Thieves

Thieves they were, and thieves they remain in 2025!
I’m absolutely furious about the scam I experienced with ACTIC. I told the lady who handled my membership in advance that I wanted a one-month membership only, and that I wanted to cancel it immediately to avoid any misunderstandings or unwanted future charges. Of course, they didn’t respect that. Instead, they charged me for the most expensive membership (access to all three gyms), even though I never agreed to that. The charges kept coming month after month, taking outrageous amounts of money.
The worst business practice ever. Avoid them at all costs, and I’m going to sue them. This happend in Halmstad.

It was fun but actic needs to add more there is nothing to do just 2 pools 1 small pool 1 big pool need to add more there is no ball to play whit.

they just want money

I told the receptionist that I'm not living here im on a vacation. so I pay 996 kr for one and half month, she told that I should pay in the mid of January if I want to continue in February, I asked why I cannot pay at the beginning of feb if I want to start in feb and what she said we won't accept your membership then, I didn't pay on jan. because I will leave In feb the surprise is that they send me that I should pay for feb!! and I will go bankruptcy If I didn't pay, is this a joke/!?! what I was clear you just need money, this is unacceptable treat, so bad and disrespectful.

The customer service is so so bad

The email customer service is so so bad. They barely ever reply to email, when they reply, they take weeks to get back to you, to tell you basically nothing. To get someone on the phone is equally hard. Poor customer service, poor gym. I do not recommend these horrible people

Truly horrible customer service

Truly horrible customer service. A true Kafkaesque experience. For reasons I still do not understand, they were not able to withdraw payment from my bank account, and so I asked for an invoice, repeatedly, but they never sent me one. Now I owe Intrum 1.000 SEK in fees for not paying an invoice, they failed to send me?! Customer service did nothing to help, never took accountability, in fact they just passed the case on to Kronofogden. I have never felt so robbed. Safe to say, I am no longer a member.

Not satisfied

While the friendly staff seems to vacuum quite frequently, the corners never get properly cleaned, and cobwebs gather on the upper sides. When something needs to be replaced or is broken it can take several weeks to be fixed, no matter it is a training machine, sauna hourglass ,... or very essential facilities like showers. During the last 2-3 weeks 5 of 7 showers has been out of function!

Unfair Charges and Misconduct by ACTIC Gym

I had a terrible experience with ACTIC Gym in Stockholm, and I feel the need to share it with others. I signed up for a membership at their Hagsätra unit located at Ormkärrsvägen 78, 124 59 Bandhagen, but the gym was closed without any notification regarding its reopening from the end of May 2023. Despite the closure, ACTIC continued to charge me monthly fees up until now.

I tried to contact ACTIC multiple times via email, but it was difficult to reach them by phone. They assured me that my monthly payment would be frozen on numerous occasions, but this was never implemented. I also requested the cancellation of my membership as I intended to join another gym outside of the ACTIC network, but they did not honor my request.

As a result, I had to pay for May, June, July, and August for a service I could not use and could not cancel my subscription. ACTIC's conduct has raised concerns about its integrity as a company, and it appears that its membership plans may be deceptive. Despite the reopening of the Hagsätra gym, I have lost trust in ACTIC due to the mishandling of my situation and the financial impact it has caused.

I kindly requested immediate cancellation of my membership with ACTIC and reimbursement for the monthly payments made for a minimum of three months (June, July, and August), totaling 987 SEK. Unfortunately, they did not respond to my request.

I regret signing up with ACTIC Gym and would not recommend them to anyone. Their customer service is terrible, and they do not honor their commitments. Stay away from this gym if you want to avoid similar issues.

Very poor customer service with an…

Very poor customer service with an acting CEO that ignores customer complaints!

I've been an Actic member now since December 2020 and my local gym has been good to use which I go to daily.

I decided to upgrade my membership upon renewal to a Regional Membership and use the 3 gyms available in my local city only to find that one of the 3 gyms I could now use employs the most ignorant and rudest staff I've ever encountered in a gym, not just in Sweden but worldwide.

I was thrown out of the Actic Simhallsbadet City gym in Halmstad last month because I was using the battle ropes there for 'too long' and that by using the battle ropes I was 'disturbing other users' which was utter nonsense and a blatant lie!

To make matters worse one of the staff at Actic Simhallsbadet City gym in Halmstad even continued to verbally abuse me to leave the gym after I told him he was being rude and that I would complain, by shouting at me stating 'Who do you think you are' and 'Don't walk away from me'.

It was completely unacceptable behaviour and unbelievable but it seems to be the normal customer service that one can expect from Actic Simhallsbadet City gym as they are so rude, and so ignorant!

I wrote a review for this gym on another site and followed that up with a complaint sent by registered letter post to Anna Eskhult, the acting CEO and CFO, and despite the letter being delivered on Wednesday March 2nd (over 3 weeks ago) I've yet to receive a reply.

Being ignored by Actic's CEO/CFO confirms why the behaviour at Actic Simhallsbadet City gym in Halmstad is so bad and the customer service is so poor.

When a company's CEO/CFO can't even be bothered to respond to a customer's written complaint, delivered by registered post, it underlines how bad that company is and how ignorant the people are that run it!

I will be looking for another gym that understands customer service and has a CEO that respects customers and responds to their complaints!

Used to have really good customer…

Used to have really good customer support now it sucks. You can't talk to anyone? I only got support when I didn't pay - shows you how valuable a customer you are to them...
Plus, the advice to customers is incorrect on the site when you want to cancel a membership it tells you that a 12 month contact is canceled automatically but I carried on paying? Bunch of jokers. Go elsewhere there are better gyms in Sweden with better customer service.

Overcharge, Withholding information, Shady

They overcharge you during your binding time and after the contract is over, they continue to charge you money. But they are not done yet. As when you call them they bounce you around, withhold information and you're left with no answer hoping that they'll fix it.

My recommendation: Stay away from them. There is way more trustworthy companies than these thieves.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT SOMETHING THAT…

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT SOMETHING THAT ACTIC CARES OR WANTS TO IMPROVE!

My gym closes at iregular times stopping me from actually using the service ive paid for and this was in existence before corona times so this is not an excuse.

Telephone customer service staff and systems are rude and unhelpful, even when basic questions are being asked such as why have extra charges been place on my account that they will then no explain or attempt to find out more information about.

Using the online account and on telephone my details or payment, address and contact details have failed to be updated for 8 months now. I've been charged for auto giro's that are not in effect and given late fees when no bill has been sent to my address. Which i have then called up about and the same thing has happen on 3 other ocassions.

If i was going to say one good thing about the gym is that there is a very helpful team member at the gym i go to in kalmar (Benjammin) but thats it.

Service is horrible. Extememly do not recommend
