Buyer beware
We paid over €7,000 in full on 19th September 2025 for blackout blinds and an awning.
The blackout blinds were installed without issue. Unfortunately, what followed with the awning installation was one of the most frustrating customer experiences we have ever had.
As of 19th May 2026 — eight months later — we were still chasing completion of a job that had already been paid for in full.
To be fair, awning installations are weather dependent and there were genuine periods of poor weather. I gave plenty of flexibility there. That was never the issue.
The issue was communication, repeated missed commitments, and what can only be described as complete disorganisation.
3rd April: agreed installation date. Nobody showed up and no update was provided. The team eventually arrived later that day, but it was only a partial installation.
22nd April: emailed asking when the installation would be completed. No response.
24th April: followed up again. No response.
28th April: finally received an email saying the awning would be completed on 30th April.
30th April: the team arrived. We thought we were finally getting somewhere. About an hour into the install they informed my partner they were missing a part and would return the next day.
They then left a €3,500 awning lying unsecured on our lawn and drove away.
The next day? Nobody arrived.
No call. No update.
I emailed. No response.
I rang and was told someone was "on the way". Nobody came.
The awning remained sitting outside exposed to the elements while I repeatedly chased for updates.
Only after further escalation did I finally receive an apology acknowledging that the situation was unacceptable.
Eventually the awning was mounted and wired up.
Finally done, right?
No.
The remote control — required to actually use the awning — had not been supplied.
14th May: emailed asking where the remote was. No response.
15th May: followed up again. No response.
18th May: another email. Finally received a response saying somebody would attend on 19th May at 12pm.
19th May: nobody arrived.
More chasing.
More messages.
More waiting.
At the time of writing this review, we still could not actually use the awning because the remote control had still not been supplied.
The most frustrating part of this entire experience was not the delays. Weather happens. Staff illness happens. Things go wrong.
The issue was the complete lack of communication, repeated no-shows, missed commitments and the amount of chasing required just to get basic updates.
At times it genuinely felt like we were project managing the installation ourselves.
I cannot even properly comment on the awning itself because despite paying in full and months of delays, we still cannot use it.
If you value your time, patience, or sanity, I would think very carefully before using this company for awning installation.
very happy with the blinds though :D
