This site pretends to be a Canadian…

This site pretends to be a Canadian based company. It is not, it’s based in China. I bought a what as supposedly an OE adapter for an HP POE switch. Shipping notice was pretty prompt and it took about 10 days to arrive.

The adapter was dead on arrival. Measured zero volts output with a voltmeter. The company did a really good job at copying the cosmetics of the adapter. They’re virtually identical with he only difference being the fake replacement had a sticker for the serial number when the original is printed on the label.
Comparing the two I noticed that the dead fake seemed to have something loose rattling around inside so I took it apart. The inside is a sloppily wired mess of suspect electronics. The module wasn’t secured inside the housing and the output wires had become detached from the module. That explains the lack of output. I ended up cutting the cord from the fake unit and soldering it to the original module. Probably for the best to avoid a fire.

So avoid this site. It pretends to be Canadian and ships shoddy goods. I didn’t even try to get my money back.

Sucks that I got scammed but I made the best of it
