I have given them one star because I cant give them a zero

I have given them one star as there is no option to give zero stars. The pick up was scheduled for between 1 and 3pm. At 3pm I rang to ask where they were. It went downhill from there. This company has to be the worst and the issue is the own. Do not book this company.

The owner knew I would be sleeping on the floor but still blamed everyone else and took no responsibly. Then had the audacity to charge me extra.

I would give them a minus rating but…

I would give them a minus rating but the system would not allow it. Most of our furniture was damaged in the move. These movers were disorganized, did not stack the truck properly - it was the worst move ever. I now have a 1920 Victrola with gouges in the front, my cherry wood bedroom outfit is splintered along the edges, several handles broken off, and a leg broken. Our coffee table top tiles are shattered, the corner of my high top eight person dining table is crushed. Our cherry wood head and foot board are scraped where they were pulled or pushed along concrete on their ends. Our leather living room outfit is scuffed along the sides. The covers on the mattresses and box springs were torn. They had no concern for boxes marked fragile. Fortunately since I packed those items well we had no damage inside the boxes but many of the boxes themselves were so damaged we were sure the items inside would be damaged. Since we did not take out insurance, we have no way to file a claim but I can make a statement here to warn others. They may be cheap movers, but the cost for damaged goods is too high to warrant the savings. Choose wisely. We now have to replace and/or repair nearly all of our furniture.

Never ever use this movers.

Never ever use this movers.
Terrible experience. Pick up stuff from the house and exit on the highway and stop on the Petro-Canada gas station to fill the gas . And later the driver refuse to move the truck until I give him extra 400 dollars
The driver asking double price to move the truck . And when I refused to pay .They pulled the truck on back of the Food basic in Markham and Shepherd and start unloading the truck. I talk to the Manger Rolando but he start hanging my phone .He was the most unprofessional guy .
Never ever use these movers .In short they are money grabbing mover.

Terrible experience

DO NOT USE THIS REMOVALIST DUE TO THE FOLLOWING
- They turn up with wrong size truck and charge you double as they need to do multiple trips and not using toll roads as tbe fastest option!
- They break and damage your belongings and tell you they are insured although never pay for or replace your damaged items.
- They do cash although dont provide receipts unless you continually email even after you are told when you book they provide receipts.
- The receipts you get dont have your name and is not itemised to show what you were charged for.
- The company charges you GST on top of the hourly rate.
- Manager John is rude and totally unprofessional and blames the client for the job costing more even though they send the wrong truck and after being provided with an itemised list of items to be moved and size of the home and stairs etc.
- They say they will give you discount for the inconvenience then charge you an extra hour.
I would not recommend this removalist to anyone as they are not an ethical or professional removalist.

Unbelievably pushy!

I haven’t used them but merely called for a quote. They have called me 5 times in two days and just as many texts. Being pushy and annoying won’t get my business.

My move was undoubtedly the most…

My move was undoubtedly the most stressful I experienced. 2 men showed up in a 20 cubic truck instead of the 60 cubic promised. I was told to take it or leave it. I had no option. The original 7-8 hours (and 1 trip) promised, ended up being 3 trips and 12.5 hours charged (I had to negotiate down to 10.5 hours). Furniture held to ransom every trip until I paid cash. No receipts or invoice. Owner was rude and totally unprofessional. Only good thing were the 2 guys who finished the job. Smooth talking sales people but I am convinced they used a smaller truck on purpose to increase time on road. Also charged GST on top of $139 ph when it shows inclusive on website!! Be warned.

I actually used them once before too

I actually used them once before too. Move went OK but there was some breakage. This time, I contracted for them about a week out from out move. They stayed in touch for the whole week confirming. The day of the move they said they were going to be late. Move was at 10am, they said they'd be there at 3pm. They never showed and stopped answering their own text thread. They never showed up, and now, 24 hours later, still haven't called, texted, or emailed to apologize, explain, re-book, nothing! I'm spitting bullets mad and I will tell everyone and everybody to stay clear from this company. Just terrible customer service, then they didn't even show up! Stay clear.

Worst Experience Ever

We called and inquired about a quote about the cost associated with using this company to move us (local move), we stated the size of the our house and that there would be 2 stops, 1 at storage unit place (storage right next to our house) and 1 at our apartment (6 miles away). We were quoted that it would take 3 men, a truck, and 5 hours to move everything with costs being **** (they were not packing, just moving). We were told that there would be additional charges per hour that we ran over the 5 hours. Which we understood that, what we don't understand is that the 3 guys showed up with a truck that was too small for the job, no furniture straps, and no furniture dolly. This meaning 2 separate loading and unloadings by hand which took considerably longer. The first load was storage only. That was finished roughly at 11:15. At which time Kelly suggested they break for lunch. He then asked if we would buy them lunch because they did not have any money. I offered to buy them pizza. Kelly stated that he didn't want pizza, he wanted Hardees. So, instead of me staying at the house staging everything so it could go straight out to the truck, I had to drive to get them lunch. Then Kelly asked me to go to the store to buy him heartburn pills because he had really bad heartburn, but again he didn't have any money. I told him that I had some at the house. He asked if I would go get them and bring them back to him before going to buy them lunch. I did as he asked. After all of the running around I did for Kelly, I lost 1.5 hours of work at the house. In that amount of time, I would have had the remainder of stuff staged and ready to go on the truck. Not only did I pay for their lunch, but I also paid them to eat that lunch plus the gas money running around! The time was now 12:50. I then had to run to the apartment to pick up the keys and meet the Verizon guy to hook up cable/internet. At about 1:50, my husband calls and says they are just about to leave the house to the apartment. They arrive about 40 minutes later because the truck would not start and my husband had to go to the neighbor's house to get jumper cables and jump the truck. This was another 30 minutes wasted (and on the clock). Then at some point before arriving to the apartment, one of the guys left. So we are now down to 2 men. Once they arrived, I find out that your company was demanding another **** for the overtime, plus *********** per hour after that. What were we supposed to do, our belongings were being held hostage on the truck until we agreed to pay. Then Kelly wanted to take the truck, filled with our belongings (2nd time he tried this), to the bank. My husband said absolutely not. So, he had to drive them to the bank and then they wanted to go to the store to get snacks etc. An hour later and our gas money, they returned. Kelly then proceeded to smoke and talk on the phone while the Marcus (I think that was his name) busted his tail trying to get the job done. My husband finally had to step in and be the other guy. It wasn't until then that Kelly started pulling his weight. When setting up the furniture I noticed every single drawer to the night stands were busted (the clips that hold the drawer to the track), a piece of wood was broken off of the bookcase, several pieces of furniture had gouges in them, and my glass dining room table was broken. Then I find out that to move the piano, which they knew about in advanced, they flipped it on it's side. It is a 100 year old player piano ($XXX-XXX to to fix it). We had to pay an additional ******* on top of the ******* for this! Plus we paid **** for what was supposed to be a deposit, only to find out it was a referral fee because "The Trusted Movers Network" referred you. The customer should not have to pay for a referral, the company getting the referral should! I feel that we were quoted a price that you knew was not accurate just to get the business. This experience was the worst! I called over a dozen times and sent emails and no one would return my calls/emails.

WORST COMPANY EVER

WORST COMPANY EVER. Seriously, take your chance with someone else. Delivery was 1 month late because they decided to store my stuff on the wrong side of the country! Candles were completel melted so it is not temperature controlled even though they tell you it is. They put on a great sales face, but all of it is lies. They held my items hostage when the final movers came in a smaller shuttle (which you have to pay extra for), and was a third party they hired, and when they presented the final price to me, it was different than my quoted price. So I had to wait and call the company, and the guy SCREAMED at me and said he will take all of my stuff if I didn't pay the difference. I refused, and thankfully the third party people were so kind and gave me my stuff because I had the invoice. Half of my stuff was broken, including several boxes that were smashed in half with huge FRAGILE written on every side. Seriously, save yourself from this horrendous company.

Terrible company

Terrible company. DO NOT use Affordable Movers! They were 3 weeks late with the delivery. Then as the truck was unloaded we discovered several missing items. The truck driver said it happens all the time and recovery can take up to two (2) years; if at all. The company says they are only liable for $0.60 per pound on the missing items. In other words, your property can be lost/stolen and they pay you pennies.
I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone...

Not ever used a moving co.

Not ever used a moving co., I checked to see that they were real. Licenses, Department of Transportation number. etc. So, sales "Brandon" does his pitch promises ready to go with estimates by phone. Never offered to come and check! Scheduled for a Thu-Fri. Agreement with "Brandon" to put a $2K deposit to hold for scheduling ( busy season!). I was contacted both days not available to make appointments. Came Saturday without the truck, and went thru the home and came back with another higher price. I want my money back!!! I moved, Uhaul truck and car dolly. For less!

A great job overall

A great job overall. I would definitely recommend this company to others looking to move long distance as I did. They were great during the booking process and the men that came to the house were great as well. Over all 5 star job!

Affordable Movers really came through …

Affordable Movers really came through at the last minute when another moving company's truck broke down. The price actually cannot less than I was quoted so that was a pleasant surprise. The crew that came to my home was great and very efficient.

If I could give this company a NEGATIVE …

If I could give this company a NEGATIVE 5 stars I would..To begin the movers who picked up my furniture, to my demise, stole my pain meds and I know NOBODY was in my bathroom except for those two ex convicts. I was told I was way over the quote and would have to pay more upon delivery by nearly $500.
I requested my furniture request on 10-20-2017 as of today 12-12-17 I am still waiting. Sam at 602-722-9469, this was the number I was told to call from the main 800-208-5573 by Megan x310 Operations Manager. So I called Sam he told me on 11-30-2017 it would be another 25 days for delivery. Infuriated I called back dispatch at the 800 number x2 she said I misunderstood Sam and it would be only 2-5 days not 25 days silly me. Well 2-5 days would have been a week ago. Every time they just kick the can down the road.
I have hired the best lawyers money can buy. The have my car title, I am disabled and cannot even get around without my car. The former Illinois D/A happens to be my boyfriends father and his sister is an exceptional attorney. I this these people should be afraid when they stand before GOD and have to explain how bad they have treated so many people and have disrupted so many lives.

Beyond unprofessional moving company

Beyond unprofessional moving company. The scheduling part was easy - and after that, everything was horrible. They picked up my stuff and left packing tape, supplies everywhere. Afterwards, they shipped the WRONG person's possessions to my new address - caught it, did not tell me this error, so when all my boxes were delayed, I had no clue why. It took at least 5 phone calls to get the explanation they sent someone else's boxes. After receiving my boxes about a month late, I submitted a claim since the movers had broken a side table and container. 9 months later, this is still unresolved. I have submitted claims twice and been told someone would be in touch "within 30 days", with emails documenting both claims.

Absolutely horrible and unprofessional, and I would not recommend them or their awful service to anyone.
