Terrible customer service
Paid for a washer dryer on 13 November, the purchase was made directly from AEG website. Only after the purchase I received a delivery window. It was 2.5 weeks wait for a delivery with installation. Once it finally arrived, it was damaged in transit and had to be sent back. I decided to order the same product from another shop rather than wait this long again. Credit note issued 12 December. I was promised to receive my money in 5-7 working days. Today is 6 January so 14-15th working day and no refund received. Can't get through to them, been waiting 40 min for a call back. Very poor customer service. The machine itself no issues so far, the instruction is not detailed enough though. You have to guess to figure out what to do.
ABSOLUTE RUBBISH COMPANY - AVOID !!!
Edit - after waiting a week for an Engineer Appointment. One turned up today, but didn't have the right parts, but hey no worry, we can come back next week !!!!!
Lets be honest we can all live without an oven for 3 weeks........
You should always judge a Co by how it reacts when things go wrong, and AEG UK has failed miserably.
Under Warranty we needed to get an engineers to fix our double oven.
Repairs were booked, online, as requested, slot booked.
Same day we had a call from the appointed repairer, to say they couldn't do it, no idea why AEG allocated to them, couldn't do it in 48 hrs time, but could do next week !
Not happy, so contacted CS at AEG.
Promised a call back within a certain time, didn't happen. Called the following day, and was told, 'sorry, nothing we can do, you need to go back to who you bought it from'. Explained I had done this, and as it would be a Warranty job, AEG had to do it. Put simply, wasn't arsed, told I'd have to wait for the appointed engineer .
Lets face it, everyone can do without an oven for over a week, in mid winter.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service and, as a result, cannot comment on the product itself. I ordered a hob which was delivered on 03/11/25, however it arrived damaged, with the glass smashed due to inadequate internal packaging and unprotected corners.
I contacted customer service to arrange a return. Although this was agreed over the phone, I had to repeatedly chase for the collection link before I could proceed. The item was eventually collected on 06/11/25. I was then informed that no replacement could be provided due to lack of stock and that a refund would be processed within up to 14 working days, with the latest date stated as 24/12/25.
Despite this assurance, the refund was not received until 06/01/26 — a full nine weeks later. During this time, I sent numerous follow-up messages via WhatsApp with little progress or support. This delay was entirely through no fault of my own.
I attempted to seek assistance from customer service, particularly as I was left over £2,000 out of pocket just before Christmas, but my concerns were met with a lack of interest or meaningful help. Overall, this experience reflects very poorly on the company’s customer care and handling of issues

40 days and still waiting for my washing machine…spoke to customer service so many times I had a nervous breakdown. I wouldn’t have judged them so hardship if at lest I received a reasonable support and explanation. Speaking with customer service was not a great experience. Every time I was made to feel guilty for not receiving my product, which I paid for…I did not feel supported and what is worse I’m still waiting to receive the product. Sales person I spoke to last promised they’d call me back the following day after my last call, and it’s been over 10 days now since they promised that. Sure, holidays and all the crazy around Black Friday but is it really acceptable that your product is still missing 40 days after order and payment?! And what am I to do in this time to do my laundry, bills of laundry are piling up, household is a mess. Folks, seriously, support your customers…all my appliances at home are AEG but this will be the last. Another loyal customer lost over terrible customer service and failure to even deliver the product…and only option provided “you can cancel the order”…seriously?! Shame on you!

Would you buy a new car and then wait 3 months for the AA if it broke down?? AVOID! Great Induction hob and Oven until it broke. 3 months later we are STILL waiting for their service partner to fix it. Missed appointments, missing parts, like a carryon movie. Would never buy AEG again if it was £1.
Shambolic Company
This company is terrible I wish I'd purchased my hob from somewhere else, my AEG hob arrived damaged, after emailing customer services with the photos as per their request I got no further response from them, it's been weeks now, so when I try and call customer services it cuts me off after 15mins of waiting, the chat system is useless too, do yourself a favour and buy from somewhere else this company is a disgrace they're customer service is no existent, this company used to be one of the best WTH has happened here.
Price promise is a scam
Bought an oven with the incentive of using their price promise as it was cheaper elsewhere. After purchase made, it became clear that you have a 7 day window from the purchase date (not the delivery date) to register to apply for the price promise.
The catch is, delivery isn't until after the 7 days have passed.
A complete breach of advertising standards.
I tried submitting a claim which was declined. I spoke to three different people on the support line, of which one explained it was from delivery date, not purchase date, and the other two just kept passing the buck until providing me with an email which I've had no response from and it's already been a week.
Waiting over 3 weeks for a refund!
Thank goodness I had the sense to cancel my purchase online after seeing 60% 1 star negative reviews on Trustpilot. The customer service is atrocious and what's app responses are robotic. Still received no refund and have threatened them with Trading Standards and might have to claim refund from PayPal. Please avoid AEG like the plague!
Ordered an oven 27th November- never arrived
Ordered an oven 27th November, Arrow received it 2nd December but earliest delivery option was 17th December. Text received during my time slot to say it wasn’t coming. After numerous calls (147 in queue) it was rearranged for 23rd December. Obviously I needed this for Christmas. Stayed in all day on 23rd and it never arrived, no text or call.
Further stress trying to contact them again to be told it would come at between 0800-1000 on 29 December! Tracking number they provided didn’t work.
0730 on 29th van arrives and I am told by the delivery drivers that my oven was not loaded on the van. No communication since so I have cancelled order.
The whole experience was so stressful, especially around Christmas.

Horrendous Washing Machine!!!!
Horrendous build in washing machine. SHORTEST CABLES AND HOSES ever, not reaching anything, need to replace water inlet, drain hose, and the electical wire. I absolutely detest whoeevr designed this, they had absolutely no consideration of the realities of build in appliances in mind. Aweful, disgusting. Installation delayed for weeks, spent an enornoum amount of time on it already. Just hate this washing machine. Do not deal with AEG. They are super poorly engineered.
I bought an integrated Fridge Freezer…
I bought an integrated Fridge Freezer in Nov 2019 did not extend warrenty as had previous models which are still going after 13 years. My fridge freezer stopped working properly so went for a fixed price repair £174 inc up to £500 parts. Engineer came out and guessed there was an 'undetected leak' didn't touch the appliance said unrepairable. Promised and still waiting for refund back from call out. Couldn't get the discount off a new one through AEg as impossible to get through even 3 times asked for call back. Its clear that this 6 year old model was treated as disposable and you are expected to just buy another. Been forced to go elsewhere will never buy AEG again and certainly would not pay for a call out repair as its a waste of time.

So far it has taken one month from ordering, today is the 3rd time on the supposed day of delivery that I had a text to say it will not be delivered. I can honestly say you are the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I will never use your company again. Cannot contact via phone to talk to someone, only contact is via whatsapp . When I asked someone to call me they advise they cannot make outgoing calls. Cannot cannot talk to anyone, cannot contact Arrow XL the delivery company AEG customer service is non existent, a complete waste of my time. AEG should consider removing ARROWXL as their delivery company. I ordered two items to be delivered to two properties that are very close to each other. The delivery drivers were unprofessional. One item arrived damaged and had to be returned. When I told the drivers that the delivery to the nearby property had been canceled, they said they weren’t the only drivers in the area. That doesn’t add up, since their names are clearly shown in the tracking updates. It took them nearly three weeks to come back and collect the damaged item. You can reach customer support quite quickly and return or replace items without much hassle, but I am still waiting on three separate refunds and have been waiting for more than a month. I have initiated a chargeback and involved my bank; we will see whether this is resolved promptly.

Beyond poor experience from moment of delivery of the damaged (Read: smashed) goods.
1. Shambolic delivery:
I literally watched the courier deliver item to my neighbours house, and laughably, heard the driver state “they’re not in”! Lazy delivery and he lied!!
The box was damaged on three-sides and internally the glass topped hob was smashed on one corner (where it’d been dropped by the courier) and a crack along 50% of the surface.
It’s worth noting the internal cardboard packaging did nothing to protect the four-glass edges of the product. So the design is flawed, even without the courier dropping and crushing the box in his van and again on a gravel drive.
Internally the top and bottom are covered but not the rectangular, glass edges. This week I’ve seen posts on kitchen Facebook groups where others had experienced exactly the same damage on delivery.
2. Apathetic Service:
Once I’d seen the damaged box I knew it was bad news. So I Informed AEG, via their WhatsApp App platform, as they are only available to support Monday to Friday. After a several interactions (mostly with their AI bot!), I requested a replacement. That part was agreed (by an human!) and I was advised it’d be ordered there and then.
3. Lies:
Two days-later, not a whisper had been received from AEG other courier. So, I chased for confirmation, and was advised that no replacement hob was on order. Two-days!! Appalling service.
AEG described only one courier company is used and that because ‘the courier platform is overwhelmed by workload, they couldn’t raise a ticket to order a replacement’.
How can AEG not re-order a replacement? Regardless of chosen courier workload.
4. No collection date still!!
AEG took full payment of my money (£1,630), within a three-minute transaction on 03-12-2025. However, after requesting a refund, I’m now sat in limbo/radio silence awaiting a date for collection from above mentioned, useless, courier service. Again, for the smashed goods to be entrusted with them to be delivered to a warehouse for inspection.
5. Ruined Christmas:
It’s now 19-days since paying in full for usable goods I didn’t receive, and four-days since I requested a refund, with still NO COLLECTION DATE!!
We’ve got NO HOB OVER CHRISTMAS, and I have spent over four- hours straight trying to resolve the situation, 80-minutes of which was ‘on hold’ on an unanswered call.
We were supposed to be hosting 12 family members for Christmas Day, this has now been cancelled and multiple alternative and inconvenient arrangements, to many of our family members, have had to be made.
6. Management ignore requests:
One nice lady I spoke to four-days ago did really try to help. She promised to place a request for a Senior Service Manager call me, to discuss the lack of activity/support to resolve the issue. Needless to say, no one was professional enough to actually speak to me and I have left multiple messsges requesting this. Zero communication.
Beyond poor service on a first time AEG purchase. AEG have no shame as they simply blamed their courier service for inactivity/incompetence on their part. “Sorry ,our couriers high volume of workload has prevented us (AEG) to raise a collection ticket”, how is that taking any form of responsive action to a genuine customer complaint.
How poor for such a large manufacturer to blame their couriers for having a single point of failure support process. Will NEVER!! purchase AEG again and strongly and actively advise anyone else not to spend money on such a shambolic company. BUY NEFF, BOSCH, HOTPOINT IF YOU WANT GOOD SERVICE AND AVOID, AVOID, AVOID AEG!!!
29th Dec, 2025. Chased AEG today and was advised the courier request to engage with me for collection STILL HAS NOT BEEN PROCESSED.
Beyond ridiculous as their high volume was again cited. I’ve now taken action with my credit card company as AEG are simply not delivering on basic commitments to organise the collection of the smashed hob.
Order 0016843768 – Breach of Contract and Failed Delivery (30+ Days)
I am extremely disappointed with AEG’s handling of order 0016843768 (placed 22/11/25). It has now been over 30 days, and AEG is in breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Their chosen courier, Arrow XL, has cancelled the delivery on the morning of arrival twice (10/12 and 20/12). Each time, I rearranged my work and personal life to be home, only to be let down at the last minute.
Despite these repeated failures, AEG’s only response has been 'can not guarantee a new delivery date' !!. I bought this heat pump dryer on a promotional deal and I am formally rejecting a refund. A refund is not an adequate remedy as it would cost me significantly more to buy the product elsewhere now. I am holding AEG to the contract of sale and require "Specific Performance"—I want the machine I paid for delivered via a reliable, prioritized service.
I have lost two full days waiting for no-shows. I expect an immediate escalation from the executive office to ensure this is delivered and that I am compensated for the massive inconvenience caused.
Time and Money wasted to accomodate the company
Ordered microwave on the 2nd, booked a timeslot on the 5th for delivery on the 13th - all confirmed and no issues. Day of delivery get a text stating the microwave has not arrived at the depot and they will contact me ASAP
Reached out to the courier support which is web chat only but couldnt reach anyone for days even when staying for over 1 hour each time. Reached out to AEG support and they said the issue is for multiple people.
When asked for updates they said they dont have any. When asked for delivery dates they could not help. when asked for arranging a different courier they said they cannot do that. All they can offer was a refund.
Yesterday the courier sent a text stating they will book for tomorrow and its a forced delivery slot for when the microwave will be delivered.
So now after being ghosted by the courier Im forced to cancel my plans to accomodate the couriers so they can do what they should have done a week ago.
This is now wasting my time and money spent on the plans which I will not be able to refund. Thanks a lot AEG
