Never again!!!
We booked a vehicle for 10 days, our flight from Germany was an hour late, when we wanted to pick up our car, Addcar told us we would be an hour late and the car was therefore already given to someone else, the amount we received for our purposes Delay not back .... it would be our fault when I said we had paid it and it would have to be available for us in the parking lot for a week, we were turned on stupidly and cheekily turned away. Addcar = NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!
Bad experience in Dubai
I booked a Kia Rio, but when we arrived at the Dubai Airport there was an old ugly Chevrolet. Staff was on time and friendly. I told him that I don't want this car so after he brought us to their office I saw a Hyundai Elantra that I wanted in stead of this ugly Chevrolet. The manager told me that i have to pay 90 dirhams extra per day. I negotiated about the price and explained that my car that i booked was not there. But he did not give me a better price. I took the Hyundai, but i didnt realise that the car smells like cigarettes and it had burnholes in the frontseats.
I don't recommend this company.
Horrible expérience -avoid at all cost
Horrible expérience. When we took the car, the guy of the agency was not there and not even aware of the rental and we had to wait 2 hours. At the return, no one told us that the agency was outside of the airport. Then the lady invented a scratch below the car that was impossible to see. She claimed that we did not pay yet, which appeared to be false. And after all of that, she tried to rob us for a micro difference in fuel. Company to avoid at all cost
Did not get the car and requested cancellation with no response
We booked our car through Kayak.com. We arrived at the meeting place Sheraton Hotel in Krakow and waited there. The representative and car never showed up. We called the number and was told they did not have car available and could not guarantee when and if we would get the car. We had to cancel the reservation since we could not wait there indefinitely without knowing if we would get the car. We requested cancellation but have not heard anything back yet. We are extremely disappointed at the service. The charge will be disputed for sure. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. MUST BE A SCAMMER!
addCar, Rijeka Airport, Croatia, scratched bumper
Add Car invoiced me 1938,75 kn for a scratch underneath the front bumper. Will revert to this at the end of this review.
On the positive side, the car was (apart from scratches) neat, tidy, technically flawless and with full tank.
Negatives:
(A) The office was unattended when I arrived timely with the pre-informed aircraft (in the middle of the day); I had to call for attention by phone.
(B) Add Car reserved Euro 1000 from my credit card when I picked up the car. The booking was via Rentalcars.com, booking ref. 726641833 (for which I have prepared a separate review). According to their webpage such reservation should be only 300 Euro. AddCar has not yet (August 10) released the money even though the “new” damage was paid separately when the car was turned in on July 27.
(C) AddCar charged 306 kn as a special fee because my route involved a ferry ride.
(D) Two invoices to be paid, and a legally important document to be signed, were only in the Croatian language.
About the allegedly “new” scratch, I know I could not have caused it since I drove only in asphalted roads and parked in an asphalted flat lot. Moreover, I would have heard the sound had it happened. On the other side, I may not have looked carefully enough at pickup. Scratches underneath the front bumper are not visible when you inspect from a standing position; you must sit on the ground for observing them. At the pickup inspection, the addCar employee even directed my attention to an old scratch which I was about to miss, and he added it to the damage report, so I would not have to pay for that one. The allegedly “new” scratch when I returned the car was underneath the same bumper but not exactly in the same place. The argument that the markup in the old damage report could be interpreted as “bumper scratched in general” and thus would include the entire bumper was not agreed to by the rental company.
The company may perhaps have been in good faith. On the other hand, if you (reading this review) paid for scratches to the same car, Suzuki Swift license plate ST 4510-Z, then let us exchange photos so we can verify that we did not pay for the same damages. Since Trustpilot does not allow email addresses, the first contact in this respect may be via this webpage.
Customer service is poor
Customer service is poor. Too many hidden fees when not picking car at a main office. No one available to receive the car either. Suffered a 2 hr delay. The worst nightmare.

Not the exact booked gear
The guys were friendly at the airport, they waited like 1 hour more, thanks for that. But the bad suprise was the car, I booked a Ford Transit and the gear was also automatic, but they gave me a mercedes vito with a MANUELL gear, I mean just imagine, you are prepared for an automatic gear and then somebody handle you an manuell gear out. But the rest was fine, they gave me the car with low Diesel, so I needed to fill it at ne next gas station, perfect situation for somebody, who visite the first time this area without turkish money....
Addcar Croatia - SCAM AVOID
Hiring a car for a one way trip between Pula and Rijeka airports. Max hit period was 2 hours. I was told my credit card was declined so I had to use my debit card, which then cost £170 - for 2 hours!! I told the agent that I believed it was a scam and could I have an email adress and his name, to which he replied "I have no name". AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Ok we were 2 hours late and the office was closed. Big disappointment. However the telephone
number was on the door and when I got hold of the guy he came quite quickly and we got the car
without problems. I still think he could have waited when he knew my flight was late. We had 2
small children so that was not so nice.

With addCar you know what you get and you get it every time. Good value for money, good service,
good car and so easy with the paper work. I can see here on Trustpilot that not all customers share
my experience and I just don’t understand it. I have rented with addCar several times and was never
dissatisfied. Some times I book through booking.com and sometimes directly with addcar, but the
deal is always good and the service also.

There is so much value for the buck when renting woith addCar. Just the cheapest deal and you get a
really good car. I recommend them anytime. Just be a bit faster with returning the deposit then I
give you 5 stars next time

Easy piecy renting in Heraklion. Ioannis was very helpful and helped me with my luggage and
showed me how to get to the hotel. I had never been to Greece before so I was a bit nervous but no
reason for that. People drive very carefully and the car we rented was nice and clean.

to find. I met Katja who took good care of us and the car was nice and clean despite the bad and cold
weather. Only little thing is that we could not find the place to return the car, but after a call to their

Have taken 4 lots of 1,900 leva from our credit card. We’re now £3,600 down and they’re saying it’s fraud. It certainly is! We’ve got receipts to show they took these amounts out on four separate occasions. Have got our credit card company involved. We’ve been travelling to Bulgaria at least 4 times a year for 7 years and have never been treated like this. Am devastated. Can’t afford this in the current circumstances with work etc. Please, please avoid them like the plague. I’m reporting them on every media I can find. BE WARNED!!!!
