a similar predicament.

My interaction with Stripe has regrettably proven to be detrimental, as I have incurred significant financial hardships. The losses I have suffered have far-reaching consequences, both personally and in terms of my business's financial stability. This experience has underscored the need for transparency and accountability in financial transactions, particularly when they involve partnerships with financial institutions such as Comenity Bank.

I am of the firm conviction that I am not alone in facing these challenges. To this end, I invite individuals who have encountered similar issues with Stripe and Comenity Bank to reach out to me. By collectively sharing our experiences and grievances, we can initiate a concerted effort to address these concerns and seek appropriate redress. It is essential to recognize that the more voices that come together to report instances of abuse, the stronger our collective position becomes in advocating for fairness and accountability.

In conclusion, my intention in sharing this review is to shed light on the challenges I have faced with Stripe and Comenity Bank, as well as to serve as a catalyst for collective action. I believe that by uniting in our efforts to bring these issues to light, we can effect positive change and hold accountable those responsible for any unjust practices. Your support and collaboration in this endeavor would be greatly appreciated.

Never opened an account associated with…

Never opened an account associated with Comenity Bank. Horrible company. They sabotage customers if you do not spend money on the credit cards. I had a zero balance on my Venus, without notice they closed the account. At say something as a courtesy to your customers.

I has three accounts with them

I had three accounts with them. Never missed a payment or even a late payment. Paid my accounts off every month. They first lowered my Ulta limit to $10. I closed the account since $10 wouldn't make a different in my ratio amount. Then they raised my Sephora limit and then closed my account. I had an old account with Torrid, they closed that. No explanation. Just as well since now I see they are crooks anyway. Horrible business. I hope they are going out of business.

Don't Care About Cardholders!

I've never submitted a dispute previously but did recently in the amount of $81. A retailer at an airport charged me $116 for a $35 shirt - I still have the shirt with the tag still on it. Submitted to my Comenity card customer service & nearly a month later they sent me a letter requesting more information, basic info like account number, address, etc. To ensure the letter was not a fraud, I called customer service & the person said that I need the receipt to be refunded which the store gave me a receipt off the counter, not my receipt so it would not show the last digits of my card on the receipt. He said they could not refund my card the difference! I had him cancel the card & they were willing to lose a long standing, always pay on time customer! Maybe they don't care about losing me because they never get interest out of me! Then I went on their site to provide the additional information they requested, just in case the guy on the phone did not know what he was talking about & after spending 15 min, adding in all the info, photos, etc., I received an email response stating that my message could not be sent due to a glitch in the system! Appears to me they were not going to credit the $81 no matter what I gave them! If they're that shady, just think what they're doing with our personal information. The bad guys continue to win, so frustrating!

Trash company and common day thieves

Trash company and common day thieves. Customer service was not any help whatsoever ever. Could hardly understand them. They sneak in so many hidden fees and insanely high interest, you are legit better off applying for a normal credit card with capital one and using it for dental work. I will always urge people to stay away from a nasty company that is only out to gouge their customers. It's quite sickening honestly.
