Thank you for your review, SN, and for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. I’m sorry that your experience hasn’t matched what you were hoping for, particularly around timings, communication and some of the finishing details.

At your design appointment we explained that our guaranteed pre-Christmas fitting cut-off had already passed, so from that point we could only provide an estimated timescale rather than promise installation before Christmas. Your shutters were booked into the next available fitting slot once they arrived from the factory, which fell between Christmas and New Year, but I fully understand how disappointing this was when you had hoped to have them installed for Christmas itself.

Regarding the installation time, your order confirmation shows a scheduled slot between 8–9am, and as you were unable to take the earlier 7.30am appointment your job was placed second on the fitter’s route, which is why they arrived during that time window. I’m sorry for any frustration caused while you were trying to reach us first thing in the morning; our office opens at 8.30am, and we’ll review how clearly we communicate this so customers know when they can contact us on the day of fitting.

I’m pleased to hear you felt the shutter fitting itself was good and neat, but I’m sorry that the colour and the screw hole covers were not as you expected. The shutters were produced in the colour selected at survey, though we do appreciate that lighting and décor can make a finish appear slightly different once installed, and the small round caps you mention are the standard manufacturer-supplied covers used to conceal the fixing points.
​
On the rubbish left behind, our booking confirmation and terms explain that our installers remove recyclable packaging, while non-recyclable waste is left for the customer to dispose of. That said, this should have been made clearer to you on the day, and I’ll be reminding our fitting teams to explain this before they leave each property so no one is left unsure about what will and won’t be taken away.

We do take your comments seriously and will be using them to improve how we set expectations and communicate around timelines, appointment windows, finishing details and waste removal.
