The individuals who I interacted with not only represented themselves Adventures in Missions but also Christ in an inspiring way. Questions were answered and if it was unknown answer would bee sought after. Clear heart for participants
Kingdome meets earth
I love this organization, I love the people, their values, their heart, their mottos, thier culture. Everything about AIM screams kingdom of Jesus and I love being part of it all!!
An organization balanced in Spirit AND Word
The most trusted organization that I’ve found balanced in both Spirit AND the Word. They’ve understood how to make missions helpful and not harmful with partnering with locals, in depth training, and reliable people as resources.
Thanks to God working through them I have grown tremendously as a human AND in my walk with the Lord with my time in the World Race.
This is holistic ministry.
I trust them so much that I’m even returning to team lead and then do G42 program.

This is a great organization and going on the World Race has changed my life and the lives of many people I know.
Growth
I guess if I had to sum up what Adventures in Missions gave to me it would be growth. It wasn’t anything the organization did per say but the platform it presented, the space and staff I needed to challenge and pursue me. It brought growth within myself, with other people and in my relationship with God.

I do not recommend this trip!!!!
I do not recommend this trip for anyone. First of all, I took myself off the emails from this organization and I still get emails from you all. Second, I experienced something called inner healing on this trip from my mentor and that is not biblical. I recalled memory and left the inner healing believing something very traumatic happened to me and there was no follow up and no one tried to get me mental health help. A memory I did not remember and obviously should have seen a professional counselor about it. There is no follow up when mental health issues are spoken about. We were asked to just give it to the Lord. I am currently getting my counseling license and I was taught about how unethical inner healing is and can be. Just so everyone knows being taught on inner healing for a week or so does not qualify you to do it on others. You should be a licensed professional when doing inner healing. It takes years to get your license not a week. .That is not okay and that is probably why so many racers come back home with tons of issues. Thirdly, I love my bible and read it everyday. When I saw my leadership do something that was heretical I was told to stop reading my bible so much. That is not what anyone needs to do. Your leaders need to read the bible more! Fourthly, my leaders got drunk and team leaders got drunk on the trip. One night two team leaders got so drunk they had to be carried back to our hotel. What kind of leadership do you want??? Drinking is not a sin, but being drunk is. I pray that the Lord sends a leader into this organization to make it fruitful or this organization gets shut down completely. Lastly, I think everyone needs to acknowledge how many people finish this trip and walk away from the Lord. If most of the people who went on this trip walk away from God, isn't that a red flag???
Trustworthy organization!
This organization partners with the long-term vision of its ministry partners.

When donating it would be nice to get a thank you note every once in a while. Definitely makes it seem more personal and like I’m giving to a real person. As a participant in the Race loved it! Staff are great and strive for the best of the team and individual
Reflections
It was a good experience and I learned a lot about what to do and not to do in community with my teams. After being away from it for a while and reflecting I have come to realize that though we do community our leadership was not the most relational and there has been no emphasis on discipleship, or how to make disciples.

They are a fantastic organization that balance voyages of self dicovery and discipleship. They find partners around the world that are doing amazing things in their communities and bring hands and hearts to them.

0/100 would not recommend
I went on the World Race: Gap Year trip in 2016 and there are few, if any, experiences in my life that i regret more. My leadership team was completely inadequate and did absolutely nothing to remove me from a team that was very emotionally abusive to me. 0/100 would not recommend. I also felt that many people on the World Race trip either cared very little about helping others and were there for the instagram photos, or had a strong white-savior complex (which AIM definitely has as a company as well)
HIGHLY RECOMMEND
This is a company I would recommend to anyone no matter their season of life. I feel cared for, stretched, grown and empowered in so many different ways. They take the time to teach you new tools and give you the freedom to make them your own. They receive everyone in any walk with open arms and help guide them into the Father’s arms. They walk in grace and humility, always seeking to understand.

Adventures in Missions is a raw organization. They mobilize so many to go to the nations and experience the move of God and it BLOWS my mind... only GOD. They don't claim to be perfect and are always pressing into growth, which includes owning mistakes and growing from them. They challenge the status-quo and are constantly pressing for the MORE that Jesus has promised us all. I highly recommend this organization to anyone.
