So far there has been no update on my purchase of the nunber plate being registered other than confimation of the day I bought it. Fingers crossed Ill be updated soon.

I purchased a registration plate on 3 June 2026 and uploaded the V5C so the transfer could be processed. I was initially told the transfer would take 10 working days, but I received no updates.

After contacting them by email and phone, I was informed that the transfer would take 21 working days because the plate was in use and had to be transferred manually. They also stated:

"We can confirm the order has been processed, and we are currently waiting for the certificate to arrive from the DVLA."

Once the 21 working days had passed and I still had not received any update, I contacted them again. They replied:

"We have requested an update from the DVLA and are currently waiting for a response."

On 13 July, I received an email saying:

"We've been trying to get in touch with you regarding your recent order. To ensure everything is processed smoothly and without delay, please contact us at your earliest convenience."

I called them the same day and was told that the previous owner had sold the vehicle without first removing the registration plate. As a result, they were unable to retain the plate using the existing certificate.

I found this difficult to believe. If someone owns a personalised registration plate, I would expect them to ensure it had been retained before selling their vehicle. I also find it surprising that a large company would not verify this with the seller before proceeding. It took nearly a month for them to identify this issue.

Additionally, the email I received simply asked me to contact them to avoid delays, rather than clearly explaining that there was a problem with the transfer. Better communication would have been appreciated.

I was told that I would receive a refund, but no timeframe was provided for when the refund would be processed.

It was so easy to find what I was looking for by way of a cherished number plate. The website took you through everything in a very systematic way, straight through to registering the nominated person and payment. Great service.

All went well start to finish and completed within the 10 days.
