Reconnecting to our natural selves
I had a great experience finding my cultural connection to a Nation and clan of my maternal ancestors. African Ancestry is doing a great service connecting Africans all over the world with reconnecting to our natural selves. I would recommend it to anyone that has a great need to know and share their family history that was lost during the slave trade. This journey invites a further study once you know. I only wish African Ancestry would give you the opportunity to do all tests once you have given a sample by logging on and paying once again. Otherwise excellent!
African ancestry is amazing
African ancestry is amazing. I really appreciate their hard work that they do for me and others on a daily basis. So far I’ve used them twice and plan on using them again for my parents. Thank you for helping me find the pieces to my puzzle in helping my find my roots that had been hidden to my identity and now know who and what I am.

I did the Maternal which came out European .now we await the results of the Paternal which my brother took.. We had dna at another Ancestry place. .we wait now for a few more week's
I know where my family came from
I was able to trace my ancestry back to Ghana on my mother’s side. When I googled her tribe Akan, the facial similarities were so striking I felt a sense of belonging.
Now, I will do the test for my father side.
African Ancestry serves a vital role in providing a bridge from present to past.
African Ancestry serves a vital role in Black society by providing a knowledgeable bridge from the known present to the unknown past. Without African Ancestry I would have no knowledge that my paternal heritage originated in Burkina Faso as a member of the Bissa people.
This has been life altering.
Great company!
I am excited about the results I received from African Ancestry! It really begins to shed light on my family geneaology!

Appreciation to African Ancestry
I like the time and effort that African Ancestry puts into their presentations and explaining the test and results. I love the certificate of the DNA results down to the tribe. I'm looking forward to doing the next text.
I expected better than okay.
I was extremely excited to get my results. My enthusiasm dampered a bit when 8 weeks came and went and I didn't get my results. I sent AA an email inquiring about the status of my test and received a fairly immediate response. Still it took another two weeks to get my results. Now that I have them, that part is priceless! However, I shared with AA that I do expect more of a customer friendly experience for my $300...just to keep us engaged while we await our results. Also, I ordered four shirts from AA and one of them was wrong. I had gotten my mom a Cameroon shirt and Gabon shirts for myself, my sister and daughter but was sent four Gabon shirts. We can do better.
Customer Service and email commenta
I am happy to have gotten my results. I was happy to have learned where my mothers and mothers mother come from. I thank African Ancestry for m results. I got 4 emailed updates regarding my results and when I would get those results.
I did not like the fact that I was told one date in the beginning approximating when I would get my results and then getting one of the emails of another date. My results were later than the original date. I called African Ancestry and the customer service was not that courteous. Other than that, I am happy with my results and plan to share with other family.
simply the best
I have yet to get the results
I have yet to get the results. I received an email on Jan 30 2019, informing me the results were mailed on Feb 5,2019. So to speak that wasn't possible since it was January. Now February 5 has come and gone and still no results. The review would not be favorable at this point.

I was ecstatic about receiving my results; however, much disappointed that there were no percentages given, in regards to, how much of my DNA is related to the tribes/group of Peoples, discovered to be my ancestral kin. With that being said, I am a bit confused, as to which group(s) I would like to visit in my Hope's to being connected to relatives of my lineage.
Indifferent
We are still waiting for my boyfriends results. We were given a delivery estimate between 01/14-01/28. Today is February 10th.
Think twice
First they got my name wrong, then they took forever to send it, they sent me an email on 2/1/2019 saying that the results were mailed out on the 5th (SMH). Today is the 6th, and I'm still waiting for the results. I've called a couple times enquiring about my DNA results, and couldn't get a definitive answer, seems they were always waiting on someone else to get the job done at their own pace.. Nope, I would recommend
