Active Recruitment are made up of an amazing caliber of consultants who genuinely care for all their clients. They have an honest recruitment approach that made me feel totally appreciated and cared for. They were always considerate of my requirements during my short term supply posts and longer term maternity cover. They definitely went above and beyond what I have found other agencies do and would highly recommend them without hesitation.

I had been approached by Ryan for a HR Officer position within a local school, which is something I have always had an interest for. Active are an Educational Job Agency who specialise in getting long term work, most of which becomes permanent if the employee and employer both work well together. I started working for this agency in September 2020 on a long term supply contract supporting SEN pupils in a local secondary school. I have been told that the agency and school are now in the process of making the role permananent. This is much better than some agencies who offer termly contracts or day-to-day work. None of which are suitable to me as I like to work with a group of children, offering stability by sticking around and not going from school to school.

Active pay weekly and also pay PAYE and National Insurance. Again this is better than some agencies which pay via umbrella companies, which can cause tax issues later on down the line. It means any money earned is deducted at source, meaning I won't have to do my own tax return forms and have worrying tax letters later on down the line.

They have a lot of schools that they work with, so should be able to find candidates work in suitable schools. I cannot praise Active enough and they found me work within days of joining them.

Active Recruitment has always been my “first choice” & “go to” Agency when recruiting either short or long term staff. They not only have excellent terms & conditions, but moreover it is the complete trust that they will find the right person for the job that is invaluable

I would like to commend and and show true appreciation for how wonderful Active is. Looking for work can be stressful and sometimes puts us in a very vulnerable position. However Ryan and his team were amazing from beginning to end. They have a warm personable nature that makes you feel at ease. They will also work tirelessly to give find the right job for you. They are honest and straight to the point, however it’s their humanistic nature that makes you feel everything is to be alright. I don’t mean to sound to demonstrative but I can’t recommend active enough. They help with Cvs, interviews and anything else you need. Their service is tailored for each client. Ryan is a great guy and still calls me to this day to find out how I am and how my job is going. He wanted to make sure I was happy as a person in life first before anything else. I genuinely believe Ryan and the team will sacrifice their own financial gain to make sure their clients are happy. This may seem counterproductive for him, but I know, as well as his other clients that if and when in need help, he will be the first person to call. This is true of all his staff, I just happened to deal with Ryan more.

I have never come across an agency that offers such a personalized and outstanding service consistently. They are warm, friendly, well connected and extremely efficient at problem solving. Jumel is a very helpful agent, he makes sure you are comfortable in the job he arranged for you.

Jumel arranged different resources to match the lessons, to help you make your day smooth and enjoyable for the time in the school.

He also makes sure you are always in work when the term just started (.ie Teaching assistant, and areas where need to support school.) He also goes out of his way to make sure everything is smooth like he got an Uber for me when the trains and buses were down so both the school and I weren't let down on the day.

All in all Jumel is an outstanding agent and has given me faith in working with Agencies again.

I have worked with Ryan and Active recruitment for a few years now and always had positive experiences. I was recently working for Active on a long-term contract in a high school when lockdown hit. The school refused to honour the contract and continue paying me. Ryan went over and above to support me in spite of the loss to his company and put me on furlough. He also secured me another job during the lockdown and is always on hand to help. All in all this is an agency you can trust.
