Very positive experience with Aston James Associates, acting on behalf of Earlswood Valuations Limited. They were one of the few companies able to assist us with a land valuation, which we really appreciated.

Our surveyor, Patrick, was professional, thorough, and attentive on site, and provided a clear, detailed, and comprehensive valuation report. Communication was smooth and efficient throughout.

I was really happy with the service provided by Aston James. It’s so refreshing to find this level of care in a company. I needed a situation handled promptly and they certainly delivered. The office were responsive to emails, helpful on the phone and generally understanding. The experience was great as the surveyor came on time and was super patient, polite and thorough when looking throughout the flat.

From initial enquiry about a survey for probate to the report being sent everything was dealt with promptly. Replies to my emails were almost immediate: questions were answered, a price quoted and date set and forms sent all within a couple of hours. Carmen the administrator, made the process of booking a survey seamless.
Patrick carried out the survey. He arrived on time, was professional, told me what he was doing and answered my questions. I received the report within three working days.

Excellent service, the inspection was carried out on the agreed date and a comprehensive report was delivered in accordance with service level agreement, allowing for Christmas holiday period. All communications were clear and professional.

If you just want a standard tasteless survey report for conveyancing, then they're a good choice.

After I received the survey report, there was a roof part where the surveyor Vincent Smith had no access that day. I used my personal drone to take the images for further some advice, which is fair for him to state he cannot give accurate assessment with few static images, but he also offered me an option to link with a local contractor for an indicative price. However, even after I clearly stated I just want an indicative price with a local contractor for now, he was still going on and on about his full service and utilising the "fact" he doesn't want to be remiss, so yes, ignoring his customer wishes and treating them as fools are also what they good at. If that's what you also like to sign up for, go for it.

Look at his tasteless survey report, sorry that I'd rather not to pay one more penny on your services.

I have just received my right to acquire offer, and I thank Patrick Oliver MRICS of Aston James Associates for this. My flat has 4 bedrooms but is quite small, he reflected this in his appraisal, so now i know that I'm paying the right price for it .The report was issued in 3-4 days after inspection. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Patrick was very helpful and friendly. He booked an appointment within the week, traveling out of area for it and sent me my market valuation report the same day.

Patrick and his team were very responsive from the get go. From time-keeping with conducting the valuation survey on the day, clear knowledge of area of practice, timely return of the valuation report, and fair process overall.

I would highly recommend Patrick to anyone searching for a chartered surveyor. He is very friendly, experienced and professional. I contacted him on Friday and he came to visit the property on Monday afternoon. He is easy to get in touch with via phone calls and text messages and he was very understanding about my rush to get the valuation report produced as quickly as possible. In just 3 days, he provided me with a 15 page detailed report on the property. Patrick is very good compared to other chartered surveyors I’ve worked with in the past.
