I love Adidas products. They hate refunds. Awkward.
I love Adidas. It is my ride or die brand and honestly I don't really do a lot of brands but trefoil for life. And I have the app which warning, will email you pointless guff about the AdiClub til you will break. Oh and then they break GDPR.
But if like me you work in a field where you wear a lot of trainers and need a warm coat, you shop there. Or you did. Bought stuff Boxing Day. Their sizing is wild. You could be swimming in a medium and next item bursting the seams in an XL. Also the recycled plastic Stan Smiths? Twice the price, all the long lasting capacity of the beach shoes you grab in an emergency. So greenwashing a go-go.
I send the stuff back 2nd January. 19th Jan: returns delayed. 23rd Jan we are delayed processing. Crickets. 17th Feb email: we have processed your refund. It will be with your payment provider by March 3rd. That's after I chase via Whatsapp (down), live chat (down for a week), email (bounces) and app (404)
And then they message to my putting a chargeback in on my card 'we have curated a basket for you since you had the disappointment of sending your order back.' It sounds likes a gift if you thought they did customer service as they mention about refunding to gift card via the app. I am shocked because lots of people probably think it is an apology like a voucher and you click to receive it.
Nope, they curated me a basket worth £700. For men. I'm a woman. A petite woman. Mens sizes especially in shoes don't fit. So you try to upsell by being sneaky but then insult to injury, don't even do it well. It just shows how much they don't value loyalty despite incessantly hyping their loyalty scheme.
I'd appreciate businesses respecting that I choose to repeatedly shop with them by having easy to access customer service, timely refunds and not wasting goodwill with pointless schemes. I notice the more a company has customer loyalty schemes the worst the customer service.
Come 3rd March, that app will be deleted and I will buy in store. I cannot afford for companies to keep keeping my money for up to 3 months. It's wrecking my credit rating, yet if you don't have a credit card you'd be wrecked by consumer rights. And then they yap 'no one is buying! People just return stuff.'
Yeah because you gloss up your apps but don't size the stuff (oh and cancelled part of my order your end!) Get the practical right, people buy and keep it. And legally you have to refund in 14 days of receipt. Don't offer an online only store and get narky people shop online. You are Adidas, not that weird shop in town run by the person everyone laughs is so ill suited to working with the public it's almost funny going in and getting insulted.
I can't begin to describe how dreadful…
I can't begin to describe how dreadful my experience with Adidas has been. After purchasing 3 pairs of trainers prior to Christmas I wanted to exchange one pair and scheduled the exchange. All seems well until I tried to send the shoes back. The QR code they sent for Royal Mail failed to work properly and took several attempts to send them back. They took several days to arrive but RM showed them delivered. 3 days later Adidas cancelled the exchange saying I hadn't sent the shoes back - I had to contact the CS several times and after defeating their virtual assistant managed to chat with what I think was a human. Took some doing but they acknowledged the shoes had been returned and said they would process refund. Sounded good but nothing happened - at all. Contacted them again and another human grasped the problem and said they would issue a refund but I had to fill in a form with my bank details (why not refund to the card.) At this point I seriously wondered if I was talking to Adidas or a scammer. They sent the form and I completed it and still nothing happened for a few days. I then get regular emails asking me to again fill in the form but even if I try (still worried it's a scam) the link doesn't work. I contact CS again and go over the whole fiasco and am promised they will again send the form for me to get a refund. 3 days later no form but Adidas have cancelled the return because I haven't replied to their emails (aaaggggh!). An utter shambles. I urge anyone thinking about buying Adidas shoes to not buy direct. Genuinely the agents I connected with were helpful and seemed to want to fix the problem but are defeated by the awfully disjointed systems. I note my Adidas account still thinks the original order is delayed and in transit with Royal Mail......
Brief update. Adidas CS have again reached out to me and seem to want to fix the issue. We'll see
I would rate 0 stars if I could
I would rate 0 stars if I could. I returned items over 4 weeks ago and despite providing evidence of tracking etc, I am yet to receive a refund. I’ve chased over and over and not getting anywhere. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I’ve started the chargeback process with my bank as well as reported to trading standards for breach of UK consumer laws and have reported to watchdog. I would advise others experiencing similar issues to do the same as judging by the number of reviews, adidas clearly thinks it’s ok to scam customers and break uk consumer laws!
Absolutely terrible experience buying…
Absolutely terrible experience buying directly from Adidas.
What should have been a simple size exchange has turned into over 100 messages with customer support, multiple contradictory updates, and weeks of wasted time.
I purchased a pair of Predator Elite boots on sale. The size didn’t fit, so I followed the official exchange process and returned them on time. I was repeatedly told the exchange was being processed, only to later receive emails saying it had expired, then refund notifications, then more messages saying it was still in progress.
Eventually, I was told the exchange had been automatically cancelled by their system.
I was then told to simply reorder the boots at full price—more than double what I originally paid. After all the confusion, delays, and over 100 messages with support, the “compensation” offered was an £8 voucher.
I also asked for the formal complaints route, which was ignored. Multiple agents just kept telling me to buy the boots again at full price.
I chose to buy directly from Adidas instead of retailers like Pro:Direct because I was told exchanges would be easier. In reality, it has been the worst customer service experience I’ve had buying football boots.
Confusing information, cancelled exchanges, refund issues, and over 100 messages just to try and get the correct size.
I would strongly recommend buying from a retailer instead of Adidas direct.
Terribe service
I’m extremely disappointed with how adidas have handled this.
Order AUKX2482542 – Terrex AX4 Hiking Shoes (£63.00).
Delivered 06/10/25.
I wore the shoes twice only. On slightly wet grass (morning dew) my feet became wet, which clearly isn’t acceptable for hiking shoes. The shoes were returned on 18/10/25, clean and in excellent condition, under the Sale of Goods Act as not fit for purpose.
In mid-November they were simply sent back to me rejecting the claim with no proper resolution. I returned them again on 30/11/25 as I was still unhappy with the response.
Since then I’ve tried repeatedly to resolve this via their WhatsApp chat — which is extremely frustrating as the chat keeps being closed without action or follow-up.
I have now been told they emailed and have destroyed the shoes, yet I still haven’t received a refund.
So I’m left with no shoes, no refund, and no meaningful customer service.
Very poor handling of a straightforward consumer rights issue — I expected far better from adidas.
THINK B4 YOU ORDER FROM ADIDAS UK
This has been one of the most frustrating online shopping experiences I have had in a long time.
I ordered a pair of shoes directly from Adidas because the website clearly showed the item as in stock and promised next-day delivery. The order confirmation also stated the expected delivery date. Based on that promise, I placed the order.
The delivery date passed and nothing arrived. There was no email, no update, and no warning from Adidas.
I had to contact customer service myself to find out what was going on. Only then was I told that the item had actually been back-ordered and could take up to 14 days, or the order would simply be cancelled if it didn’t come back into stock.
So in reality, Adidas took my money, promised next-day delivery, and then admitted they didn’t even have the item available.
That is extremely misleading. If a product is not in stock, it should not be advertised as available with next-day delivery. Customers should not have to chase the company just to find out the truth about their order.
What made it worse was the complete lack of communication. If I hadn’t contacted them, I would still be waiting, thinking the shoes were on the way.
A simple apology does not compensate for false delivery promises, wasted time, and the inconvenience caused.
For a global brand like Adidas, this level of service is unacceptable. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in the company, and I will think twice before ordering from them again.
Love adidas clothing and footwear but…
Love adidas clothing and footwear but recently bought a yellow abstract knit jumper with zip neck in yellow and black..lovely but I think over priced for the quality...I paid 130 for it but reckon 80 would have been the right price...lacked the quality for 130 to be honest and a bit disappointed.
The worst customer service I have ever…
The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Copy and paste responses from different agents every time and I am without a pair of shoes and £80 that I spent on them after they failed to return them to me.
Customer Service
Visited the store at McArthur Glen outlet in Mansfield. I asked an assistant about sizing of a particular pair of Samba trainers and she was off hand, told me "if we have it, it will be out" She was far too busy talking to her colleague than to help me. There was no help at all from her. I did end up buying a pair of trainers. However. I am not sure if they are what my granddaughter had asked for, so may need to come back to be changed. Which will be a waste of my time and money.
The girl on the till was very pleasant. Her operator number on the receipt was 9295. I would like to thank her.
Please Adidas give some customer service training to your staff, some of them do need it.
Let's start first by saying this is not…
Let's start first by saying this is not the official adidas site! Lucky I purchased from paypal payments to get refund... liars and thief's.... stay clear. Avoid
Absolutely shocking customer service
Absolutely shocking customer service. I ordered using a discount code, one of the items I needed to exchange so I went through that process and it seemed easy enough - this is where the hassle began.
The new item was sent out with Evri and lost (last tracking scan was 19th December) Adidas refused to send another out or honour the discount I had - they would only refund me and I’d have to pay full price. Eventually after weeks of back and forth they agreed that if I reordered at full price, tell them the order number they would refund the discounted amount.
This order was placed on the 9th January, I was advised on the 15th that a refund was being looked into. To date I’ve not received said refund, they’re now telling me they refunded it on the 9th January (which they did not do) and to take it up with my bank. Luckily I have already started the process of a chargeback.
The main issue I have had is the sheer incompetency of the customer service team. It’s like nobody is able to check systems, read previous messages and even understand basic processes - at one point they tried sending me a DOR form which Evri need in the instance of an order being marked as delivered and the customer not receiving it - but there was no delivered scan on the tracking so I had to tell them the form was not required.
This was a simple issue which could have easily been resolved, and I honestly have no idea why they’re unable to do it. I purchase a lot of Adidas products but this has definitely made me rethink being a customer of theirs.
Liars
We sent back an incorrect item at the start of December and since then I have spent close to 8 hours on the phone with Customer Services attempting to get it back.
Royal Mail delivered it and it was accepted at the warehouse, but then was either just lost, stolen or thrown away. Regardless, I am not getting it back that is for sure.
At the start of January I was finally promised a compensation payment. After providing my bank details (twice) I waited over 5 weeks for nothing.
I am just off another overly long call with them and was told "no payment will be made, we should not have said that and I hope you understand".
No. No I do not.
Adidas basically want to go back on a twice promised £59 compensation payment for an item they lost.
Nice. Really nice Adidas.
The attitude of those on the phone was dismissive and uncaring. Ultimately they cannot give a damn.
Absolute delinquents.
Nice company you got there Bjørn.
Very disappointed that Adidas have sunk…
Very disappointed that Adidas have sunk so low and don't care about their loyal customers anymore. Why have they chosen Evri as their delivery business is tragic. Evri are absolutely not fit for purpose and they are bringing your brand down to their non existent level. Sort it out. I ordered a tracksuit £120 as an adiclub member I got free delivery and told it would arrive for Friday.
I was then immediately told my order was dispatched and would get updated. Then told Evri had received my order and would be delivered Friday. Excellent this order was specifically for an event I had at the weekend.
Tracked order and Evri tells me it out for delivery on Friday.. I didn't hear anything more. Then got told they were unable to deliver and to expect on the following Wednesday??
Talked to Adidas through their chat.
This us not acceptable. Evri have my order but for some reason are going to keep hold of it for almost a week before they deliver it to me.
Adidas if you're going to use Evri I will stop using you. End of.
Poor quality
Never shopping with them again, horrendous
Gym wear faded and falling apart after just a couple of months, the trainers have worn away.
Quality of product now is very poor, use to buy school bags, shoes everything now it's over priced tat
They are just time-wasters.
I would give them –10 if it were…
I would give them –10 if it were possible.
I placed two separate orders: a backpack and a pair of trainers, both with next‑day delivery. I received emails from Adidas confirming dispatch, as well as from EVRI – the worst delivery company ever. The backpack did not arrive. The trainers’ delivery date was suddenly postponed by a day.
I called customer service. The adviser was pleasant enough and assured me the items would arrive by the end of the day.
Yes, the backpack eventually arrived, but the box was squashed. It had clearly been sitting somewhere in the EVRI driver’s car, forgotten.
The trainer delivery has now been postponed for three more days.
I ordered another pair of boots separately. That order was dispatched with Royal Mail. I first received an email saying delivery would be on Sunday, then another saying Saturday, and then—on Saturday—I received a third email saying delivery would actually be on Monday. Honestly?!
Advice to Adidas: outsource your deliveries to Amazon, because with Amazon, next‑day delivery actually means next‑day delivery.
Get rid of these incompetent, unreliable, greedy delivery companies.
Only ordered once but everything went…
Only ordered once but everything went great
not in stock but no notification
Just poor! Waited for a final item ( from three orders) that still had yet to arrive, one week later. Only for the system to say it had been delivered yet when I called, they confirmed it was out of stock form outset.
I feel customer service are just there to take peoples complaints and apologies for it. Expect more for such a brand.
Running trainers
Having bought running trainers from yourself, I used them a total of 3 times on 3 consecutive days. On the 3rd day I developed patella tendinitis in my right knee. To which I'm still suffering with. The trainers are the only thing I've changed to my normal running routine and therefore Google was my friend. I've discovered in many forums that these specific trainers cause this injury and has done to many others. So like new, I tried to return them. Only for them not to meet the returns policy. Of course they didn't. Why would a multi billion pound company give me back £55 even in a credit note, with my every intention to purchase something else with them. Having spend shy of £300 this Christmas for myself and son's gifts, I will no longer buy Adidas again
Ordered trainers not in stock
Ordered trainers, didn't get any delivery updates for a few days. Turned out they are not even in stock, but they took the order and payment anyway.
