SCAM

SCAM. AVOID! Prices are 30% higher through them than booking on your own.

AVOID at all cost - incredibly misleading and overpriced

I received a gift card through a third-party platform and chose to redeem it on AirlineGift.com, expecting to book flights at regular airline rates. Instead, I was shocked to find the prices on the site were massively inflated—far above what you'd pay booking directly with the airline.

As many others have pointed out, this completely negates the value of the gift card. Any benefit from the gift is effectively stolen by the markup, with the website pocketing the difference.

Frankly, I’m surprised this site hasn’t been taken down yet—it operates in a way that feels deliberately deceptive. BE WARNED: this does not function like a legitimate travel gift card and should be avoided.

Absolute scam.

Priced up a flight with KLM directly. Then realised my employer offers airlinegift vouchers, so I bought one for that value. And after buying it, 3 problems:

1. With voucher systems, you can use them direct on the KLM booking system. Not this one. You have to use their web portal. Trouble with that, is...

2. The flight times I need aren't listed at all on airlinegift, despite being available on KLM's site. I can't get them. And worse...

3. The prices on airlinegift are 200% higher than booking direct with KLM. Yup, you read that correctly.

I'm now stuck with 700GBP of vouchers that I can't use (because the flight time doesn't exist) and would be crazy to use (because it would end up costing me more than the price of the voucher.)

An absolute scam

An absolute scam - you buy a non-refundable voucher only to realise the flights/ tours/ transfers are anywhere between 50 and 100% MORE EXPENSIVE than if you book direct. Despite several complaints and back/ forth communication they are refusing to refund my voucher and I have lost money as a result. I want my money back.

Should be ashamed of themselves. PURE GREED. AVOID

Should be ashamed of themselves. Even with a considerable value of vouchers, the flights are more expensive through them instead of going direct.

Why not issue us with a physical gift card to use for a selected airline instead of being greedy? No refunds either. Shady business practise, greedy.

⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ Beware of Hidden Costs

I'm writing to warn potential customers about my recent experience with Airline Gift. While the idea of using a gift card for flights seemed convenient, it turned into a frustrating ordeal.

Here's what went wrong:

* **Deceptive Pricing:** The prices advertised on Airline Gift's website were much higher than what the airlines themselves were offering. In some cases, the price difference was staggering – nearly double the actual cost! This misleading information was a major disappointment.
* **Refund Issues:** After discovering the inflated prices, I attempted to get a refund from Airline Gift. Unfortunately, they refused my request. Considering the significant amount of money involved, their lack of flexibility was incredibly frustrating.

Airline Gift's practices feel downright deceptive. They lure customers in with the promise of deals, but then hit them with hidden costs and unhelpful customer service. This is simply unethical.

If you're considering using Airline Gift, I urge you to reconsider. Save yourself the hassle and book your flights directly through the airlines' websites. You'll likely find much better prices and avoid the issues I encountered. Don't fall victim to Airline Gift's misleading tactics and overpriced flights.

Such a scam, prices significantly higher than direct with airline

I received a £100 voucher from my brother as a gift, however I've not used it due to the rip off flight prices meaning I'd pay more to actually use the voucher. The prices on the website are always 30-50% higher than booking with the airline directly, it's such a scam. Save yourself and whoever you're gifting some money and stay clear.

Scam company

Scam company. I spent 1500 through my work perks login for a 6.5% discount on a BA flight. Just to find that you can't book with BA. You have to book through their website and the flights were £500 more expensive than with BA direct... Absolutely mortified

RUN FOR THE HILLS!

Seems like it’s the same company that runs tripgift. As others have told you I got a gift card from my work as well and thought: “Hey, I have to travel… why not use it on flight tickets?!”… and why not: “ throw some of my own money into it”. It’s heavily overcharged, impossible to book and the website is ——— mess. I never felt this scammed in my entire life. Runt for the hills!

Double check terms and country of residence or country where voucher will be used.

This is a very helpful option if you're wishing to gift someone a voucher, but the redeeming part is very tricky. It can't be redeemed in any country, unless you've chosen the currency of that country where the voucher will be used in, which is absurd. Also, there are no low-cost airlines in the database to work with (we're in the UK and our friends were in Portugal and wanted to visit us), so this voucher is a bit of a pain in backside. The terms & conditions are not detailed and it is just a money pit. Bought my voucher from a 3rd party which wasn't very helpful either. The reason for 2stars is that the customer service department did try to help us out on the booking, but we were unable to book the flights our friends (in Portugal) wanted and use the voucher. The voucher was transferred to my name, but we were still unable to book the flights as the airlines charge a fortune and there was still an error in processing it. Very sad....

Untrustworthy and unhelpful

I received a £100 voucher as a bonus reward from work. One of the options for redeeming it was against something called the Airlinegift card. On their website (with very little information) they say that it can be redeemed against airline tickets across 450 airlines. I assumed that it was like a book token which could be redeemed in a bookshop against a purchase. This was an incorrect assumption. It turns out that it can only be redeemed against purchases made on their website. I didnt think this would be a problem. Except that not only were the prices significantly higher on their website but also, there werent as many options. There have been problems with registering and logging in (password that they sent - twice) doesnt work and the customer rep Elena was totally unhelpful. Of course you cant look at redemption options or indeed how things work unless you have registered on their website (and presumably) have already credited your voucher. So now I have wasted my money with them. Do not use. Not trustworthy or helpful.
