Great Course and Exceptional Instructor.
The structure of the course was excellent. The right amount of theory and lots of practical activities. This was easily the best trade related course I've taken. Matt was an exceptional instructor. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient. He made the 2 day course fun and enjoyable. Dulux are lucky to have him.

I have now been to the academy a couple of times as their courses are brilliant. Full of info and tips. All my questions answered. Some advice as to where to take my new skills for the future too. Awesome. The Academy staff are all amazing and so skilled. I know I am being trained by some of the best for sure. :)

Excellent practical painting and decorating training
It was my first time attending a practical Painting and Decorating training and I thoroughly enjoyed and learner how to paint.
Matt is an excellent and patient teacher who made sure that I had an understanding of what to do. He explained things very well.

Well taught by a knowledgeable tutor , who gave good theoretical advice and lets us work practically. Good hints and tips such as "Always use a sharp knife" how to hold the wet paper etc

Dulux Academy Review
I gained more confidence coming out of the course than when I first walked into them. The courses I attended (apart from the wide width) I hadn’t done since my time as an apprentice at college, so it was refreshing to get back into it and jog a few memories.
I was made to feel extremely welcome by the academy team from day 1, by Vickie, Tony and Matt. The facilities are second to none, kept extremely tidy and the course content is great for both beginners and experienced decorators.
Tony and Matt made the whole experience class! Both top top tradesmen in our decorating world. I cannot speak highly enough of them, and I feel like even though I only had 3 days with them, I could call on them for advise at any time which is a massive plus for me!

Useful one day spray painting course
I went on the one day spray painting course and it was good, the only thing I would've like to have done more was to practice. It was informative, useful and had a good pace but I'd have liked say half an hour rather than just taking turns in trying out the machines.

Never taught how to paint ceiling which…
Never taught how to paint ceiling which I needed to know. Painting walls watching dulux videos on the correct procedures was never taught. Starting 3/4 the way up the wall and covering with so much paint, was never explained.

The nature of this course is to cover the basics and as a result we don’t include ceilings in this day. If there was something that you especially wanted to learn on the day this would have needed to be raised with the trainer.
We’ll learn from your experience and ensure that the team check in with attendees on any specifics they want to be covered explaining if they can or can’t be covered on this course.

UPVC STAGE 3 SPRAYING COURSE
Thoroughly professional instruction from start to finish in an excellent facility. The vibe of the whole 2 days was so positive it made the experience a pleasure. Learning in small groups with a knowledgeable instructor (James) will always give a successful outcome. 5 stars all the way!!
