Booking the trip was easy

Booking the trip was easy, and I wanted a package for the first time visiting Ireland. Included was the first night in a hotel and B&B vouchers for the rest of the week. Apparently the hotel stay is tied to which week you book. City West Hotel in Saggart was part of the package and our first night. It was not what I expected. A huge sprawling hotel with beautiful public areas but old rooms and long long hallways with multiple stairs. Had to switch rooms to one closer to reception as my daughter was ill. Very hard to book B&B's for the last night, in closer to the airport counties. Loved most of the B&B's, in the one in Galway though we had a room like a large closet. Very tight!

Last hotel was not very nice.

The last hotel of the trip was not very nice. The people were nice and the food was great but the rooms really need refurbishing. It was a disappointing end.

We customized our vaccation package to …

We customized our vaccation package to visit family in both UK and Ireland. flights, car hire and B&B in both countries, a perfect combo. The B&B vouchers worked out well, though a little complicated to book as each country had a different booking company and different procedures. Definitely plan ahead, as there might be limited availability in the areas you want to stay.
The flights were great, going from and to Bradley in Ct was a big plus. The planes were a bit older, the seats were bottomed out on the flight home, not the most comfortable. For all we did and saw for what we paid we were very happy with Aer Lingus.

Our trip to Ireland through Aer Lingus …

Our trip to Ireland through Aer Lingus was fabulous! Every aspect of the trip went very smoothly and the vouchers worked perfectly. Two of the three hotels we stayed in were wonderful and the other one was very good and just needed some updating. We visited three cities: Dublin, Cork and Killarney and we enjoyed seeing three very different places in Ireland. It was so interesting to experience the unique personality of each one. Also, we were so glad to have chosen train tickets over a rental car. The train was easy to use and relaxing and it allowed all of us to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. The only glitch we had was having to sit on the tarmac 2 hours after our flight landed at Chicago O'Hare before we could get off the plane, which resulted in our missing our shuttle bus back to Milwaukee, but we were able to catch the next one an hour later. (We realize that the issue at O'Hare was not at the fault of Aer Lingus.) All in all, our trip to Ireland was a dream vacation and we loved every minute of it! I would highly recommend Aer Lingus to anyone who is planning a trip to Ireland, especially if it is their first trip like it was for us. Thank you, Aer Lingus, for making our first experience in Ireland so wonderful! We can't wait to go back!

When Irish eyes are smiling!

This was our first trip to Ireland and we had a fantastic time! The scenery was spectacular, and the hospitality of the Irish people was wonderful. Our tour guide Pieter was a wealth of knowledge, and our bus driver Niegel was excellent. I would recommend a trip to Ireland through Aer Lingus to everyone!

4 Night Mother - Daughter Getaway to Dublin

I booked a 4 night Dublin trip for a Mother-Daughter trip from Hartford, CT and was thrilled with the ease of the reservation on the Aer Lingus Vacation Store. The cost was affordable and the flights, hotel, and included tours/admissions were very good. With U2 in Dublin the weekend we were in town, out hotel was far from the City Center. The hotel, CityWest, was very nice but it was at least 25-30 minutes in to town. The only other thing that would have been really nice to be included with the package is airport transfers. We reserved taxis which worked out but not having to worry about that would have been ideal. We will definitely book via the Aer Lingus Vacation Store again. Can't wait!

Aer Lingus package B&B.

Was hard to get someone on Aer Lingus phone.
Scheduled Bunratty castle banquet, was given 5p dinner(printed time), got there and said I was scheduled for later dinner!
Many B&B's were already booked, also couldn't book close to Belfast or Dublin City. Thought there would be more B&B options.
Would have liked one night stay in hotel near Shannon on first and last night, instead of 2 nights stay on landing.

Aer Lingus airlines was great

Aer Lingus airlines was great! The package we purchased was good overall, some of the hotels were fantastic and some not so great but that seems pretty fair.

The majority of the vacation and hotels …

The majority of the vacation and hotels were awesome. We had a few issues with Dooley rental car and the Hotel Fitzgerald Woodland House (would not recommend that hotel and it was certainly not a 4 star Hotel, 3 star at best). The other 3 hotels were outstanding and the trip itinerary met all of our requirements and needs. I would highly recommend the Quaint Villages Package.
Aer Lingus did a great job in scheduling the trip and providing all of the required information. It was a wonderful trip, memories of a life time

Booking our vacation with the Vacation Store

Booking our vacation with the Vacation Store was very easy and hassle-free. I only called the Vacation Store once and the interaction was great. The representative made me feel welcomed and appreciated the phone call. Obtaining tickets and information was easy, but not through the Vacation Store, it was through Aer Lingus itself. The only reason I did not rate it a 5, more like a 4.89, is because the Vacation Store is not Aer Lingus airlines and upgrading or choosing seats is done through the airlines. It makes sense, but being new to the Aer Lingus club and flying made it challenging to get immediate answers, as I would call the airlines, but be directed to the Vacation Store. A laision between the two would be a great addition to the Aer Lingus operation, at least in my opinion.

What a delightful vacation

What a delightful vacation. I was able to visit the country of my ancestors and it was much more than I ever hoped it would be. Aer Lingus' partnership with Globus Travel was awesome. Great hotels, food, guide and tour.

Wonderful trip…

Our trip to the Emerald Isle with our 16-year old grandson when as smoothly as possible. We are pleased we took advantage of the Aer Lingus package for the value and flexibility it offered!

Our grandson loved every minute - that means we did also!
