I have worked with many banks and financial institutions across the globe but this one really stands out. They are very professional, personal and expedite! Paco and his team gave me answers to all my questions and guided me through their system easily! I highly recommend them to all companies looking for a fast and reliable financial partner.

THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM BANK IN THE WORLD.
I initiated 7 SWIFT transfers from HK > DXB & all 7 were “Sent”
2/7 arrived and the rest? DISAPPEARED.
I ask them what’s wrong, I go back and forth for 2 weeks and we end up recalling the payments.
Sure, it happens. Right?
Well, hell no. Recalls are still in process (6 weeks now)
New transfers initiated… SAME PROBLEM.
Asking for an update? They just copy-paste previous emails and send them to you, telling you to be patient.
No number to call on.
E-mails contain fake names, which I can not mention otherwise the review will be taken down.
Zero support.
HOW ARE THESE PEOPLE IN CHARGE OF MONEY?!

was trying to open a business account for my Malaysian company for the sole purpose of making online payment for bills such as google, microsoft, telco.
after submittef all my document including SSM and my ID, they send an email requesting for more information, whether i will use my account for 3rd party and want to do a f2f verification to determine my identity.
no format provided as to how to submit “document” for above 2 items all i can say is confirm this is for my own company use only. For F2F verification, they did not even provide option of taking photo or have a video call back but me to submit document, what document?? make it make sense airwallex.
Like I mentioned to you, if it is going to be so difficult, to open an account I will just revert to traditional bank - why I choose you was because bank charges annual fer for debit card, not that I am unbanked.
checking my SSM detaila plus my personal informatikn you should have details on my company and my personal taxes - if that is insufficient, i can only say one thing, good luck doing business here in Malaysia, I will be sure to inform all my clients, friends and family on the nuisance you are and keep away!
come and ask for reference number, where there is no reference nunber provided. next asked for my full name and mobile number to post here, this company do not even know PDPA. sincr i started applying for this account, i stared receiving wa messages and call for loans! I could report you to BNM directly for violation of personal information since i can’t paste any screenshot here.
and your reply here doesn’t even seems you understand my point. you want to verify my identification, but did not provide an option to call or take live photo just to submit a document? how would submitting any document able ti verify my identification when I have even provided you my ID and it doesn’t work. I can’t believe how low of an IQ you people have there!

Airwallex uses a completely opaque risk model and refuses to provide any reason for account rejection.
Customer service gives contradictory answers and hides behind “final decision.”
No transparency. No accountability.
Not suitable for SMEs who need stable compliance.
Account applied: Arqen LLC
Please provide a reason for rejection and a way to delete my submitted KYC documents.

I applied to activate an account for my SaaS company, which has been operating in Europe for over 7 years. They sort people by nationality and generically assume you're bad. Ultimately, I was denied. It was a waste of time.

Our business experienced a very concerning situation with Airwallex that other founders should be aware of.
Following a relatively small commercial dispute on a wholesale transaction, our entire business account was frozen and the matter escalated into a Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) account freezing order affecting a substantial balance.
After reviewing the documentation and evidence provided, the police applied to the court to lift the POCA restriction shortly afterwards, and the court agreed. No further action was taken.
Despite the restraint being lifted, Airwallex has continued to retain the funds under an internal holding period following account termination.
While I appreciate that regulated financial institutions must take compliance seriously, the scale of the escalation and the continued restriction of legitimate business funds has been extremely disruptive.
Businesses relying on fintech banking providers should understand how account freezes, compliance escalation and offboarding policies can affect access to working capital.

After they closed my account, they deleted my statements. I want to file taxes, and I can't download. I have been in contact with them for 2 months, no answer.

If I could give it a zero, I would.
Airwallex wallet is responsible for transferring my salary to my local Indian bank account. I attempted the withdrawal, and faced a deduction of a heavy transfer fee. I thought the issue was on my bank's end. So, I added another bank account and attempted another withdrawal. Same issue. I was robbed of around 200$. I tried calling their support team and wrote numerous emails, but there was no response or explanation. They are clearly running a scam of swindling users of heavy transfer fee while they try to make transfers. Cherry on the top is, they hold the money in the wallet for only 45 days. So now, I have money sitting in a stupid wallet that is of no use to me, and within 45 days, I will not even have that.

Extremely disappointing and damaging experience with Airwallex.
My business account was suddenly restricted and I lost access to my funds without any clear explanation. Starting from 21 January 2026, transactions stopped being processed and access to the balance was effectively blocked. From that moment I repeatedly contacted support asking for clarification.
For weeks I received nothing but generic template replies stating that a “review is ongoing”. No explanation of the issue, no timeline, and no request for any documents or information from my side. During this entire period I was unable to send or receive payments and could not access the funds held in the account.
For any business this is catastrophic. Because of the inability to pay partners and contractors, I lost clients and business relationships and was ultimately forced to stop operations.
After a long period of silence, Airwallex finally sent a notification stating that the account is officially suspended as of 5 March 2026 and that the funds remain frozen. This message looked almost mocking, because in reality the account had already been unusable for a long time before that date.
Even now there is:
• no explanation for the suspension
• no clear timeline for the review
• no transparency regarding the status of the funds
• no clear procedure for withdrawing the remaining balance
For a financial institution that holds business funds, this level of opacity and lack of communication is unacceptable and extremely harmful to clients.
If this situation is not resolved promptly and my funds are not released with a clear explanation, I will be submitting a formal complaint to the relevant regulators, including the FCA, regarding Airwallex’s handling of client accounts and the prolonged freezing of funds without explanation.
Businesses should be extremely cautious when relying on a platform that can block access to funds for an undefined period while providing no meaningful communication.

Airwallex can send a welcome email in seconds, but the one email that actually matters—the validation/verification email—never arrives. I retried multiple times, checked spam/junk, and did all the usual troubleshooting. Nothing.
What makes it worse is the support: unacceptable. Slow, generic, copy-paste responses and no real resolution—just wasted time while I’m stuck at step one and unable to proceed. If you can’t reliably deliver a basic verification email, it’s hard to trust anything else in the service.

"I am a new user. I only used my account for an Apple Developer subscription. Airwallex has suspended my account and is holding my remaining $368.08. Support (Emily) is giving me the same robotic replies for days. They won't even refund my money or close the account. This is affecting my business."

I am extremely disappointed with Airwallex.
I received a payment link from them related to a crypto investment. At first, everything seemed fine — the process went smoothly until they took the money.
After that, the service completely disappeared.
I was not satisfied with the service or the support I received, so I requested a refund. That’s when I discovered something very concerning:
The support email they provided does not exist
The phone number is also non-existent
This is absolutely unacceptable for a financial platform.
I currently have no way to contact them and I am demanding a full refund of my money.
Never trust this website.
I have evidence to support everything stated above.

They have very quick and easy client support, IBAN numbers for many european countries, different currencies, payment processor. It fits very good for my Hong Kong company. I have been using it for about one year now, with only minor issues.

I found everything I needed with Airwallex, and when I ask a question, I get a very quick and precise answer. Very satisfied, I recommend them.

From day 1, not a single thing went right.
- I received a payment via payment link-
I had to chase them to have this put into my wallet over a week later.
- emailed customer support, my account manager, used the ai tool escalate to ask about a service I desperately need. Over a week and no replies.
- tried to connect my bank account, made a substantial deposit which still has not been registered. Have been back and forth with customer service for 3 days now because they keep insisting on a ‘remittance advice’ to which I explained repeatedly I do not have. But- I have provided dates, transaction numbers, amounts, everything else. This person continues to ask for information in a format that is neither helpful- nor possible to get on hand.
- a client tried to send money and received error codes. 5 working days later- still no reply from Airwallex as to why (despite all account info being correct).
I have stopped having funds sent to Airwallex because I simply do not trust it will arrive.
The only thing they’ve done adequately is open my account in a timely manner.
Honestly, seriously could not be more disappointed with this company.
