EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

As someone who knows the workings of the Stock Market very well, having spent over 50 years trading therein, I can honestly say that the service of ADVFN is EXCELLENT. It is reliable, informative, easy to follow, friendly & they give a high level of customer service.

The 2 gentlemen I have had dealings with NICOLLO & RUS , are very helpful, polite & professional. I have no hesitation in recommending ADVFN to others.

Read The Rules Very Carefully!!!

Having set up an account last year I had not realised that this year the monies would be taken again automatically without notification. My circumstances have changed hugely this past year and life is a struggle right now. The £267 taken this year was money I don't have to throw away on a service I haven't used for the past 10 months... or will do for the coming 12!

I reached out to support to offer up an explanation and ask for a refund. Whilst this is an oversight on my part for not reading all their rules and regulations, I did expect some help and understanding. Nothing! No support or help. No understanding. Niccolo was just happy to throw the rules back at me saying it's my fault and that a refund cannot be given. Useless, blunt and uncompromising.

I had a similar issue with Stockopedia with money being taken, but they were utterly fantastic and refunded me in full. No explanation needed, just great customer support.

ADVFN support (Niccolo) offered me nothing. He seemed happy just to regurgitate the rules without and compassion, understanding or taking the time to listen and trying to find a workable solution. It felt like he was just laughing at me and my situation. Thanks for nothing, ADVFN!

I have not received news alerts by…

I have not received RNS alerts by emails for more than 6 months, apparently a bug they are “working on”. They certainly are taking their time! I reckon they are not working on it at all. They say a fix is to open a gmail account, as if we dont have enough email addresses…
Update: thanks for your answer. I’m wondering why you need more details since I called three times about the problem and your support team has been fully aware of it for months. Apparently anyone who is not with Gmail no longer gets RNS alerts by email, for more than 6 months now

Exceptional service

I have been a member for pushing on twenty years and I have been delighted with the overall service that ADVFN have provided. Yes, I have experienced the odd wobble which is usually out of their control.
Today, I wrote in with a request and within minutes I had an answer back which I appreciated.

I have subscribed to ADVFN for over 20…

I have subscribed to ADVFN for over 20 years and they have always provided a good service at a fraction of some competitors charges. In particular I am impressed by customer services who always answer the phone promptly and deal with any problems in a courteous and efficient way. In particular Niccolo has been especially helpful.

I was contacted out of the blue by the…

I was contacted out of the blue by the CEO (no less) who asks me to reiterate my awful experience on their website.
He then proceeds to tell me that they will do nothing about the persistent trolls on their bb's!
Whatever and go figure - I think JPM call the shots IMHO.

Immediate Response

As a result of my computer re- configuration late last evening I was unable to login to my account. Using the online contact message I was able to explain my predicament out of hours. I received a response the very first thing this morning and the problem was immediately resolved by Niccolo and I was back up and running logged into my account and live feed in no time.

ADVFN L2 data

Niccolo on ADVFN was very helpful. Responding to my queries promptly. I chose ADVFN L2 over other providers because the GUI (graphical user interface) is better than others I have tried (i.e. Sharescope).

Poor - Full of Spam/bots and abusive posts

Share chat facility is full of spam and abusive drivel from what appear to be users with multiple ID's and clearly emanating from outside of the UK. Complained several times, ADVFN don't even extend the courtesy of a response, eventually cancelled my account today.
There are many better sites out there!
