Awful company. Quick to take your money. Keen to keep on taking your money. Excellent at overcharging you. Rubbish at giving your money back or even acknowledging emails. Awful, awful, awfu... See more

It's nice to have access to a range of short 'explainer' type videos and I enjoy the longer more 'in depth' ones to get into topics I'm interested in. I've enjoyed the James Holland series on the Ital... See more

Overall I enjoy History Hit. Two requests: stop interrupting women guest historians and listen more as you do with male guest historians; level the audio - I couldn't watch the Lucy Worsley episode... See more

I have been ignored by the support…

I have been ignored by the support email for over a week, I have bought a gift subscription but haven't received any order confirmation or the gift form to fill, I have emailed you multiple times and received nothing.

Don't buy anything from this company.

Great

Very informative. There is so much about the history of the nobility in Europe. Fascinating.

The show is excellent

The show is excellent. I love Matthew Lewis and his series on the Peasants Revolt. It is and outstanding documentary. Matthew is easy to listen to. Thank you. More Matthew Lewis.

No heads up.

They don't give you a heads up before the trial is over. They just charge you. Their customer service is terrible.

History Hit is a fraud.

History Hit is a fraud.
They are never upfront with customers.
Their payment system is a muddle and not clear and I had £7.99 withdrawn out of my bank account which was news to me and a great surprise as I never renewed my account yet they are refusing to issue a refund.
Avoid at all costs

The content was very good

The content was very good. Would have loved other areas of history. The most problem I had was with the billing and not being able to get it settled. The bank was not willing to get billed from out of the country even though I said it was ok to pay them.

Impossible to resolve problems

Impossible to resolve problems. I am unable to access my account, reset password does not result in an email to do so. Nobody responds to my emails requesting help despite being told somebody will be in touch. All I want to do is be able to access my account so I can get the code to add podcasts to my player. Not difficult. They manage to email me all the wonderful things they are doing so it is not that my email isn't known to them.

Will not let you unsubscribe - avoid

I can log into access.historyhit.com but not historyhit.com. When trying to cancel my subscription on access.historyhit.com I keep getting an error message saying it cannot cancel my subscription. I have emailed support and they are saying that they cannot see my email registered with an account, but they can quite easily take £7.99 a month out of my account no problem. I have explained my situation again and have had no response.

I have had to result to contacting my bank to put a block on the recurring payment. I would avoid subscribing at all costs. I have never known a subscription service that does not let you cancel.
