Alans Factory Outlet Reviews 

Quoted 4-6 weeks for install. It's been over 10 weeks. Still have never heard from them, it's August 13 and they have already moved office hours to winter time and close to early for me to call. We ordered from alans, but they don't actually have any information. Maybe because we only spent $3000 we are not getting much attention. Complete disappointment so far.

So far things are going well. We're grateful for the ability to have different colors on the right and left sides of the roof. Having to enlarge the pad to accommodate the construction ladders was a bit of a setback. Wish we had known that upfront. Also, wish that the side nine lite door had an operable window, with a screen.
We look forward to having made a good, long lasting investment.

The interactive 3D modeling on the website is brilliant! I found competitors’ websites that purported to have similar capabilities to be balky, clunky and just poorly done. After I ordered my building I found the folks at Alan’s Factory Outlet to be responsive, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. All in all, a very satisfying experience!

The ease of configuring the building and the help of Rachel, Courtney and Suzie through the ordering process made this transaction a snap. Very simple directions.

Price was very fair in my opinion and the design process was easy and provided many options to choose from.

So far, I have only completed the ordering part. That part has been great.

Flexibility.
My design was saved so I could go back and make changes as I thought about the purpose of the building. I was able to proceed when the larger project timeline allowed for this portion. The flexibility has been appreciated.

Great Website and tools for design. Also very friendly and helpful phone service for questions. Just in the ordering process now but so far very happy.

I dealt with Melissa LeCour over the telephone and email. We were having trouble getting her calls to me to go through for some reason. Her willingness and patience to get in contact with me and see the process through was second to none!! She was top notch!!!

I liked the builder online which is really easy and fun.. however customer service is lacking and could be better and communication is so far in my case non existant. I was told 6 to 8 weeks after my ground prep photos were approved and setting at 8 weeks after now with no word. Had to call to find out still a month out before possibly being able to start building my shop... but had to call to find anything out. A simple email wouldnt hurt or a phone call especally if you know its going to be twice the quoted time.

I ordered my carport back in March, I've not heard anything about my carport, I've tried calling them, emailing them, I have left messages and of course the emails were automated. Would never recommend this company! I'm going to contact my attorney and get some advice!

I really intended to write a 1-star review based on my experience with the delivery policies, but the set-up guys that FINALLY arrived to set up my carport were so nice and efficient and did such a good job setting it up that it really tempered my angst about the process. Nearly 3 months to schedule the delivery and setup is ridiculous. My new vehicle sat under trees catching twigs, acorns, pine cones, and the passing birds while my building was NOT on its way. And I had to dig deep in the paperwork to see that the delivery schedule is based on, essentially, when they can get around to it. I was actually going to eat the deposit and call local metal carport builders, but they were no better than this! What's the deal with metal carport builders???? At any rate, I have my carport and I'm quite, no, very happy with it.

Great Communication

Alans Factory Outlet was extremely easy to build the plans. In addition, they sent out very clear instructions, have contacted me several times to keep everything moving. Very professional and easy process.

The building is very well built, I could not be happier with it. the fit and finish are fantastic. As for the install crew they were very good at communicating, respectful and extremely hard working. these guys are real pro's every screw is inline; all the trim is perfect. I was amazed to see my 25-18 shop with a 12-foot Carolina side awning get built in a single day. these guys are the real deal! I am planning on a car port next, and my son is planning his new shop with Alan factory as well.
