Hotel booking has wrong dates

Hotel booking has wrong dates.
I advised AGODA as soon as I found out and as I was travelling arrived at hotel. Hotel was happy to change dates if AGODA confirmed so they could ensure payment.
AGODA said I needed to allow their booking intermediary 12 hours to determine request so no room for that night. AGODA offered several excuses before cancelling non refundable booking and declining a refund.
I made a fresh booking with Expedia for correct dates and now need to try to get a refund.

Will never use Agoda again

Will never use Agoda again ! Had several different hotels booked on a Sri Lanka tour through Agoda. Two of the hotels which were booked & pre-paid did not have our rooms. Impossible get any response from Agoda.Apparently they use third party agents to make some bookings which according to Agoda is where the problem lies. On our return they eventually offered a pathetic amount of Agoda cash credits as compensation. All you can deal with is an online chat robot, very frustrating,Terrible company, beware !!

Arrived in Gulhi island for 3 nights…

Arrived in Gulhi island for 3 nights after making a reservation and payed in full thru Agoda website, worth mentioning that I was in contact with management arranging my pick up from the harbour and everything was fine, until I actually got to the harbour and there was no one to meet me, as the island is small I decided to walk there, once I’m there I was meet by the only person that try to do anything to help me which was a waiter. I got in touch with Agoda and they told me it was fully booked, that I would get a refund from them and some cash £100 on the app for the trouble, now the funny part, I was left alone in a island which was fully booked for the weekend, with no ferry’s or speedboats transfers, now, it cost me 15 dollars to get here on a speedboat, 70 dollars to leave the island to male again as the closest island maafushi was full too. No one took accountability, couldn’t get hold of the hotel management and no one cared and Agoda things that 100 dollars Agoda cash is a fair compensation not to speak about the fact that I lost 1 day of my holidays stressed and going back and forward. The hotel management hide, ignored my messages and pretend they did nothing wrong!

NEVER AGAIN WITH AGODA!!!

NEVER AGAIN WITH AGODA!!!

We booked once in Tuntrum Hotel and the date go back to the month before. We thought..ok MAYBE WE DID WRONG...MAYBE.

Then we would extend one night at Truntum hotel because a friend is going to celebrate at Truntum end of February.

It ended that WE MADE THE SAME MISTAKE????? AGAIN???? OOO ARE WE SOO STUPID OR AGODA WHO WAS A SCAM???

NO SHOW. We even haven't arrived! If there's -100 then we would rate AGODA SO.

We in Sweden HATE SCAM!

Warning : It is a shit difficult app . Processing your funds before you can check . They refuse to refund me even after I contacted them and rebooked the correct dates immediately . Poor service

Bad service and flexibility

I have always had good experiences with Agoda, but unfortunately, this time was different. We booked a hotel, intending to reserve a room for a specific date. However, after completing the booking, we realized within five minutes that the wrong dates had been selected.

We immediately called Agoda’s customer service, expecting a quick and easy fix, given that the mistake was noticed almost instantly. Unfortunately, despite our prompt action, the support team offered no help at all and refused to modify or cancel the booking.

Mistakes happen, and we understand that policies exist, but when a company is unwilling to assist loyal customers who report an issue within minutes, it raises concerns about their flexibility and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Very disappointed with Agoda’s lack of support in this situation. Will think twice before booking with them again

Horrific

Horrific, almost entirely automated customer service, do not indicate check in times clearly - left me stranded at 11pm because they failed to indicate when check in closed.

Be warning of Agoda system limitation, holding payment then confirming unable to authorise payment, it's ridiculous!!

Ridiculous system limitation that's how Agoda operates, holding payment for a booking then confirming that they have limitation on their system and now need to manually process payment, like a joke!! Please fix your system and train your staff to understand the issue and response email in a proper way rather than keep making excuse of system limitation. If you want customer to call you back then better to give direct phone numbers, make a request rather than an order manner from your email.
I've been a long time customer and had spent a lot of money on accommodation/flights via your website so please at least respect me like one of your value customers.

Lovely peaceful relaxing

Recently spent a wonderful week at Aquaria eco resort in Candidasa Bali. Beautiful, peaceful oceanfront spot, lovely rooms, gorgeous friendly staff and to top it all, fantastic restaurant that focuses on fresh, sustainable authentic cuisine. Definitely recommend it and will be back as soon as possible!

Be careful

When u place an order, they decide the name of the guest for u, they'll just use the username u use in the app, not asking whether this is the name u want for the reservations, and after u find out about it, and realize the hotel won't let u in nor allow u to cancel, agoda will disrespect u in the worst possible ways.
1 hour waiting on phone call, same answers on their chat bot over and over, ignoring ur emails or giving u unrelated answers, and worst of all, not helping u solve the problem they created.
Stay away if u love ur money.

Price gaurantee Scam

Booked accomodation with Agoda via Trip advisor, recently seen the same accommodation with Agoda via Trip advisor considerably cheaper, eventually managed to contact Agoda via email in order to claim a refund for the difference, sorry I ever bothered, some 40 emails, 10 screenshots and 5 URL,s later, I've given up. Different agents reply saying we need this & that , it doesn't fit the criteria send us this, one agent Tabish said it was a legitimate claim but required further information, this I sent only for another agent to say you need to send other information, That's a day of my life I won't get back. DONT BOTHER.

Do Not Use

Booked three weeks in advance with Agoda, received conformation money was debited from bank. On arrival at hotel there was no reservation, so in person I paid for an alternative room. Contacting Agoda I received "Edinburgh House Hotel has advised us that they are able to accommodate your booking. According to their records, it appears that you did not check in for your reservation"The booking form is currently empty and has been marked as a "no show." Dam right lie from Agoda not the Hotel

I booked a hotel for three nights but only got one

I booked a hotel for three nights. When I payed, the cost for all three nights where taken from my account but I only got a booking reservation for the first night. So now I only have the room for one night but payed for three? I have checked with the hotel and they can only see a booking for one night. Agodas app and custome service is a big joke and there is no phone number or person you can call for help. I will never book with agoda again.

Got an offer, ended up paying more.

I booked a hotel in Napa Valley via Agoda. I used Agoda many times before and never had any issues or problems with them.
But as I can read from other reviews and can see that I am not the only one with this bad experience.
The offer on the Internet was 1526,- Danish kroner including taxes, and that's about 210 US dollar.
When we checked out of the hotel I had to pay 302 US dollar.
I was wondering about that, but wanted to check up about it later, since I always take screenshots of everything, I had the screenshot of the offering price and also the date I booked the hotel for 1 night.

I consulted Agoda customer care, which first is a jungle to get in contact with, but finally through WhatsApp I was in contact with 2 different agents. Bad customer service as I had to write the same things twice because they were to lazy to read the previous conversation. I spend 2 and a half hour providing them with all the needed validation of my offer from them, and what I Actually paid. I had screenshots of the offer and the final bill.
They came with a lot of foolish excuses that they needed the screenshots in English, and that the Danish screenshots not was valid documents. I can't provide them with English screenshot since my Agoda site is in Danish, and I suggested them to use Google translate or Chat GBT.
I also explained them that it is cheating people when you offer them a price, and than later charge you for a whole another amount. I also explained that I was an old customer with a lot of bookings before, without almost no major issues.
They couldn't help me further, so they just lost a good customer for 90 dollar, or 650 Danish kroner.

Don’t be fooled by the headline cost, make sure it adds up when you go to confirm booking

Didn’t book with them but was enticed to going to them because Tripadvisor and google showed them as the cheapest per night. Then you go through the stress of finally picking a hotel within the 60 min sale offer, and setting up the app as it’s 10% off through the first booking on the app, and when you go to confirm the price has suddenly jumped up despite the discounts and the proor page saying it includes all taxes. What a waste of time and unless I double checked, cost.
