Adventures on the Gorge Reviews 

I had a Badass time. We booked online and when we got there, things went off without a hitch from the beggining to the end. We rafted the Upper Gaulney and spent some time in the general area of the Adventure Lodge. The staff was great, the food was good and our guide on the river was "The Best"! I have been telling my family and friends that if they ever go White Water Rafting, Adventure on the Gorge is a must do. Hope I can try some of the other adventures in the future.

Excellent experience with our guide. This is a memory that will last a lifetime. The kiddos 9+7 will never forget this time, push of self through fear and wild experience in Surprise Rapid!

A TRUE ADVENTURE! I won a trip to Adventures on The Gorge. I am familiar with the general area, mostly by driving over the bridge more times than I can count, on my way to PA. Our stay was pleasant and every one was so nice. Our cabin was nice (even though it rained every day). The best part was actually going White Water Rafting. The clouds parted on rafting day. The water was warm and the view is breathtaking. The guides were great and it was a great experience. Being a NON-Swimmer, I was more than apprehensive. I do have to THANK Mike Graves, you made it all less scary. Great place to adventure to. Smokey's restaurant is a great place to relax and you can't beat that view !!

From the first phone call until we checked out the people at Adventures on the Gorge were the best people at a resort we have ever met.
The guide on our rafting trip could not have been better. The food was amazing
and all services were fantastic.

Super great staff very helpful and nice. We loved our cabin (except maybe the beds they are really firm). We absolutely loved Laun, Lauren and Clint who were our zip lining guides. They were awesome. We will be back.

The white water rafting experience would have been incredible on all levels had it not been for the language from our guide. The adventure was great. The food was phenomenal. But the filth was ridiculous from our guide. We were told we couldn’t talk religion or politics, but what spewed from his mouth, we didn’t get a vote on. He threw down the “f” bomb more times than I could count along with many other colorful words. I do not care what your profession is, or how intense the situation, people need to keep their language clean. We were a family with 2 young girls, 2 ladies and our boys. My children had never heard so much cursing in their lives as they did on this one afternoon. We would love to come again but will more than likely use a different outfit for this reason.

Absolutely love them!! We cant wait to go back. The prices were fair, food was great.

I had car problems in Summersville the day I was scheduled. I emailed the address provided to me and let them know - I told them I wasn't doing a "no show" I had to get my car taken care of and please do not hold up the others waiting on me - I have been there before waiting 30 minutes on "no shows" - I understand your no refund policy, but have to rate you low charging me when I wasn't able to go and then sending this email asking "how did we do"

A great time! Bailey and Liz were our ziplining guides- very fun and professional. And we got to use the pool with the deck that overlooks the gorge afterwards- surprise bonus. Will definitely do events with them again.
