Huge thank you to Active Pump Services LTD for their donation to our suicide prevention project. Providing a bench base , the guys ( Alan &John ) arrived onsite professional and with a great attitude of we can do this. A few challenges arose on the day but the guys found solutions .

A huge thank you to Active pumps and the team at Active Pumps for their outstanding support in resolving a serious issue at the Southwick Beach public toilets.

Following a major blockage in the pump system, They went above and beyond to get the toilets back up and running ahead of a busy trading weekend. His technical knowledge, commitment and determination to solve the problem were exceptional.

The response was quick, professional and effective, preventing what could have been a major disruption for local businesses and visitors to the beach.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Active Pumps and look forward to working with them again in the future.

I had the misfortune to experience considerable flooding at my property on Friday night. Every attempt I made to acquire help was thwarted as all services , even those with emergency numbers listed failed to answer but said they would reply on Monday!
On Saturday I began my search again and was so lucky to stumble on this company.
The telephone was answered and Danny was extremely reassuring and helpful. He told me he would arrange for a tanker and an engineer to attend within a couple of hours. Andrew and Roland arrived. What a relief and what a pleasure it was to deal with them both. They were utterly professional and reassured me they would get rid of the water and repair the macerator. This they were able to do even though it meant completing the work by torchlight.
Suffice it to say, I am indebted to all of them and highly recommend this company without reserve.

Alan and John arrived at 0800hrs each of the 3 days. It was freezing cold with snow and ice on 2 days but they worked all through each day. They protected the area around the trench and preserved the turf. They kept us informed as to progress. They backfilled and replaced 3 manhole covers including repairing the frames and rendering the sills. PaddyDude attended site twice with his tanker and finally Daniel carried out a jet blast through the new pipes and completed a final camera check. Definitely a great team!

Excellent product knowledge, installation and after sales service. I cannot recommend Active Pump highly enough.

I was quoted around 300£ for a job "if done at the weekend" but I was told it would be less during the week (because of lower hourly rate). I therefore decided for the job on a Thursday. Job was done and I received a bill of 540£ where indeed the weekday rate was applied but multiplied by TWO because two engineers came. When I was quoted the job I was given the price for the job not the price of an individual engineer nor was there any discussion on how many engineers would be sent or needed. As a side note, the second engineer spent the entire time in their car, doing nothing, occasionally coming out to make some jokes, only to disappear afterwards. For the pleasure of having this second guy on the premises, I would have to pay 195£ plus vat.
The receptionist (assistant manager) is completely unprofessional, she also previously failed to check her emails where I had advised (on Thursday) than a second job on Sunday was no longer needed and tried to blame her inefficiency and sloppy work on me for "not calling instead". As if a written request is not as good as a telephone one.
I see from other reviews lots of other people have been conned this way, with extras added to the bill that were never discussed prior to the job. Absolutely disgraceful.

I've had an ongoing dispute with this company. We live 40 minutes away from their office. They charge per half hour, with an hourly rate of £55 + VAT. So for a simple quote I have been charged 1 hour for them to drive here, 1 hour for their return journey (Google maps shows this as a 40 minute journey in each direction,. but they charge per hour for travel each way inflating the costs) adding up to an astounding 3.5 hours for a simple quote that says I need a new pump (visual inspection should have said this in 5 minutes). They don't stock the parts in their vans because this way they can charge you again to actually fix the problem. The costs of a new pump from them were a couple of hundred more than is available online. The warning bells started ringing... I have agreed to pay them 2 hours + VAT (£132) for a simple quote even though we did not use their services to install a new submersible pump, and even though they did not inform me of their costs in the initial phone conversation. Initially they have rejected this offer but we'll see what the courts have to say.

Whilst the work done seems really good. After paying the bill, they invoiced me additional previously un agreed charges, stating they "forgot" to add it to the original quote. - shocking.
