Avoid using this company

If you are in the UK, think very carefully before buying from this company. Despite the web address that looks like it is British, the company has no base in this country. The administration is in the EU, but it is a Chinese company. Which is fine, except...
The sizing of their garments is dreadful and inconsistent. So I have ended up with 3 shirts that are useless. I tried to return them. Returns have to be posted to China at the customer's expense. The customer would also have to pay any custom's fees. The company has offered me a 30% refund and I keep the garments, to avoid the 'hassle and high cost of returning the product.' I have accepted.
In reality, therefore, you do not have the same consumer rights when trading with this company as you would have if using a UK business. My advice would be to look elsewhere

Buyer beware!

Really upset and disappointed! This company are misleading customers into thinking that they are UK based but they are not and if you need to return an item, you do so at your own cost to Asia! I wish that I had looked this company up on Trustpilot before purchasing!
I bought two black padded jackets in different sizes to try, which totalled just under £90. It took over a week for them to arrive which I thought was a bit long and when I received them they were such bad quality!Contacted the company and waited a few days to have my return ‘authorised’ (another red flag), and then was told that to save me sending items back to Asia, I could have a 20 % discount instead! Absolutely disgraceful! I can see from other buyers comments that this is what this company relies on! I will be taking this further as I do not feel that it is right that other buyers will also be seriously mislead! I am now out of pocket for 2 poor quality jackets which I could barely afford anyway! I just feel as though I have been absolutely robbed. I see that the company also responds to bad reviews on here telling customers to contact them for further assistance.. and how are they going to help these people I wonder.. refund their money in full as they should rightfully do? That is what I would like as I have been scammed!

Beware Refund Policy

This company is selling products from China so if you have an issue with the product and want a refund you are responsible for sending the product back which costs nearly what the product does. They will offer you a 20% refund and keep the product which is minimal as you can’t use the product. Wouldn’t order through them again.

Warning! Do not purchase from this company.

The product was of acceptable quality but too small for my purposes so I decided to return it. Active Peaks told me I could keep the item at a discounted price since I would have to bear the cost of return to China. This is not made clear in their advertising. As far as returns are concerned they do evything they can to discourage a return: cost, inconvenience etc. I made the return to China according to their complicated instructions documenting the process. Weeks later I have not been repaid. The company has not responded to my emails or phone calls. I am now out of pocket for the item plus considerable postage etc costs.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. They make out they’re a rugged UK Company when it turns out they’re Chinese and their products are terrible. Bought a watch that was damaged when it arrived and then stopped working after a week. A piece of plastic rubbish

We waited over 3 weeks for sun hats

We waited over 3 weeks for sun hats. They looked great on the website. When they eventually arrived they were cheap looking and did not fit. To pay over 25 pounds for such rubbish is a rip off. Also told if we need a refund have to send them back to Asia. We accepted 20% of our cost. Cheaper than sending them back for a refund. We will give them to the local charity shop in the hope someone will need them. My advice steer well clear of this rip off website. They are an Asian website pretending to be UK. You have been warned

Appalling customer service

I ordered an item online on 17th March. The delivery terms were 6-10 days. On 31st March (more than 10 days later) Yodel claim to have attempted delivery although we were in all day. Since then nothing has happened. The tracker was last updated on April 1 stating the driver was experiencing a slight delay - it is now April 9th. Active Peaks are refusing to take action saying that once it's with the courier it is out their hands which is contrary to UK consumer law. They have given me a contact for the courier which is an automated line that just checks the tracker. I am completely stuck as to what to do next.

Sizing and lenght all wrong

I waited a long time for delivery, fine, but when I received my longline puffa jacket in an XL, it would not have fit a size 10....let alone a bust of 104cms which was what was advertised on the website.
It was also just mid thigh, not longline.
Having paid £60 for the coat, to return it you have to pay returns. Fine if it it is Britain but it appears to come from China and I was quoted £30 by DHL to return it. Hardly a refund for what I spent.
I wish these companies would be more transparent about where their goods are made and shipped from and were more accurate and truthful about the sizing.

Paid £70

Paid £70, got something worse than a £5 shirt. Opened once, immediately packed back. Return costs fall on customers even for clearly terrible products. Avoid this brand!

Sham Scam Company Ships From China

Sham! This company does not make clear it’s based in the Netherlands but shipping is from China. I waited nearly 2 weeks for my order to arrive, there were no delivery updates or any information on delivery, I had to email the company to ask for an update. Eventually part of my order arrived, but the rucksack was missing from the delivery. After further communication with customer service ‘Freya’, I was told it would be delivered separately and that the delivery courier had the item in the local area, so it wouldn’t take much longer to arrive. The next day I received a message saying that it had been delivered, but it wasn’t delivered! I’m now waiting for a further update from Freya as to where my rucksack is. I have been home all day and no delivery was made. I’m completely frustrated with this terrible experience and think Active Peaks are a scam company. I should have ordered from a UK based company, but I didn’t know they were not based here. What a complete waste of time. I am going to dispute payment of the rucksack with my credit card company if I don’t receive it within the next day. Utterly unacceptable.

DO NOT BUY FROM ACTIVE PEAKS

DO NOT BUY FROM ACTIVE PEAKS. If I could give 0 stars then I would. I ordered two items together from here. The first arrived 3 weeks after ordering. The second item never arrived. I contacted customer services via email along with pictures of what arrived and was told they would send the item missing out to me. When it arrived another 3 weeks later it was the same item that arrived the first time, still no sign of the missing item. I contacted customer services again with pictures and asked for a refund for the item that didn’t arrive. I have had no response since asking for a refund and have followed up now with 3 emails but nothing. I then contacted them directly through their website and received an email back saying I had never emailed them about this, despite having the chain of emails to and from them over the period of almost two months! Absolutely awful customer service and all round terrible. Do not trust this company at all and don’t give them your money as they never issue refunds. I have never had such a bad experience with ordering something before in my life.

I think this website is a scam

I think this website is a scam. The item I ordered arrived in terrible condition. It was advertised as being presented in a gift box. The gift box was ripped and badly creased with torn, broken edges. The items inside were flimsy, and very dirty and dusty. Neither item inside or gift box had any resemblance to advertised item. I asked for a refund in view of damage. Despite Active Peaks acknowledging the item was damaged, it broke its own terms and conditions and refused a refund. Despite clearly stating I did not want it, a “replacement” was sent. This arrived in exactly the same dreadful condition as the first. The company then offered discount on other purchases, which I did not want, especially given the terrible quality of the item I had already bought. Active Peaks would not refund the item. Do not purchase from this site.

Scam Company in China - BEWARE

Another China based warehouse falsely positioned as a European one, intentionally misleading and mis-selling to customers. I bought a coat advertised as down filling, waited a month for it to arrive, and when it did, it had the label cut out of it - you could still see where it had been. It was cheap man-made filling and several sizes too small. Incredibly cheap fast fashion, and of course they want to customer to pay to return the item.

AVOID ACTIVE PEAKS!

I wanted to return the item I'd ordered and get a refund as the jacket was several sizes too small and poor quality. I received an email saying the cost would be prohibitive so I was advised to accept a few pounds off the order and keep it. I persisted with my request for a refund so followed their procedure - lots of emails, post to the Netherlands at my expense for postage, entry duty etc. The item was returned to me via DPD yesterday - Active Peaks refused to take delivery of my return. DON'T ORDER FROM ACTIVE PEAKS!!!

Ordered a jacket cost £49.90

Ordered a jacket cost £49.90. Took 5 weeks to arrive. Ordered a size medium, colour beige. When it arrived the width was 14cm smaller and 10cm shorter than stated on their website. The colour was brown not beige. Also the quality was very poor.
I reported the discrepancies and asked for a prepaid postage label to return the jacket. They said I would have to pay the return postage. I refused saying that the description of the jacket was not as described by Active Peaks. After several emails they offered to refund half my money. Again I refused because the jacket was so small it wouldn't even fit my 11 year old granddaughter. In the end they told me to keep the jacket and refunded the amount of £39.95 keeping £9.95 for their "costs".
I would never buy from this company again.

Be Aware ,returns go to china and very expensive, also takes months

Order a 3Xl mens Jacket for xmas pressie, took 2 weeks to arrive,it was 7inches in width narrower than a UK 3XL.so returned on 29/12/25. It cost £26.50 to return it as the distribution centre is in china, which I was thought was in Amerstdam as thats where the web page said ,I wouldnt have bought it had I known it was to go back to china and the cost involved. Its now March and I still have no refund.customer services do reply to messages but just say sorry and cant do anything,so my £60. Jacket has cost 86.60 and no money back despite them saying there is30 day money back guarantee. But they only give the money back if item goes through customs.despite it being royal mail tracked as requested by the company. Very dissapointing in all aspects if this company.Just be aware of the costs for return before buying

Today they have been delivered back to me, with a note on the front saying 'refused'. parcel wasnt even opened - this is how they avoid refunds! Have contacted them again and will now have to raise this with my bank to get money back for me. A total scam company!

Beware - returns not accepted.

Update to my previous review about a Christmas order that took over a month to arrive. I wanted to return the item and was sent an email which basically says it will cost you so much to return it that you should just accept a few pounds off the order and keep it. I still wanted to return so followed the procedure - request to return which involved endless lengthy emails, post to the Netherlands at my expense, send proof of postage. The item appeared back through my letter box this morning a month after posting - Active Peaks refused to take delivery of my return. As other reviewers have said - customer service is only paid lip service to for Trustpilot. AVOID THIS COMPANY.
